That's one thing I love about Gojira, they're unique. Their sound is Gojira. All the greats share the same in being unique. Forging a new sound.....freaking awesome!!
Gojira writes heartfelt music, and you seem a heartfelt guy. Please start reading lyrics with their songs as many are incredible. Ive cried many times to Gojira songs because they seem to realize at all times that life is so much bigger than it seems. A personal lyrical favorite is "The Way of All Flesh". It gets me every time.
Gojira are my number one go to band for any mood or situation Magma was their BLACK album and I mean that in the best possible way The melody in this song is strong but even in old school Gojira Joe always found a way to sneak melody into even their heaviest stuff 🤘🧐✌️ MARIO DUPLANTIER IS GOOOOOOD
After i changed my headphones there was a period where i was falling in love with every single new music i listened to, everything seeemed so good. After a while i noticed the new headphones were making me hear a whole new dimension of music, so i loved whatever i was hearing with them lol Btw here's my low effort comment: gojira gud, nuff said
I think Magma was the first album recorded at their Silver Cord studio in New York. The song Silvera was nominated for Best Metal performance at the 59th Grammys. Ultimately they lost to Megadeth's "Dystopia", but it was really awesome seeing this Metal band from France that I had been listening to for years, getting some recognition on the Big stage! Other noteable bands that were up for this award that night were Periphery, Korn, and Baroness, the later of which was also an awesome surprise as well! sorry foe the ramble, stay metal!! 🤘🤘
@@satriconNaw you're tripping. Gojira is different. There's so much crap generic metal. Gojira does it different. Nobody does what they do. All their albums are bangers.
if you have the occasion to watch the clip of a song off that album called " low lands " ..very emotionnal ( video goes with the song ) about the passing of their mother Patricia Duplantier during the recording of the album magma ...when you know the context and Know that she is represented in the video ..yeah it's powerful man .but yeah another great track ..it's one of those bands that don't have a bad song anyway. Check Oroborus live eurockenne 2009 prime Gojira ..and you haven't even checked their younger days , the link alive 2003 when they were pure death metal band buT still with the roots of their sound. The legendary Where Dragons dwell with the _7mn transe double kick riff by Mario so many to discover
Looks like the same dancer that was in Stranded. So awesome. She is compelling. I love this track. This band is just wow. You know they're great when you run out of adjective describe "great" and just say wow. lol
I'm really glad that you are enjoying this little Gojira journey. This song is a more straight forward than a lot of their other material. Don't get me wrong, it still kicks, hard. I have questions regarding the direction of the next requests. Do you want something in a similar vein? Something more brutal? More technical? Melodic? Softer? I'm just trying to find a good path for you. 😉🤘
Fun story, I rediscovered Gojira a while back, and thought they sounded similar to another band I had heard before, but not the same. I went wandering in my mind, and found where and who. There was a band named Godzilla, I never caught their music, but heard it at the time, so i looked it up, listened, and yes, there was similarities, so much in fack i found out it was the same band, they just changed the band name.
Great reaction ! I don't think you have reacted to "l'enfant sauvage" yet. I love that song, might be my favorite. Maybe a good suggestion for your next Gojira song ?
Good headphones opened my ear-eyes. Got myself a pair of Hifiman Sundaras and Modhouse Argons and I cried at stuff I'd heard a hundred times before. Magical stuff. Also, fuck yeah, Gojira 🤘
I think you'd get a lot better overall view on Gojira, if you'd check out their stuff more chronologically. (same as with Ghost) Gojira has always been the hippie -tree-hugging band, but their message and style has evolved from more activist and rioting towards more profound and subtle.
"Quit moaning about feta cheese"
Very powerful opening lyrics.
greek people hearing this song: 😮
Ah, written sarcasm...

I won't even comment the details of this song. Gojira is one of my favorite bands and their music speaks to my core. Simple as that. ❤

I have ignored Gojira for way too long, they have smth really interesting going on. Loved that sort of oriental vibe the lead guitar had here.
They have a bunch of bangers. but the albums overall are kinda meh imo.

Gojira is up there with my love for Devin Townsend and Opeth! I hope you check our more of Devin as well. I enjoyed seeing your reactions to him.
