Chubby is from my home town, he is an absolute gentleman off stage and he is all an act that is all… the fact that people are cancelling him up and down the country is just embarrassing really. People unable to recognise an act from reality, unable to recognise freedom of artistic expression and taken offence on everyone else’s behalf wanting him cancelled for everyone, they are the problem not chubby.

Seen him live many times. Brilliant comedian. Outside of his shows he won't have people swearing, alot of fans will shout stuff in the street, but if they have kids with them he always asks them not to in front of the kids. Also done a ton of work for charities.

Comedy shows have always had warnings like “if easily offended do not attend”, but now we have these little dictators going around telling people what they should or shouldn’t find funny.
He sold £10k worth of stock a couple of years ago and donated £5k to 2 charities Zoe’s place ( children’s hospice) And the people who looked after him when he had throat cancer.

After moving to the US one of my earliest bar conversations with a friend of my Missus was stereotypically about different words. Pavement/Sidewalk, Aluminum/Aluminuniunium < correct, obviously..... She asked what we call Sneakers, I said Trainers. She thought it was the most ridiculous thing she ever heard😂😂😂😂. I said "You're far more likely to train in them than sneak".
Same. Was lucky enough to get tickets when he came local around the turn of the century. Loads of family and friends leaving afterwards and not one of us could remember a single joke, even though our ribs were still aching from laughing. Everything he said in the act was so crafted and timed to perfection it was like hypnotism.
His last joke about Bradford where he said his dead comedian friend said something and everybody presumed he said it ! That was a reference to just a week after the Bradford football stadium fire he went on stage and said you didn't invite me too your barbecue last week did you ! And there was rumours he had his legs broken for saying it !
Seen him live a few times....the last time we were sat so close to the stage i didnt want to get up to use the Toilet knowing he woukd say something....sat there for 50 minutes desperately trying to not wet myself 😂😂😂
I used to work in a store that sold videos. We had some nuns return to our store who were angry about the video of the movie, "Jesus of Nazareth" they had bought from us. We took the video back and everything looked fine with it. Playing it back, however, revealed they had watched Chubby Brown. Someone must have purposely put the Jesus of Nazareth label on the cassette (which WE didn't stock) just for that very purpose.

I went to see him live once in a club called The Barbary Coast, The place well and truly lived up to its name, it was just one mass brawl after another. Fortunately I was in a large group from work, we were ok as nobody fancied their chances against 15 firefighters 🤣

I saw him last year and that was the best night of my life, Chubby is absolutely funny. The best part is at the end but you cannot see it on UA-cam, after a short break he walks on naked with his private parts covered, it’s what he does that makes everybody laugh.

Everyone else cried off so I wasn't going to leave him hanging even though the humour was not my thing at all - I'm a lefty type, social justice etc. It was.funny at times but the outright racist jokes got a standing ovation & the clever jokes got a golf clap.
