The relentless face-to-face pressure against Týr makes the moment at 2:28 where you just let one of the ads walk run past you & then obliterate the whole arena a perfect example of how little they concern you. The true God of War title remains comfortably right where it belongs.
I’m still blown away something this good and having this much replayable fun is just given away. Usually, free means an outfit, goofy hat, or even a voice over language for like German at best, not something with this much detail and love put into it, and into a game that sold extremely well. Something like this would $15 min if it was in another Sony game like Horizon or Spider-man.

Ghost of Tsushima got a free Multiplayer mode with story and stuff. I think game modes are usually free. But expansions (Horizon burning shores, City that never sleeps etc) are paid for.

Tyr's entire character archetype is unlike any other deity on GOW series. It's never been about him; Tyr is a true god of war - one that has mastered himself. That sense of inner serenity would fucking TERRIFY Odin - it's no wonder he tried to bury Tyr in the deepest pit he could find. I think it's fitting that Kratos meets his temperamental foil in Tyr.

If you aim to kill the boss without taking any damage, why not simply quitting the game in case you got hit and reload your game save which is just before the boss (Tablet of Endeavour) ?

When Tyr got his katana, I immediatly thought: Sekiro time. Even more so when Tyr got that large weapon and started swinging it like the corrupted monk from Sekiro.

The final story fight with Tyr had me use a res stone. Glad to watch Ongbal easily beat him. Though I did wonder why you didn't parry those wave attacks as it can also damage Tyr (dunno if it's cuz of the glyph I had or it's like parrying projectiles back).
The cool thing is that these guys are both on such a huge level of power, skill, and weaponry that they can go all-out against each other and still not have to worry about killing the other, because they're that on par with one another That's the best kind of sparring you can have
When I heard that Santa Monica got nobody even beat the final boss at the highest difficulty, I know I will see a perfect fight from ONGBAL real soon. 😏😎
This is really impressive, but once you max out stats and get a certain perk glyph with the skofnung relic, you win any fight because you can infinitely use the relic (green swords that go crazy)
Played the Valhalla DLC and now I'm curious about Tyr and his journeys through different lands. If there were a game about God of War of the Norse, it would be great.
Have you done this fight with the penalty for breaching on with this difficulty. In the Forum the King has red bar health which I think is above the purple level. I wonder if that's the challenge even devs cant beat. Mastery level with penalty on, when you get to Greece and activate the chosen fights just wait till level 5 before fighting anyone then take out everything then a really powered up Tyr.
I have a question for you. How long did it take for you to master the Tyr Bossfight and Valhalla as a whole because it’s basically a part of the Boss-fight, and how difficult is it compared to the other DLC’s that you have played.
It's truly wholesome to see Týr helping Kratos to better understand his role as a God of War. That and it's even more wholesome to see the REAL Týr and not what the AllFucker portrayed him as!

Ongbal is amazing as always and GoW is a great game but enemies and bosses being huge damage sponges (look how slow the hp bar is moving) is something i really dislike. Even if its only like this in higher difficulty.
Yeah that bothers me too, espacelly for the normal Mobs during the Game. You´re the God of War with 5 God killing Weapons on your Belt and you need a full Minute to kill a Draugr while he twoshots you
In fact, it all depends on your build or how you play. If you see an experienced player like Game Breaker God playing GoW, you will see that he melts enemies' HP quickly even on the highest difficulty. You just don't have the proper idea of how to deal a lot of damage
It depends on your build if that building isn’t working then find another there is plenty of variety builds on the Internet. You can search up builds that do the most damage in the game I hope my advice helped.
Rogue likes are addicting once you see that you are getting better and better at the game. Until you finally beat it that is what makes it a experience memorable.
The balancing in this game is pretty on point and you can play like you want. You can either run through one shoting everything or you can have actually enemies with good fights. I for myself hate how every normal enemy in every from soft game can take like 1-2 hits and they dead. The only really fun part are bigger enemies or bosses. Otherwise you just bonk everything in one Interaction. Yay great gameplay... Enemies should be tanky on the hardest difficulty and not be total fodder.
The two things I dislike about Tyr is how all of his weapons are just the same glowy yellow, and how there isn't a version of the fight where he swaps through all of them regularly. I mean, Kratos's three weapons are all aesthetically distinct from one another, and while the frequency of weapons used is up to the player, the player can nevertheless swap between Kratos's weapons freely.
He does change all his weapons regularly in his final phase he pulls out four different weapons, and starts throwing out shadow clones. Did you not reach the final phase of his Bossfight?

If the latter, then that's not what I'm talking about since I'm referring to throughout the entire fight, and without a primary variation. Preferably to the point where he doesn't just swap weapons regularly, but as a boss his AI has full access to his entire repertoire, and he simply changes out his weapons whenever the AI selects to use the move that requires them.

@vadandrumis1670 I think I know what is happening I think that when you fight Tyr for the fourth time he uses all of his weapons. After that he only uses two weapons that are put in the second phase of those specific weapons Bossfight. So instead of using all of them so he might alternate between that giant club and spear, then go to the Egyptian dual swords and katana. I’m not sure because I just barely beat his fourth Bossfight today, so it will probably take a few days for me to confirm that theory. But that is what I think because it during this video you can obviously see that, he already beat the fourth version already. Maybe if you beat him four times again he will go back to using all weapons I don’t know. I haven’t reached that far yet.

“Easily”? You realize this takes lots of tries and practice? Nobody does this easily. You are being shown the successful attempt.
Ongbal doesn’t do this on the first try lol. Even the melania fights you can see the golden branches where he died.
