Love your channel dude, worked in a shop for four years and saw some production model horrors of my own while I learned how to work on guitars. Lol Keep fighting the good fight.
yeah that one's gonna give the owner some trouble. Those holes need to be doweled and redrilled. If they don't line up just right that thing will always be unstable. I have a higher end jackson in the shop right now, having the same thing done. Thankfully I was able to solve the somewhat loose bushings in my V with just wood swell & lock, and super glue.
I buyed a soloist last year and the locking nut was 1mm apart from the fretboard. You could move down the trem bar and the gap increased, move up and closed. Just returned that POS and got an Ibanez.
@@jed_shred_guitars not a quality fail. Being too critical on a cheap guitar. Cheap is cheap!!!! But Jackson as a whole is a solid company. I own 12 Jackson( Japan and indo made.) No issues what so ever with them!!!!!!
@@tippss3332 I bought a dave davidson wr7. 1500 dollars. The bridge was crooked so if you tried to use the trem it got caught on the wood of the body and made the whole guitar creak. For 1500 dollars. Not saying every jackson is bad by any means, but i'm not gonna pretend they haven't been regularly fucking up lately. Because they absolutely have been putting out some trash.
@@tycarlock9690 That guitar would have gotten returned!!! I have many Jackson's from early 90's Japan models all the way up to present indo models. Never had a problem. Small flaw maybe. But all have been spot on. Sorry u got a lemon!!!!
The hole was drilled big to account for the other components having low tolerances. Possibly the bridge is chinese made and its easier to shim it where it needs it than drill each body to suit each bridge. Either way, not on at all, would have gone straight back if i had found that
@@booshting3520 I've played high end, name what ever brand you like, at shops that were set up like crap. I think just depends which person at the factory it happens to get sent to. PRS brags about being so thorough, but Ive seen a couple that got missed. Definitely setups are something a guitarist should learn.
I'll never buy another Jackson guitar as long as I Live. I'm on the third replacement and this one also has a horrible ground issue and came with a wiggling tone pot and horribly uneven friends. What an absolute joke this company is. I dont think I'll even buy a fender ever either. Worst, most Lazy, bad quality, bad craftsmanship, guitar company ive ever seen or had. An absolute joke of a company.

Ibanez all the way. Even their $200 guitars are nice.
Schecter too
I know the j series are in the lower price range, but the fucking thing should at least be built properly
Exactly
i have never understood the insistence on a tremolo unit like that on an entry level guitar, fixed bridge, no giant hole or springs, done.
Agreed. Nothing worse than a low quality trem
new exclusive feature on jackson guitars
Remember. That is a low entry level guitar.
Every more reason for it to be able to stay in tune. It’s like learning to drive on a car with loose wheels

So when you buy a new Jackson, take it home and disassemble it. Then do a proper final assembly.
When you buy a budget beginner one, sure

😊
I played a JS32 at a store and the 1st string was off the fretboard.
That's normal with Jackson headstocks with no locking nut due to string angle
@@brandonharris9160 What I mean is, you couldn't fret a note on that string. You could think of it like this:
edge of the fretboard ->| \
