I like how Mook treats every individual part for her truck like a person, but like a person who cut her off in traffic or took the last box of cereal she wanted.
Mook I swear that truck use to belong to Mike James back in the 90’s! He got shot in Des Moines back then. I rode in that truck a few times. Such a small world
I bought my wife a 5HP push mower for Christmas one year and lived to tell the tale ( it was what she wanted not enough horses in the 3.5 HP ) and yes she was happy and uses it .

You looked so happy when it started, that was nice to see. Also, the E on the fuel guage means E for exercise. Because you are either walking or pushing. lol
Kevin is such a lucky guy to have you in his life mook your a cool chick that loves getting down and dirty with old trucks / cars good job on your truck
Yes, I think a lot of the single guys watching this would like someone like her. Cheerful bubbly tomboy farm-girl chicks make da best kinda gal-pals!!! :D :D :D
I got a new kitten about the same time on an earlier video that I first heard you calling this truck "Booger"... Cat is now known, and answers to, "Booger!" Thanks for the inspiration!
I like how the truck gets fixed few thing at a time. Hopefully some day the bodywork will get fixed. I can imagine it painted black with red stripes and nice chromed bumpers and other details.
It is 7/31/2023 and I just started watching you last night, you are a treasure and a joy to watch. I will be following you till the end whenever that is maybe never!
This truck series really takes me back to my childhood spending time with my grandpa watching him work on his truck that was identical to that out of his wheelchair, an always amazed me with the things that he would accomplish that a lot of able bodied men couldn’t or wouldn’t do! His was identical would love to find one like it one day and fix it up with my son and teach him like grandpa and my dad have over the years I love what you and Kevin have done with your channels I’ve lost a lot of sleep not being able to turn off the computer by I have to see the next video. Thank you guys for your dedication to teach and pass on the knowledge and skills of the trade !!
Yes, I always love seeing a nice guy (or gal) do affectionate stuff like that for their significant other, especially if the other person is doing something difficult or tedious, since it shows that not only does the kisser love the kissee, but he/she is expressing appreciation for the other person's doing a yucky job. :D
Up to 20 years: Temporary, we will be replacing it any day now. 20 to 50 years: Its a patch, we are getting ready to order parts. 50 plus years: That's pretty much factory. Let's not get carried away trying to toss out what works.
Hi Mook! I like to use a center punch & hammer to make a hole in the gas tank for draining. Gas won't run until you remove the punch and you won't get gas spilling all over your electric drill. I hold the punch with a vise grip to save my fingers. Also send those sparks away from the gas tank so you can continue to make cool videos in the future.
Nice job. My dad had a green F-150 club cab that he bought new in 1979. That was his last new vehicle. Yours brought back memories. Thanks and good luck with your truck. Peace
Put a small cam, timing set and headers on that engine! I would bet the timing chain is looser than a goose. Those three things combined with the 4V and some ignition timing and they run very well.
Mook mentioned she was/ is looking for a new bed for her truck . I used to have a 79 ford same body style and I too was looking for body parts as the bed on mine was very rusty. I had found a place in Cedar Rapids I am 100% sure it was a salvage yard there. BUT I cannot find it now. They had all kinds of used ford parts cabs boxes the doghouse or front clip. Hope this info helps vague as it is.
Mook, you have done an excellent job on the Booger truck. She purrs. It is always a fun time watching you work on any of your vehicles. Please, keep up the great word.
Use 3/4 airline for the door striker to take up the slack. Cut it down and then slide it over the door striker. No more rattle. I've done that on my truck and it works. Love the Ford. Keep up the great work and I love watching quality videos from junkyard Mook and junkyard Digs.
I’m really impressed how easy that tank came outta the bottom. My ‘77 wouldn’t give it up outta the bottom so I had to pull the bed and do a 45 from the top.
Mook there are a few of those truck beds for your year model truck in Texas around Cross Planes, as well as in Brownwood, Texas. And to be honest, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona is the best place to get body parts for your truck that are OEM. As they usually do not see harsh winters that cause the rust your truck has.
I love it!! Just an FYI for that 3/8" rubber fuel line--working in telecom I sometimes use rubber padded cable clamps. These are intended for coax cable, which is about the same outside diameter as 3/8" fuel line. When I saw Mook pointing out the frame holes, that was the first thing I thought of. They just use a single hole for mounting. Anyhow, GLAD TO SEE MOOK BACK!!
Temporary fuel line?? That's what we call " a very expensive fuel hose" lol My old 74 chevy has just some silicon hoses, they are hard by now haha, I'll replace them once it starts leaking.
Mook you will love your experience with the old Ford I was raised on those trucks 70s and 60s Forge not quite sure I like the name booger but all the overall needs it’s a little TLC with you are giving to her your fan digs fan Keep up what you do and remember the 40s unique can’t everyone build one and make it really run they cost more and you get to really know what you’re doing however still want to see something on your car mook
I had a 78 when i was 13 that i bought from the neighboring farm. I loved that thing. Never had it on the road other than just crossing from one side of the property to the next but it was awesome. I miss that truck. Beat the hell outta the polaris ranger i use in its place today. Done up pretty there some of the best looking trucks ever made
It's ok as a temporary line, you plan on restoring it, I've done two 1977 f-150s. Years ago, tho. You can get any parts you need body parts, interior, anything you need, but it depends on your budget. I did a lot of salvage yard shopping back then, of course now that's pretty much out of the question. You find them like you've found the one you're working on. Good luck, hope you get all of those trucks in working order.
I love the way you guys protect your eyes, I can tell you as an old ER nurse most parts of your body can be repaired or replaced, but once you damage your eyes it's forever.🙏❤️

A piece of 1/2 inch pvc pipe around the door striker is a cheap and easy fix. Split the section of pipe on one side, spread it apart and snap it around the striker. I “temporarily” fixed mine that way 20 years ago. It’s still there working fine.

When I saw the holes in the floor (from underneath) I could hear Derek say, "A couple license plates'll fix that right up".
I used to use an old wrong way sign for the subtle irony
A guy sure could
Didn't realize how much I missed Mook's sense of humor; thanks for posting the video that was fun.
Y'all should pop rivet some old license plates onto those holes in the floorboards. Good as new!
Why would you want to ruin the aftermarket ac?
Street signs work best for the bigger holes, just hammer to shape
I was thinking some kind of harness from the roof, so she doesn't fall through.
