Hay April, one thing I appreciate about you is you're not afraid to show mistakes. You could of easily edited out the replacement ends of the battery storage rack but you didn't. Thanks for that. --M
Very satisfying to see those blades stored that way. My OCD thanks you
April, your personality is the best part of your shop. Period. As is with any "new' shop, it looks like one has plenty of room for any and everything. A couple of years down the road and your having to suck it in to get around all the stuff. I have a two story woodshop, just added a 16x16 extension 2 years ago, now it is full. In retrospect, I wish I had not have built the upper and lower cabinets with worktop. Cabinets and drawers are where things go to die, not all. It would have been a few dollars more, I saw awesome steel cabinets for shops at Sam's Club. Steel walls are maybe 1/8 " thick, wood cabinets are 3/4". 16 cabinet dividers at .75 equals one foot of non usable floor space. Built ins are permanent. Steel cabs have casters, movable as need dictates. Why is it that any flat service always catches everything? All newbies watching AW might want to consider metal roll around tables and cabinets.
I just realized why I like your videos more then many others, it’s that you do voice over. Much easier to hear and to follow. Thanks for the awesome videos.
Good video. No nonsense, straight to the point. Thanks
Hi April, from a very seasoned carpenter/contractor with many many years of experience i say thanks. your videos are great and i love the excitement in your eyes.
omg i have been postponing because all of the idea i saw to store blade were a bit too time consuming for my taste and i need to work work work .. you are my savior and the savior of the carbide of my blades
I think your shop organisation videos are my favourite to watch. Especially because right now my "workshop" is just half of my garage, and it's so messy. I've been working on getting parts organised, but I have a long way to go. So your ideas and videos are inspiring!
Shop organization is a must....and you did a fine job!
"You should always be learning", a great motto to live by. ....13
Damn good job and super crafty! Doing this tomorrow! Thank you!
Great shop storage ideas. That’s something I’ve been working on in my shop. Slowly but surely my storage is improving which makes for an organized shop which is a lot more fun to use.
Thank you Ms. April. You are a great inspiration for all!
April, I've loved watching your videos. You approach everything with such honesty and realism. You certainly move up a notch by wearing a Pink Floyd T-shirt too! Keep up the great work!
I’ve literally watched every single one of your videos and find them so inspiring, most of them I’m watched multiple times as it’s crazy to see how much you have learnt and done. I check on a daily basis to see if you’ve uploaded another video, well done April A*
Fantastic work as per usual April, great to see.
God bless you April your family and friends.
all the best,
Dave
Thank you for the promo with Skillshare! Keep up the inspiring work.
April “The Organiser” Wilkerson. I love the blade storage idea! Thanks April.
April Wilkerson, the master of workshop organization. Very ingenious ideas!
Nice video of you and Matt with that storage shelf...and yes storage in a shop is always a must...
You are amazing and you always make great videos, keep going strong April, much respect for you
April you are an inspiration to women and men alike, nice job and I appreciate your great work ethic. Keep up the great work !!
Your paint and finishes storage center takes the Gold!🏅
I love your shop organization videos! They always give me ideas how to improve my shop. Thanks!
That just might clean my work table up a bit. Thanks April 👍😁
It's so smart to build in expansion! I think I remember hearing you say this in your earlier videos too. Definitely something to plan ahead for in the shop.
Die Idee mit den Sägeblätter ist super
das werde ich nachbauen.
Danke für den Tipp.
Great work! Thanks for taking the time to make, film, edit and share.
All great solutions, awesome job April! 👍👊 ...... I caught Triton's video earlier, looked like you and Matt a blast! 😃
I just watched this one again! I love your videos. They are so inspiring. In my next life, I want to come back as you.
Thank you for the great ideas I’m learning so much for when I clear out my garage of all the boxes that a friend has stuff stored here I can then finish up my workshop and start working on buying some more heavy duty power tools as soon as I can afford to
Great storage. Need to organize mine too. Have an awesome Sunday, Andreas from Off Grid Sweden 🇸🇪
Great video April. I wanted to share an idea for your storage container project;
For those implementing your idea,
or as your required to replace the colored containers, I’d suggest considering buying clear containers. By doing so you can see the majority from below or above. If you’ve settled with the colored, you could also number them on the top, bottom and/or sides. Then keep a notebook with a more detailed inventory where it’s convenient to update and view. Thanks again April for all you do to help soo many.
God Bless You & Yours!!!
K
Great ideas! I am always looking for better ways to organize everything better. Thanks for sharing this with us.
I love the practicality of your videos. My garage is a mess... great ideas for the disorganized like me!
Lot of creative ideas
Keep it up!
Nice video! Good ideas on storage. I'm still setting up my shop and will try and make custom shelves and holders!
Thanks for the 2 months free Skillshare link, I’ve just joined and can’t wait to dive in. Btw, Velcro makes great cable wraps to keep cables from getting tied up and tangled, I’ve got loads of tools that are wired, I use Velcro to keep the coiled cables neat when not in use. Have a great day ! X
I love your channel. I share with my carpenter husband and son. I love the French cleat system.
I'll be darned, great minds think alike, I've been using playing cards as shim stock all my life. I've used them in machine, weld and woodworking shops to space, shim and level just about everything you can think of. Their .010" to 011" thick and you can bet on that!,
Great video. I am really blown away that you are almost to 1 million followers. Congratulations you go girl.
Brilliant video as always my friend!!! God April I love your videos as you always come up with great ideas for your shops!! My step son visited my house a while back and saw the inside of my shed and now he wants me to organize HIS shop too!! And I keep telling him to watch your videos himself!!!
I just like listening to April say saw. Oh those funky Texas accents.
Another great video April
i love watching your work flow. very impressive
Organizational storage makes my O.C.D. little heart so happy. Yes it does!
Thank you for sharing your ideas very helpful thank you again
Excellent. so many great ideas.
Just another Fantastic Video! Thank You!
Yeah, loved the blade storing rack. I'm gonna build one thanks!
Nice job. Enjoyed the video.
Nicely done. Nice price. Great results!
Awesome video, I love the battery charging station. Something I could use. Lots of great ideas, keep the videos coming they are very, VERY helpful 👍👍👍😄😄
Glad you like them!
Thanks for the ideas April
I love how you pronounce SAWL!!! LOL Too cute. We used to say that up north here when I was very young. It seems like every time I watch one of your videos you do something that reminds me of when I was your age. Very cool and nice builds too.
I'd like to thank you more than just a thumbs up for this Vid. Great Ideas! Thanks again for the product links!
I love these videos April keep hem coming
Great video, thanks April! Glad to see the new shop is coming along nicely for you! (Side note - at 3:33 I thought you had a CLEAR miter saw blade, but it was just a mirror finish on it!)
You always come up good ideas.
Awsome stuff! Also good to see you using a proper set of cordless drills again :)
As someone who can barely keep his own brain organized, it's satisfying to see how organized this shop is.
Love the battery charger station, thanks!!
Great job!!
Thank you for the great ideas for storing my paints. :D
Simple, but clever idea putting labels on the bottom of the totes.
I feel silly that it never occurred to me before, but given that I’ve never used any open floor, suspended storage, I guess there’s been no reason until now. I’ll file that away for future use.
The first time you can't remember which tote has the parts in it, the bottom labels will become an obvious solution. I've labeled boxes on the side and then they get moved and guess which direction the movers stacked the boxes.
That superjaw station you were using looks awesome, i've never seen that before. Seems like a super useful tool!!
Well thought out as usual.
good stuff as always!!
I have those tacks too. Easy to install and extremely useful.
Thanks, for the video and the free 2 months of Skillshare!
Some great ideas there. Thanks
I wish I was as motivated as you to make more organization. Maybe next year.
Great projects
Fantastic use of your ceiling height with the storage racks. I often have to part with stuff I'd rather keep just due to lack of storage. Its funny how something I threw away 10 years ago can still come back and haunt me lol
Excellent!!
It never fails you've always got very interesting videos
GENIUS. Just genius.
Love your vids, thanks for sharing
Great ideas April
Loving the ceiling mount storage.
i like the battery charging system. It is a great idea that i can use for my own workshop
When I first saw those saw blades and cards I could not figure out how you were keeping the playing cards on the cleat, when I saw your video it became clear and a good idea
Your shop is coming along nicely , I would add a grounded metal flame proof cabinet for things like paint thinners , acetone , gas for the chainsaw and such . They are expensive but well worth it for the peace of mind with so much wood around .
Wow just what I was looking for. (blade storage)
Belle video merci salut Jeannot 😉🛠
Nice video thanks!
good stuff!!!
The shop doesnt seem quite so big anymore once you get settled in and working, does it? LOL!
Nice work! Love your shop and projects!Keep it up.
Great idea, Thanks 🤟🏻💪🏻
Nice vid April
Thanks for sharing maybe you do something for some that has small shops shed etc. and like always it’s a pleasure watching your videos take care and god bless
Mis April your love for all videos
great storage ideas , esp the battery storage. Haven't seen one of those Dark side of the Moon T-shirts for ages either.
Love it!
Hey you have that cauliflower aluminum insert! I have that too. It’s a pretty convenient solution which allows you to change up depending on you application without having to build multiple inserts. My only complaint is that the mdf inserts are kinda flimsy, insufficient and don’t last that long in my case but all I need to do is just create a few out of hardwood... always enjoy your videos April!
Although, now that I looked at the link, yours is apparently made by sawstop. Looks almost exactly the same as what I have but mine is an aftermarket brand.
Always a must have on hand...duct tape, zip ties & velcro
Nice job, hello from France
And naturally your spacer has to be the “Queen of Hearts”. Lol. Love all your videos. You sure have your work cut out for you. Can’t wait til the next build.
; ) Yep, I kept the four queens.
Posts 3 hours ago...already has 18K views... that's just awesome. Great channel, great videos. I hope to implement the saw blade storage soon....as well as the mobile work bench and the log loading trailer.....and the.....😄
Great video
