    The apple employee who had the idea of turning on the mac every time we touch the keyboard or trackpad should be banned from this world.

    Turn off all the lights in the room and turn the display brightness all the way down get yourself an LED flashlight and hold the flashlight with your mouth or set it on something so it points at the display now start wiping the screen in circular motions and don’t slow down or stop “mid wipe” when wiping and change directions you’ll leave a grease smudge print also before you start wiping blow off any Debris from the screen because you’ll make micro scratches from little tiny rocks and you’ll never be able to remove them and they’ll become an eyesore this is more for people like me with ocd and want a Pristine clean smudge free display

    02:09 Do not wet the cloth. Any amount of water may damage the laptop.

      He said that the cloth should be damp, not wet, it should be dry enough to not drop any water droplets when you squeeze it

    Not bad! I would not suggest wiping that track pad with alcohol, nor the screen. Just a very slight damp micro fiber cloth to wipe down the keys and the screen…done!

    is rubbing alcohol not gonna damage the space grey coating? just don't want the laptop colour to start fading. Mines already bad from palm rest

      Alcohol dissolves all the oils and returns it to new. The laptop is anodized space grey and it will not rub off, its part of the metal.

    what if rubbing alcohol gets under keyboard and cause damage to insides?

    • @one_step_sideways
      @one_step_sideways 2 роки тому +1

      Well it's not as bad because it's going to dry rather fast and it won't really conduct electricity. It's regular water you should be afraid of, a droplet can kill your laptop, especially if it's a macbook. And remember to not use regular 70% alcohol, you need to mix it with some water in order to get a 50% isopropyl alcohol solution

      @@one_step_sidewayswhat about buying isoprophil alcohol instead buying mixed alcohol?

    • @one_step_sideways
      @one_step_sideways 8 місяців тому

      @@talkitrightenglish 99.9% IPA may be too potent for the laptop keyboard's paint and printed letters. Best to use 50% IPA or 70% IPA for added security. Past 70% there's no improvement for IPA's disinfecting potential, so any concentration above 70%, like 99.9% IPA, is a waste of IPA for nothing.

    I tried to clean the pad area of the laptop using ispropyl alcohol. Rubbed very gently and didn't apply pressure. My laptop is merely 2 months old and its space gray colour. Now after just few minutes, I am finding the coating looks pale 😭😭feeling awfully sad as I purchased it very recently. if anyone knows some solution pls do help

      They are suppose to be pale or "Matte" when they are clean. Oils from your hands actually makes them shinny.

      use dampened microfiber with alcohol, alcohol not water. if u use water, until 3000 year you cant remove that oil (yu know oil cant dissolve in water)

    • @one_step_sideways
      @one_step_sideways 2 роки тому

      Yes, but if it's already 50% alcohol instead of 70%, you don't need to get your cloth damp. 70% is too much so you generally have to mix the alcohol with some water to have a 50% alcohol solution

      Actually you need to mix the alcohol with some water to get a 50% alcohol solution. 70% alcohol already contains 30% water, so add a bit more water and mix it or stir it up to get 50% alcohol
