      Are you running double cardinal joints if so your angle is set at the top by the transfer case pointing the pumpkin towards it.

    You dont just get SAS so it gives it that classic look. You get it for articulation, hauling, towing , also stronger than a IFS . It might not be as smooth over bumps but a good suspension set up it can be. I have a 1989 toyota pickup extra cab sr5. With 35s ,SAS, lockers F/R. But right now I'm trying to figure what swap I want to do the 3.4 or a 22RE, or the tdi but the tdi might be more work than I want to do.

    • @neptuneiv8791

    I help do these all the time, lots of work, I'm pretty sure your front spring hanger has to be set forward unless those springs are 1st Gen rears, or those came in a kit or something

  • @doctorain

    We need to hook up. Have a few 3x 3g projects and 2x 2g bigger projects. Took my 99 across to Anahuac, NL to my tio’s a few times. On the way to the bridge it lost a relay, had to rig a wire for the fan and fill the radiator with tadpole water from a trough. Ended up turning around and going back to the house because didn’t want to breakdown on the highway or spend the night on the bridge because I was too late arriving. Hit me up when you leave the frontera and make it to San Anto, come check out my collection of not yet running projects.

    I need to know if when you welded the crossbar with the front springhangers on did you remove the 45 degree gussets that are rivetted to the chassis and stops the new bar fitting on. Thanks Wayne

    Nice, but I see a bad camber position, you need cut the differential housing or axle, I don’t know exactly the name in English, in the tips, and welding again with the correct angle.. if you don’t fix this before to finish, you have a big problem in the steering wheel.. excellent proyect and good luck

    • @OverlandNomad
      @OverlandNomad  4 роки тому +1

      @@OverlandNomad better, I see you channel and you have good videos, I want to see the final for this hilux.. other questions, this level is like for 37" or 40" tire, you put a 5.29 gear? And the other, this front axle is for a land cruiser?

    • @OverlandNomad
      @OverlandNomad  4 роки тому +1

      Yes it’s regeared to 5.29 front and rear and I’m running 35s. I’m happy how it has performed with that combo for years especially on the highway. The axle must have been off from a 1983 Toyota Pickup.

    • @4lexccs
      @4lexccs 4 роки тому +1

      OverlandNomad mmm ok, the same for the 4Runner first generation... cool bro, if you can, make a video, when you finish, how long does it accelerate from 0-60mph with the tires and the gear ratio you have, which I already know you have 5.29, but it will help you to have more views ;)

    Hi!
    I own a 1987 LN65 with only 9600 Miles.
    The Firetruck has been on standby in a small Austrian Firedepartment in a village close to Vienna. Perfectly maintained, no rust at all. Double Cab, Diesel, Power steering, 5gear manual, 100% original.,
    Who would know for how much I could sell it?
    Regards
    Franz

    Wish I knew what the holes were that you cut. Also how the steering bolted up. Oh an what about the leaf mounts on the axle no clue what you were doing there. Very poor video if you were trying to teach people how to do a sas.
