Great History Of CRAGAR Company. As a teenager in the 70's, These were the rims to have on your muscle car. My friend had 69 Pontiac Firebird 350, 4 Barrel Holly, 4 Speed Munic Trans. Would Burn Tires In Every Gear With Those CRAGAR Rims. Going to put CRAGAR, White Wagon Rims on my White Jeep TJ to give it that Retro Look. You did a fantastic story on founder and others will purchase company. Glad they kept the original name of company. Keep On Wheeling, Mr. T.
Cragar was the first set of wheels I had on my 82 Chevy Malibu. That first hand me down car from my mom. I picked those up at Jegs in Columbus OH. Loved that first car.
It’s where I bought mine just two years ago. Sit nice on my 72 Cutlass with rear air shocks sits up in the back with the extra wide tire and dual trumpets. Oh it’s a look
mrchevy70 It’s a love it or hate it look but I dig it ...a buddy had a 72 skylark like that , but with keystone classics. Light metallic green like pea soup and a tan vinyl roof. Clean looking but the 2 barrel 350 was a pig, it needed help. I saw this a few weeks ago, I thought everyone forgot about the reverse light thing.....for the kids , we used to ride around with the reverse lights on and that meant we want to race. Now the kids put a little stuffed animal in the back. ua-cam.com/video/0D2dJlAoAj0/v-deo.html
Thank you for posting about Crager. It’s like a history lesson for the young bucks. I’m sure a lot of these young subscribers were conceived in the car that had Crager wheels on them...
What about Koenig? Not Konig, Koenig. It was a thing as I have a set of their wheels before SSR started making their own Koenig wheels with the Desmond branding and certification on the inside of the barrels. Just trying to get more info since I haven't found a whole lot.
Had Cragers on my 1978 Camaro back in high school in the late 80s. Skinnies in the front and wide in the back. Was the first upgrade I ever did to my car.
My heart jumped for joy when I logged into UA-cam and say this video on my sub list!! I mean you kinda got to do Dayton wheels now right?! Dream car 1993 Ferrari 512TR 🤤
Had cragar SS mags on al my muscle cars when I was a kid … 67 Camarillo, 69 gto a coronet 440 .. and that looked awesome now I just got. Ram 1500 and decided to put a set of Ss on it … unfortunately you don’t sell them any longer .. but I did find one that was very close but had hard time with lug pattern… low and behold BBwheels came out with one and I’m getting ready to buy a set .. can’t wait to ride with pride like the old days again … thank you cragar for being a part of my memories then and now !!!!
in my humble opinion, nothing looks cooler on an old school muscle car (think circa 1960's & 70's) than a set of chrome plated cragars s/s wheels wrapped in a "big & little" (for example; 50's on the rear & 70's on the front) set of white letter bfgoodrich tires! ...i love all different cars of all different generations, but the muscle cars of the late 60's & early 70's will always be my favorites... even if they did handle like drunken school buses on drum brakes & bias ply tires... always enjoy ur videos guys, thanx!
Fitment Industries 2005 Silverado z71 ext-cab factory flares. The actual build i want a 4in rough country suspension lift. Keep the factor sized 17in with maybe a -9offset on 33in tires. Have the ranchhand front and rear replacement with the full grill guard and have it modified for a winch. Im already running a headache rack with 4 J.W. Speaker LED 3x5 oval lights. and 2 more on the front grill guard on the truck at this time.
I had a set on a 70 elcamino and they were bad about cracking.Had to have 3 out of 4 wheels brazed.Ended up with chrome wheels with baby moon hub caps.
Thanks I didn't know much about these wheels except for growing up and seeing my brother and his friends running these wheels , I myself have always been into the American Racing Tork Thrust mags it's a look that I think looks good 30's - 60's cars .
Excellent choice to feature Cragar wheels. I'm personally more JDM, but if I had a classic American muscle car, I'd put Cragar wheels on them. I always saw them as an American Watanabe.
Those would be our ESR ES1-T! Shoot us an email at shop@fitmentindustries.com to get hooked up with a quote, they would look sick on your Hellcat 😍 bit.ly/2K0I3fL
You Missed majority of Cragar's true history & how they dominated the from the 60's through 99 when going bankrupt after being screwed over by Super Shop's. But nice try
I have always loved the CRAGAR 30 SPOKE RIMS. I probably have bought at least 4 or 5 pairs in my life. They are the best spoke rims I’ve ever seen or heard of. I have also had a pair of Dayton wire wheels and they don’t even come close to being as solid as the Cragar 30 spoke rims. Matter of fact I’m going to buy a pair of Cragar 30 spoke rims I found on the internet the other day. They are $2,500 dollars but they are well worth the money.
My dream is a black evo 8, semi race car spec so caged but still retaining interior and running a built 4g63 at a reliable 600ish hp with a set of silver Desmond regamasters❤❤
I just looked at the wheels on my 72 Ranchero I just got and they're Crager wheels...have to be at least 40 year's old! I'm definitely going to keep and restore them. Do you have any information on how to do this? From your latest subscriber.
I have a set of old Cragar S/S wheels on my S10. They are some damn good wheels for sure. I had a huge blowout one day going about 60 mph so I was riding on rim for a good few 100 feet. Didn't even scratch these babies
Oh, and my dream car is an Acura NSX with fixed headlights. Talk about Drag wheels next, they seem to be a rep brand but would be worth doing a video on IMO.
I like Cragars SS's rims 14s on 520s white wall tires or Goodrich or Goodyear Indy 500 letter tires😁🍻and they look good on all old classic cars from GM Mopar n Fords
I have Cragar SS wheels on my car. Was contemplating swapping to Torq-Thrust D's just to see what it looks like on my 74 Charger until I watched this video. Thanks FI.👍
Growing up, my dad had a '65 f100 longbed with Cragar 320 quick tricks or similar, and that has to be my dream "car". Sadly, he lost in a divorce about 15 years ago.
Have you even seen the Steeleies that cragar makes there inexpensive and there’s so much to chose from also my dream car is a 1976 mercury comet which is my icon and is my project car
Can you guys do cruize wheels? I keep seeing ads for them, since I got a new VW Golf GTI. I’m really tempted to get s set, but they’re so cheap that I don’t trust their strength or build quality. Looks like they’re based in the UK, but that’s about all I know.
"So you are saying I have a chance!" Centerline wheels... My brother is a mechanic, that has to count for some thing. Since it swayed vote on this episode.
Great video mate! I am one of the viewers watching from Australia, the seventh 'divorced' state, Tasmania to be specific. I'd have to say my dream car would be a big mofo yank tank. A ridiculous land yacht that you guys would probably see as an every day, run of the mill car. Like a 57 Bel air or a 57 Galaxy or something along those lines. A big fat cruiser 😎
A BIG OLE YANK TANK I love it brother! Thank you again for the support crazy to hear we have fans so far away! Do you have any kind of car now with wheels or anything!? 👍
Fitment Industries well here, a yank tank is anything huge and iconically American. I really like a lot of your 70's-90's cars that we just don't see here. I do mate, not the kind you'd prefer I'd say. I've an 89 FJ62 Landcruiser with some old 17x10 eagle alloys. Had Cragers on my 1978 Camaro back in high school in the late 80s. Skinnies in the front and wide in the back. Was the first upgrade I ever did to my car.

Glad to hear you enjoy our content! Don’t forget to sub for more videos from us! 🤙
Man I'd love a 67 Chevelle, with or without Cragars on it
