We installed a lawnmower battery 12V 18ah and rubber tires (pneumatic). Runs very well 👌🏻
Can I use this on a little 6 volt riding 4 wheeler too? No need to change anything but what you changed. Amazing video thank you for posting.
Absolutely. We actually swapped out his 6v 4 wheeler too. I would recommend adding a voltage regulator to the 6 volt 4 wheeler to prolong usage. Check out this video.

Great vid. 👍🏻
Thanks!
Good job Boys! Have you tried a 60V Flexvolt on this sucker??
Not yet. The 20v is about all he needs. Lol. Thanks for watching!
ma nel caso in cui i morsetti siano collegati correttamente e con il tester risulti a zero, vuol dire che la batteria è da cambiare?
Does the added voltage damage the motor?
@@dl3755 I recommend using a voltage regulator.
@@experiencetheoutdoors4867 if you drop the voltage of say a 20v battery down to the 6 volts the motor is rated for then what have you accomplished? Seems like the added voltage is what gives the vehicle more power/speed correct?
@dl3755 that's correct. I like the fact that my kids can change the batteries without any assistance from an adult.
@@experiencetheoutdoors4867 ok makes sense! Thanks for the reply
How long does the battery last?
I haven't actually timed how long it lasts, but it does last longer than the original battery. Also, alot easier to charge and swap out. My 5 year old son charges and changes his own batteries.
Did u bust a gear box ?
No, it's been nearly one year since this conversion. He still drives it daily. However, I would recommend using a voltage regulator on any conversation to prolong the life of the ride on. We've done this same conversion on cheaper rides and burned the motor up rather quickly. Thanks for watching!
Were did you buy the Dewalt adapter.
I actually have some available on my Ebay store. Thanks for watching! www.ebay.com/itm/134102283525?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=2Te4ipt-Rh2&sssrc=2051273&ssuid=2Te4ipt-Rh2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Do I need to remove the new battery to recharge it? Or can you charge it using the charger that came with the tractor originally?
Yes, you will have to remove the battery to charge it.
