There is only one rule: Love yourself. With that, there is no way you would have anything to go look for, and no one to make you feel like anything is missing when THEY mess up.

There's always an excuse my ex husband has an affair she was 16 and he was 27. We both were pregnant at the same time. I left. Then to find out he took her to my OBGYN for her first appointment. His excuse was he liked this doctor because he delivered our other child previously. I wanted to co parent but kept getting calls from her friends at all hours of the night. Had to get restraining order. He gave up . Finally ended him paying only 33.00 a week in child support never paid. For two kids.
The new wife can't put rules on him regarding the child these rules will have to change as the child grows. How is it going to work when the child start school activities or games. Or school function birthdays. Basically the affair is becoming a part of your life always. There is no trust.

That is so selfish of him. When women are pregnant, they are in a vulnerable state. That is when us men have a moral obligation to be extra vigilant with protecting, nurturing, and being there. There are good men. I turned down every opportunity I had to cheat. It's not just the principle, actions affect others. I hate it when people say all men cheat. It's an insult to the ethical men.
The trust is broken and, in this case, cannot be repaired. She will never be able to trust him again and the stress & anxiety will make her ill. They'll both end up miserable. She deserves way better than living with so much insecurity.

Between teens and parents, or between husband and wife, trust is like a bank account. When you trust one another the account is several million dollars. But these husbands squandered their entire accounts and spent it ALL on whoring, and now they have to start refilling that account of trust and it is going to take hard effort, with total transparency. Lotsa luck guys. I would kick them both to the curb and get as much alimony as I could get. It is very hard to trust a cheater, and nobody likes to be made a fool of. Nobody likes being lied to, nobody who takes their marriage vows seriously likes it when the other person cheats. It is breaking a promise before God, and before one another and all the people who witnessed your wedding. In the scheme of things, that is pretty damn bad spiritually, emotionally and psychologically.

My sister slept with my husband the night after I had our son by c-section. I had bought tickets to see Nelly but went into labor 2 days before the concert so as a great sister and wife I told my sister and husband to go. Found out weeks later they had taken full advantage of the hotel I paid for. Fast forward to my son being 13 and then my mother took her turn and she and my ex husband have been together 12 years now. Best part is they live together and tell everyone that they are "financial partners!!"

Definitely not true, it depends on the person and the circumstances, some are serial cheaters and when your with one of those, things can get out of control. I also have bipolar disorder, which means I have an incredibly difficult time in managing impulse control. Before I got a handle on how to manage it (which took years of therapy) I would give into impulses, my ex husband was a serial cheater, I cheated on him after I found out he had cheated multiple time's (again, poor impulse control especially when enraged & hurt). The whole tit for tat behavior. However, years later I have much better control and management of my disorder & impulse control, I'm engaged to a different wonderful man who understands my disorder and helps me with it, I would never do anything like that to him but of course he would never do it to me either. I'm not saying what I did back then was right in anyway and all it did was make the situation worse. I owned it and worked on myself.

I'm so scared to get in a relationship and I'm 26. I've had to distance myself from many male acquaintances that tried to hit on me while being with their girlfriends. It hurts to never get asked out respectfully, but then recieve attention I never asked for from taken guys. It makes me so sick how common it seems.
It is sickening when guys hit on other girls when they already have girlfriends. Those guys are not worthy of you. Try to find activities where you can find honest, trustworthy, kind, compassionate, funny guys. Bars are probably not the best places. Church, animal shelters, hiking or photography clubs, amateur theater, any activity where people mingle as they do things that are fun or helpful or charitable. Be CHOOSY! Get to know the person before jumping into bed. Value yourself.

Believe me, the husband gets blamed! But if the woman knows he is married, she gets blamed, too! I was unhappy with my elderly mother for awhile…. I’ve been divorced for many years but my mom continued sending him cards and gifts. I didn’t love it but I let it go…. we had been married for 15 years and I understand that everyone can’t just cut the ex spouse off just because the marriage didn’t work. Well, my mom is 90 now and sometimes says things…. She confessed that she always had a crush on my ex husband. I mostly let it pass with a laugh but then started remembering all the times she’d come visit and stay with us for a week and how she would get so involved in conversation with my ex while I’m running after the kids. My sister thought it was hilarious and brought up my mom’s crush. My mom said “I didnt have a crush on him, he had a crush on me! He was always looking at my butt!”
I’m going to tell you that there is no way that I believe that. She is delusional and the fact that she would say that in front of me really really bothered me. But I realized she’s a sad old woman who unfortunately always chose terrible men so I guess she enjoyed the fantasy.
That’s so sick for a Parent to do that.
