Regular woodworking person- makes a clamp rack attached to a wall.
April- I can make it better, bigger AND mobile. And with attachments. That are removable.
You are definitely the queen when it comes to coming up with projects and utilizing every square inch of space so it doesn't get wasted! I love watching your videos as they are very inspiring!
: D hahaha your comment made me laugh. Thank you, it's something I enjoy doing.
We all can tell that you love doing what you do and that means you'll never work a day in your life! Alot of people aren't that lucky. I'm glad that you do all these videos, because you give me some great ideas and one day I'll have a garage workshop so I can do what I love. 🙂 Looking forward to seeing your next video.
I love the fact that you are so organized and I also love your enthusiasm. Job well done April!
I'm building one of those plywood dollies for myself. A sheet of 3/4" is about all I can handle anymore.
Imagine how many clamps you'll have when your 65 years old ! Plan to build another clamp rack some day. You've got a heck of a start on a quality collection of clamps and you can figure having at least the same amount when you get your metal fab shop going. This video was crammed full of great ideas and now I,m stomping on the like button , only because I don't have access to a love button.👍
This is the Swiss Army Knife of clamp racks! It has everything you need (minus the cork screw😊)! Great work!!
: ) Thank you! Glad you like it.
Well April is the cork screw! You saw her spinning on that thing? Ha ha ha🙃🤣. Your awesome April! I want to make one!
Shhh don't give her ideas hahaha
Bottle opener wouldn’t take much room
What a wonderful clamp rack. It really shows off your organizational, creative, and wood working skills!
April this was one of the best clamp racks I have seen! I have been looking at all of the different clamp racks on the net out there. And in my opinion this one is at the top. I will be building a smaller version of this. Thank you for all you do for our craft.
Love the rack! - For the Paper rolls, you can slot the dog ears from the top to the holes. Because you will always apply downward pressure when rolling out paper, the rod will never come out. To replace a roll, you then simply have to lift the rod up, replace the roll and away you go. Great job April.
If you want, check out another great shop helper I found and use to move sheet goods onto the table saw. It is named the "Leg Up" and clamps to the left side of the front edge of the table saw and allows a person all by themself to easily slide a full sheet of 4X8 material onto the saw for cutting. It would work seamlessly with the hercules dolly you use to move sheet goods around the shop.
I am not a small man and have hefted full sheets of material around my entire career but now, being in my late 60's I do love to have something that makes it a easier task and saves me wear and tear. You can find video's on UA-cam about the Leg Up and might find it worth checking out. Keep up the great content and I look forward to meeting you again.
It's awesome how you fit so many features into your clamp rack April! You're a natural at brainstorming!!!
Excellent! Beginner woodworker here - your knack and imagination is inspirational. Thank you!
Great testing methodology April. Load yourself in the rack and and let a friend spin ya around. I love it. Keep up the great work... I'm learning a lot from your series and very much appreciate how your share your knowledge and your learnings.
Watching your videos is like reading a great storybook. Each chapter is better than one before and can’t wait to read the next one. In your videos, you show a real passion for your work. Keep up the good work. :)
Love this build. Way to think big picture and add accessories. I have all my clamps hanging on a wall, but as we all know, wall space is too valuable to waste on things that can go elsewhere. Plus, making multiple trips to and from your clamps is inefficient. I’m super inspired to make something very similar to this. Thanks for all the great ideas, April!
You're easily the best product placement woodworker on UA-cam. The sacrificial plate is the coolest thing!
Just started watching your videos and love them. I have a furniture upholstery shop that has been in the family 100 yrs and have been looking to upgrade the shop area. This is definetly going to be something im putting into the shop. Thank you so much for the ideas..
And now I am back to where I started the first video from AW that I saw was this one. I have moved from a we moved in 5 years ago to a cleaner do to a new shop vac an in process out feed table reusing some shipping crates I have for drawer stacks. And it just grows from there, thanks to AW and several other makers I am now subscribed to. Thank you.
Glad to see you April at what you do best! Amazing job with a lot of smart/practical ideas.
The combo of your new bench and this clamp rack is pretty awesome. Together they will help you get stuff DONE.
April that unit can used for many things, glad to see you back you have a absolutely awesome shop.
Such an ultra-functional project, I love it! You're a delightful breath of fresh air & you make the world a brighter place!
: ) Aw well thanks
I can see this rack coming in real handy for alot of things I really like the idea for gluing up and using it to hang the clamps and being able to move it around the shop or even build extra to use as well. Thanks for the idea I will be building something like this for mine. Keep up the great videos
Rout a small grove down the end grain of your plywood to keep the knife line straight when cutting the paper. Also throw on a magnet and keep a dedicated knife on the rack. Great build, April.
A simply beautiful build with loads of good ideas. Thanks.
Awesome set up. The french cleat glue up clamp holder is brilliant.
Awesome project April, the add-on's take it over the top. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful execution of a great idea. At first I thought it was a commercially made unit. I mean that in the very best possible way. Great work.
Wow! This is a fantastic woodworking video 👍 What a creative and useful rolling clamp storage rack you've designed here!! I worked in a University Woodshop for years and I wish we'd had this video to show students to spark their imaginations for what's possible. Kudos and keep up the great work.
Great add-ons - that is one ALL-PURPOSE clamp/glue rack.
I started watching your videos a few months ago, have been inspired with each one. Your woodworking skills-and video editing-are impressive; the challenge now is to accumulate enough clamps to warrant building one of these racks. :) Job well done-keep up the excellent work.
Great problem to have April! 😎 Thanks for the build!
I’d never have thought you can do so soooo much with sheets of ply! Thanks so much for the inspiration! I hope Australian suppliers are as good
Great to see that even with a large shop you're still paying attention to efficient use of space. Great Job!
What a Great Build! "Woman Handling"...I LOVE IT! Keep up the Outstanding builds !
I never tire of your creativity or your enthusiasm. Keep ‘em coming!
This looks like a seriously useful Swiss Army clamp rack! And that is such a great idea to include that setup to hang glue-ups! Big thumbs up all around!
As a chemist, I appreciate the reference to an Erlenmeyer flask. Great project!
I just built one for my small woodworking shop (which is really small). I can tell that this organize my entire space and now it more enjoyable to be there . thanks for this project.
That is awesome! I'm glad you found it useful. Thanks for watching.
That glue up rack is an awesome innovation. Thanks for sharing!
Just purchased the Hercules Dolly, thank you for the recommendation! My back will appreciate it!
That glue-up rack idea is nothing short of pure genius!
: ) Thank you
dang April! That's an awesome project, great job and great ideas in modifying the build
You never cease to amaze me with your creativity!
Great project.
your laugh when you're happy with how something turns out... it's basically the most precious thing on youtube.
That’s a great hack on the Rockler clamps. I’ve seen other videos where long pieces of lumber were inserted into similar aluminum clamps to help stiffen them up. You could do something similar just at the newly cut end to prevent your notch from opening up over time and weight.
Everything about this is genius and awesome! Great step by step. You guys were having too much fun! 😁 Thank you for sharing!!!!
That is the most amazing clamp rack I’ve ever seen. And I’ve been watching woodworking videos for 14 years now. Very creative April.
: ) Thank you. That makes me feel great.
Thanks a lot, April! This is super cool. At first, I thought -- OK Cool -- a mobile clamp rack makes sense. But then you kept adding additional features. Great video --thanks for all the great content!
Красивая работа! Thank you!
Great job! Nothing like organization to simplify work.
Lots of really great ideas here. But now have serious clamp envy... Thanks for sharing!
Last year, I attached a similar glue rack (nowhere as nice) with pipe clamps to my wood rack. I had a hinged 2x4 pop out about a foot below the hinge to push the lower section outward. The glue drips away, but it was more to prevent me from having to bend over due to a bad back. My suspended pipe clamps are all 5 feet long. I also use it for sawing large sheets of plywood. I couldn't afford anything as fancy as yours, so I have a hodgepodge of mismatched clamps. I love your system and dream of having a shop your size to play in. Nice build April!
April, you always have such great ideas. The clamp rack is probably one of my favorites. Thanks so much.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy my channel. Thanks for watching.
I am impressed young lady! My first time to your site, your shop is well laid out...... You displayed this “Activity Interest” is not just about Male Egos!!!!!!!
Thank You
That mobile clamp rack is brilliant, but then again everything you construct is awesome. You have an amazing talent and eye for building things but most of all your an inspiration to all who will follow in your footsteps one day.
Thank you. : ) I hope I'm an inspiration to males and females though. To anybody who wants to learn how to use tools and build things they need.
Guys Too!
@@anchor4346 thanks for the heads up. I have edited my original comment for all.
That is fantastic! Great ideas all around. I like that you said maybe adding a handle. That would make moving it around easier for sure.
So smart to have the rack on wheels! Also... that dolly is life changing. Have to grab one of them soon. Awesome job, as always, girlfriend! 🙌🏼
I've had castored racks for most of my wood working career. My racks were screwed straight to the wall. But I like the portable clamp rack. I like yours better than the Infinity Clamp Rack. I have a gluing rack the holds the clamps in the rack while I drop the project boards into place and glue them up and clamp. I have to rebuild this item after 25 years of use. New shop soon. Like your work.
This is one of your mist versatile builds to date.
Great job.
There is such a noticeable echo when you talk in the shop.
I guess you'll have to voice over most of your videos.
Love the space.
I'm jealous 😊
That's a lot of utility and versatility on one piece. Having clamps on a mobile cart makes a huge amount of sense; not having to retrieve them from a fixed cabinet constantly, ready at hand, instead.
That is really cool. You are so creative. Thanks for sharing with all of us your talents and great ideas.
Wow the clamptron 5000 is awesome and that little Hercules dolly is brilliant!! It's really amazing, looking back at your first videos, how far you've come in such a short time. Cheers!!
Using a pump for refilling empty glue bottle - amazing idea! That's so simple and so good that just blow my mind!
Wow, that is a really big clamps collection, thanks for the video April!
Holy smokes, so many cool ideas in one project. Once again you have inspired me and I am sure so many other woodworkers.
Incredible video April! I love everything about this project! And thank you so much for the mention; that is way too kind of you.
Very nice. It gives me some ideas for my shop storage. Thank you for sharing.
Bloody amazing great work April so smart and you can move it closer or further away.
Nice job, April! Looks like you have all bases covered with your clamp storage!
Before you even started talking, my reaction was 'Holy suit' or something very similar.
Thanks for sharing. Really like the roll of brown paper at the top.
I also think this is a great and simple shape for a scrap rack. I think I have more of a need for that than a clamp rack right now.....
love the clamp rack awesome design one job we build a sling rack for the slings we kept rollering
I have not commented in a while, but watch all of your videos. Your projects are fantastic, useful and well made, you take the time to explain everything you're doing. Keep up the great work.
I was impressed how easily you moved the sheets of wood. Then you picked up the panel AND the dolly! How about a motovlog on the little Honda in the shop?
This is fantastic! Don't quite have the space for a full size version but a few modifications and it will be a mini-me size. Love the paper dispenser at the top. Might try adding a small groove in the plywood to have a spot for the utility knife to register in for straight cuts. Great job!
great video you do awesome work and ideas. for your craft paper and wax paper roll make it quick and easy to refill is just notch the supports so the bar just drops in and lifts out. you will always be pulling down on them so the rolls wont fall out. Save the wood from being torn up over time being unscrewed and screwed back in. Love the new shop too.
You’re very inspiring, quite the designer. Thanks again.
Love the build! You may consider putting a lip on the front of the shelf so that gallon of glue does not fall off while you are rolling it around or refilling a small bottle. Just an idea! God bless and have a great week!
We shall see, so far it isn't an issue and I'd rather be able to change out the bottle by sliding it forward than lifting it up and over.
Nice job! That's a beautiful and functional rack 😊! I'm doing research to make one, but have no idea exactly what I want to build. Thanks for the inspiration!
Love the videos. Lots of good info every time. My shop is small but will try a shot at smaller rack this winter for inside builds.
That's perfect. You could also take some of the ideas and place them on a wall instead, it doesn't have to be on a mobile unit. : )
Your clamp rack puts many hardware stores to shame. Both in the quality of the display and selection. I must say I'm extremely jealous.
The new shop is really coming along, April! I have SERIOUS shop envy...
Really cool idea for the glue up rack, nice job
Great organization video! I love the sleek, clean look of it all! Great job!
Thanks!
I love this build
Great Job! In a shop that big a mobile clamp rack is a necessity. Loved all the extras!
Agreed! Thank you. : )
Absolutely love watching your videos you are incredibly gifted
Great job April and your shop looks great
Nice addition to the shop! Well done and very innovative!
April, this is really brilliant. Necessary is the mother of invention
Really great build good job and thanks for the video
You’re SO clever. A great designer and maker!!
Thank you!
Thanks. I'm going to incorporate some of these ideas to hang my bessey clamps on the back of my mobile work bench.
Just WOW ! Sure, your clamp stash needed a rack of major proportions and this rack is tops. But the bones of the rack are a fantastic platform for many other uses as well. Fantastic job.
That is something I would definitely will copy If I had a shop, nice job April and thank you for sharing!👍🤙👌🛠️, this is another good example how the internet disrupted, democratize and is making almost every industry get better, much better, trough the sharing of knowledge, I'm so happy to be alive on this marvelous times!
April, as always a perfect job! Greetings from Bulgaria!!!
Very nice job. Made one similar for moving computers and monitors years ago when they were large and heavy. You do exceptional work. If you are going to throw knives maybe add a first aid kit.
Very clever! Kudos, April.
Amazing build!
Great project and video. Thanks for sharing.
Nice job, just getting ready to build on for our shop, great ideas
Loved the design, great consolidated piece!! ☺️
