Great video! I bought an 08 Tc a few months ago and one of my rear struts is starting to leak and after watching your vid i think I can do it myself instead of taking it to the shop like I initially was going to do.
Thought you did a great job with this video. Succicnt, to the point, clear, kept it simple. Great job. Thought the voiceover worked pretty well too. I'll be using this as a guide for my strut replacement.
I bought fully assembled rear Monroe strut & shocks, but I noticed the top only had two permanent screws installed instead of three, is this normal? The pair both came with two screws, so I thinking this is how the manufacture this brand?
Hi, I just installed them. Took it for a dive without adjusting anything, or putting the trim pieces back in and it’s rattling and squeaking. How can I fix it?
Make sure everything is tightened up correctly boss and that there isn’t anything left loose , make sure you tighten those bolts up on the top all the way
My rear new strut won’t align with the 19mm bolt , what the cause ? I ordered the whole kit I already setup the front ones n everything went fine but I’m just having trouble with the rear
It was a customer requested parts change , they wanted it replaced due to a noise concern , it did repair the noise concern but it wasn’t my diagnostic

you'll save $300 in labour, that's what my mechanic charged for the front two to be done. will be doing my rears very soon myself.

Is that a KYB rear strut that you installed? If not what brand did you go with, and is it holding up?
Which way do you turn when taking the lower left bolt out for the left side of the strut
Hey I appreciate the video helpful with my 05 sc thank you
On the other nuts you tighten do they need to be tighten to a specific torque? Or just let the electric tool do it?
in your opinion, would this procedure be similar to replacing a rear strut on a scion ia?
Nice video thank you
Thanks!
Tnank you, thank you.
What torque spec is that impact wrench that you're using?

it should be 3 not 2 , they might’ve gave you the wrong rear shocks

Thank you.
Looks like non of the alignment settings are tampered with with this job so is an alignment necessary?
it’ll probably need an alignment if you replace the front aswell

Try lining up the 19mm first before putting any of the top mount nuts on
I’m having the same problem but the struts not rotating I need help

Do you still read comments? What symptoms was your worn shock showing?
