Exactly! Similar atrocities are happening in the Philippiness. Deforestation to plant palm trees for palm oil so sell to companies to add to baked goods like Entenmann's. Orangutans being burned alive or shot out of trees. It's so fucking horrible what humans will do for money.
One of my favourite song of them. Listening to Gojira on daily basis since 2018. Their music is what drives me in my life and helps getting through tough times. And all of the band members are super nice, chill and down to earth guys. Got to meet their drummer, Mario and it was the most beautiful thing I've ever experienced. Def reccomend on entering their rabbit hole. You won't be disappointed. Kind regards from Poland!
Thank you. Everyone needs to see this. Overall, it seems to me that humanity as a whole is just incapable of learning or unwilling to learn from past mistakes and also incapable of seeing and understanding cause and effect. Step by step, piece by piece, we are creating our own dystopian future.
Funny to think we consider ourselves the highest evolved species and "top of the food chain" given we are the species ruining the only planet we have. I guess we're too willing to keep kicking the issues down the road until it's too late.
My son introduced me to this band in December and I've been listening ever since. These boys are incredible musicians and humanitarians. Wonderful guys. Trying to bring awareness to people more concerned with personal wealth than worried about where the earth is going to end up for their children. George Carlin was right. The earth will be fine but we are f'd.
I don't know much from Gojira. I saw them last year with Mastodon and Lorna Shore, but I had to leave early and only caught part of their set. I'd love to watch you go down a Gojira Rabbit Hole and go down it with you.
Gojira is really cool band🤘And yes, that devastation is horrible😭😱 Once Amazon and tribes are gone, they ARE GONE FOR GOOD😢A huge amount of incredible species will vanish.
Gojira is awesome, heavy music with an important message. The first song I heard by them was toxic garbage island. This one has a definite Sepultura vibe.
That's true mentioning the Sepultura vibe. Maybe intentional considering they are from Brazil? I think I may have to do that Toxic Garbage Island next, my friend. Thank you!
@BemusingBill definitely due to sepultura being Brazilian. Toxic garbage island is a good one, their catalog is pretty large at this point. Hope you guys are well my friend
@@Plague073These guys love Sepultura, have done covers of their songs, and the lead singer Joe has played bass in Cavalera Conspiracy. So the Sepultura vibes are not only real, they are intentional for this song.
Don't know why..they remind me a little bit of Trivium but Trivium are my favorite band and no one comes close to them in my mind...I don't know if you've heard Shogun by Trivium it's a real classic... seen them twice when they came to the UK...both concerts were mind-blowing. Gojira do have some bangers aswell but can't recall what I heard from them about ten years ago.
I don't know Trivium but oddly enough when I was reading a post from The Charismatic Voice and she as asking about learning harsh vocals and asking who should she learn from the singer of Trivium himself responded with a 'hand up' emoji. Maybe I should check out some Trivium,
@@BemusingBill Awesome band buddy I believe their originally from Orlando Florida so I'm surprised you haven't heard them.. awesome musicians the drummer plays like he's just laid back on a lounger and I'm like how is he playing like Dave Lombardo but doing it so easily..the singer doing unreal riffs on the guitar while singing like Ronnie radke in beast mode and the guitar solos are done by both guitarists sometimes in harmony. I can only describe the genre as melodic thrash in most songs but they can also do straight up thrash..I thought Shogun would be a good representation of their abilities.. and has a great story attached to the song with the whole album also called Shogun is around the same theme.
Great song ! you should check on "l'enfant sauvage", which is also talking about the connection between man and nature (with incredible drumming and guitar riffs).
Definitely a band who sings about things we all need to think about.

Gojira are amazing musicians and environmentalists. Stranded, Silvera, Born For One Thing, Our Time Is Now, L’Enfant Saivage
They are so cool! I love a band that stands up for a cause. I will check out those other songs as well. Thank you!

You are right, my friend. Sad to say. Yes, I believe everyone needs to see this.
Funny to think we consider ourselves the highest evolved species and "top of the food chain" given we are the species ruining the only planet we have.

Huge fan. Try The Gift of Guilt live at Brixton Academy, Stranded, Silvera, Flying Whales, Lizard Skin (very heavy). So many great songs.

That's very true. It breaks my heart that that's going to happen and there is nothing I can do about it except get the message out. 😢

Truly heartbreaking is right! 😢 The band was great though! This is a Very important message, everyone needs to wake up and stop all this BS!
