The torque thrust is basically the classic car version of the RPF1. They look good on everything so you see them on everything.
You have to know where you've been to truly know where you're going. Great video!

For years i've always wanted torque thrust wheels for my dads 57 chevy belair. Whenever we get room to restore it that'll probably be the one i go with.
That’s what I have they’re pretty nice wheels but I’ve been meaning to get some new wheels
American Racing: 1970, Pete Brock, John Morton, BRE Datsun, AR Libre wheels. A wheel for the guys with Japanese imported 4-bangers and 4 lugs. Not the Torque Thrust, but still iconic.

I just bought a new set of the AR105 Torq - Thrust Anthracite wheels (16x7). They are going on a 1994 Cavalier Z24.

American made a FWD version of the Torq Thrust. It was called the Aero.
Try finding American Torque Thurst Pros 15x3 1/2, almost impossible .If you can find them they're $ 800 to $ 1000 a each wheel. What's sad you can buy a 15x4 American torque thrust II for $120

I have the Shelby version with the mag-grey middle and I will say that their powder coating is garbage. American Racing does not clear coat their powder coating and the rims oxidize. This is what I am dealing with currently. And because it’s a 2-piece rim, they powder coat before assembly, my powder coater is having difficulties. For how much they cost I’m disappointed with American Racing and wish I went with a different company.

Not in my world. Cragar SS and supertricks were way more popular than torq thrust wheels back in the 80's. I dont remember american racing wheels back then. Then again this kids like 18 doing this video.
The chrome on my American Racing rims is super thin and they have pitted really fast .How do I know?. Because I am removing it to polish them because it looks like crap..I read they are made in China . My brother purchased the same style of rims from American Muscle and they have not pitted in the same environment. They are probably also made in china ...but better.
