It's incredible that after those guys ruined his opportunity to be a big star in a major company and make millions of dollars, he still has positive things to say about any of the Kliq - especially that he's so compassionate about Kevin Nash losing a kid. Sure, he's a dad as well, but those guys took money away from him that could have gone towards his kids' education. Classy, but I don't know if I'd go that far. Shane had one of the best heel characters in wrestling, especially in the mid 90s, and he could have gone a long way, but not only did those guys banish him from a place where he could have made really good money, one of them blatantly plagiarized his gimmick and married the boss's daughter, making him the heir to a billion dollar fortune. I'd be more than a little upset about that. Paul Levesque staked half his career on burying Troy Martin. And as a fan, I would have much rather seen a heel Franchise in WWF in the late 90s than a heel "Game" or whatever he's calling himself this week. There's heel heat and there's go away heat, and HHH had go away heat with me. Apparently, nice guys do finish last. If you cheat and politick your way to the top, you can be a big star. If you play by the rules and work hard, you get banished to the number 3 promotion in the country at the time.

They didn’t ruin his career. Shane always leaves out the part how Yoko Zuna, Jim Cornett, the undertaker, Vince McMahon, all of these people also gotten Shane‘s face in the back and told him he wasn’t cutting it. But if you start saying, undertaker and yokozuna, had talks with him now, Shane doesn’t really look like a victim. Look, I’m not saying those guys were perfect, but why would they care? This idea that Shane would’ve been Stone Cold Steve Austin or something if it wasn’t for them is stupid. Shane was a good worker I don’t have anything against the guy, but I think people want to hate those five men so bad that they just believe anything that anyone says about them

Little late for that. It’s easy to do something wrong and then apologize for it later. The big get out of jail free card in America is “finding God.” Assuming it’s Christianity. In America, that’s the only religion you’re allowed to find. You can do all kinds of bad things to enrich yourself as long as, when you’re filthy rich from your behaviour, you apologize for it. It’s pretty hard to take an apology from someone who made a lot of money helping to make sure you didn’t and then asks for forgiveness from his big house. It’s sleazy, because if you don’t accept the apology, in some messed up society, you look like the bad person - even though the other guy or guys wronged you. You’re obligated to accept it. Shane is still in wrestling because he probably doesn’t have the money to fully retire - unlike some people.

I think what's more comical about all this is the comment section here which is clearly grown ass men over 40/50 still arguing about things that happened 30 years ago not even in their life but someone else. No wonder why so many women are confused these days and so are boys you got men like this in the world not letting go of things that didn't even happen to them from 30 years ago. Weird. And sadly they defend and fight about it. I just enjoy listening to Shane talk. He's always got a good mind for things whether you enjoyed his career or not. I actually didn't see much of his career but as time goes on his interviews are always solid even if he stretches some of it but he words it well and never really puts anyone down.
Defending HBK is weird. Most of you all wouldn't spend a moment with a homeless Vet or a druggie but yet HBK was nothing more than a popular drug addict and drunk and yet is loved. That's the different between fame and no fame. If your neighbor acted like HBK did in the 90's you'd ignore him and if you have a daughter you'd want her no where around him but since he made your childhood happy you defend him. Typical stupidity. It's like praising rock stars who are mostly junkies for making music and yet offer nothing to your life.

Big fan of 90s HBK here and I would be the last person to defend his past behavior. He had it all--incredible wrestling ability, looks, charisma, mic skills, the whole package--but his behavior out of the ring was atrocious. It's great that he stopped using and drinking, but for me, after he got religious, he wasn't believable any more. I don't know if he's sincere in his beliefs or it's just an act, but I know that it's extremely hard to fundamentally change who you are as a person.
I know because I've been around addicts/alcoholics since childhood. They generally don't get or stay sober unless they truly want it and are willing to get help and work at it. Most addicts use/drink to deal with emotional trauma and a lot of times, metal health issues and substance abuse go hand-in-hand. I have sympathy for people dealing with these issues but I don't excuse their behavior due to their issues. It's a factor, not an excuse. I myself have been dealing with mental health issues since adolescence and I've done therapy in order to change my behaviors and reactions to situations. It's not easy to change but it can be done...that said, again, I don't think that awful behavior exacerbated by substance abuse in anyone, famous or not, should be defended.

So the list of people "Buried" by the Kliq is:
Shane Douglas - who had a great career outside of WWE yet had no issues with the kliq
Bam Bam Bigelow - who according to Scott and Kevin their only issue with him was that he almost got them killed
Chris Candido - Shawn Michaels was sleeping with Sunny
Dustin Rhodes - who Scott didn't want to work with because of the overly sexualized tones of the goldust character.
Bob Holly - had his issues with the Kliq but has since made amends with HBK
Vader - was careless in the ring and wasn't really ever the same after Paul Orndorff beat Vader with his shower shoes
Men on a Mission - Mabel was wreckless who had already injured multiple people before he got buried
Davey Boy Smith - was never buried by the kliq but by his own actions
Jim Neidhart - Same as Davey Boy
Tatanka - claims that the burial by the kliq started around Wrestlemania 9 a full year before the Kliq formed
Owen Hart - wasn't directly buried by the kliq but more by his own refusal to stand up for the direction of his career
Bret Hart - refused to his job and drop the title to shawn burying himself. Especially considering he was the son of a promoter
Adam Bomb - similar to Tatanka except he had issues with razor and 1-2-3 kid
PCO - was buried for wanting to do the right thing
Long story short the Kliq only had issues with guys who couldn't work in the ring. That has been stated in numerous shoots by kliq members including one where Kevin Nash recalled Scott saying Bam Bam "(He) can go in the ring but he just can't ride with us."
