Ok that intro was freaking AWESOME ! I love to have this one in my hand only little bit pissed because ps1 doesn't run good. Bigger screen is a great improvement and great Review !!
Thanks for this review, another nice video. If this one will hit the amazon store ( or other EU stores ) I definitely gonna pick this one up. Wanted to buy a retro handheld the whole year and I think this might be good for a start, but I am not a big fan of imports, so hopefully amazon will offer this one as well ( the predecessor can be bought on amazon )
I can say that the PlayGo and Pocket Go V2 is one of the best on the market. I had to wait a long time for mine, but it was well worth the wait. The black PlayGo from 2019 is my new go to. They din't ship an analog stick, btw
I'm always late to the party I tried to get a PG 2 last month but they were sold out so I settled for the first version now that I'm waiting for my RG350 to arrive I might not need it but the PG 2 still looks sweet if it's even available again I will be sure to grab it I love the videos I been watching for a few years now keep doing your thing.
I think this has good potential. Looking forward to see how they handle the future revisions. I think the lack of quality control is a turn off though. They sent another reviewer an upside down logo as well. You would think they would at least make sure the reviewer copies are good to go.
I have the original Pocket Go, the series 1. It still holds up, it’s a really good console and I’ve noticed NO screen tearing. The only problem is that this thing is TINY like small. Smaller than an iPhone XR screen. It can fit inside the screen of my iPhone XR!
Brandon, mine just arrived with the screen intact however the analogue joystick remains the same as your review unit. Still, a beautiful unit. BTW, if you want to use a large(64gb) micro SD card for ROMS on the Pocket Go v2, the card must be formatted FAT32. I learned that one the hard way. Sigh.
@Wolf as soon as you get it, download and make a folder of NTSC nes games. The game cones preloaded with like 20 PAL nes games and they play like garbage but NTSC is flawless. That is about the only flaw besides the N64 emulator being crap.
could you try me on the mega drive emulator? I would like to know if it is possible to configure the gamepad with each game having an individual configuration or the configuration is global?
You mentioned that shreck hands might put it to sleep... Does that mean that they fixed/added suspend/resume? I thought it wasn’t there yet with no ETA. ???
I'm just hoping there's a way to use Game Genie and/or GameShark codes should I so desire to use them. Another thing I wonder is does this run PSP games at all? Also, I'm not sure where the $50 price tag comes from because on the site, it's priced at $65.99 and up. Guess it must have gone up since you did this video over a month ago. It's all good. I still might consider it when I have a little extra money, but, would also like to know if it does the things I inquired about. Any further info would be much appreciated.
Mine is arriving soon. Can't wait to play it! And how about the Super Retro Game... Are you going to do a review of the unit as well? I hope it runs well PSP, N64 and Dreamcast!
its advertised with colourful buttons on retromimi, but does it come with them? as every review I see they have the black and purple ones. Also on retromimi under the "what is included:" it does not state it comes with said rubber cap for the stick. so im unsure if I should buy or not.
That Kirby game was running really fast. I wonder if there is a way to adjust the clock speeds to adjust that.
4 роки тому+2
I think the game is running faster because he's playing the PAL (European) version and maybe the emulator settings are in NTSC (America). I have a PAL Super Mario Bros. 2 cartridge and it runs faster on my american NES, so I think this may be a similar situation.
Just got mine i can't save state strider 2 on the ps emulator and the brightness adjustment won't work any suggestions? Love your vids bro greetings from Dublin 💚💯
Yes they are, i think the original BPG have small cuts where they fit into the original's shell, we can imagine the cuts are different in the new Go 2. :/ But we'll test it soon.
So if we end up ordering this handheld will it come on Dec 20th with all the updated features you said? The new screen glue, analog stick etc. Or will we have to wait longer for the final version to be released?
On mine the menu button isn't labeled, so I thought it did nothing. In fact, it doesn't do anything when I press it. However, if I press the start button too hard, it brings up the menu. I'm guessing somehow they wired the start button to both spots on the pcb. How did they fuck that up?
just a heads up. the rg350 and pocketgo runs the same chip so saying rg350 is more powerful is incorrect. just want to make sure there's no misinformation. my pocketgo hasnt come in yet so i can say on build quality but the plastic does look cheaper than the rg350.
THe USB C port was loose on mine when i bought it, if you wriggle the plug around while its charging is it stops and starts charging… sent an email to Aliexpress and they said i should try and resolder it…. I dont hav the tools.. or the confidence to do it, but i eventually bought a solder iron and attempted to reflow the solder points on the port, it made it a little better but its still quite loose… :(
Hi everyone :) What's the difference between Play go and Pocket go? In hardware? Or only the screen is darker? Please tell me which one has a better screen :)
Among all those chinese small portables, is there any that is more powerful than a PS vita and can play also PS, PSP and Dreamcast games? Seems that they all look the same and that all of these console are fundamentally able to emulate up to the PS level, but not further.
I just bought one but I can't seem to play metal gear solid from the ps1 on it. I asked the seller who I bought it from why that is and he said that particular game can't be played on this device. Is that true?
Mine finally arrived today. Ordered it on launch from Bittboy themselves. Came with an upside down printed Donkey Kong sticker that cant be removed... didnt ask for it, dont want it. reached out to Luana from Bittboy to see if they will send me a replacement battery cover... will see how that goes. First experience : Pushed the Power Button and nothing happened. Looked at the instructions to see if I was missing something and it says to hold the power button for 2 seconds...ok..... tried that and still nothing happened. Charging it now so will circle back to see if the thing actually works. So far..... pretty disappointing.
