every five or ten years of my life, I find a group that I absolutely adore and obsess over; Musically, Artisticly, Philosophically... This is my band right now man, nobody in the light of this generation of music gets my attention like this band. \m/
Great video, Gojira is my favorite band and you're one of the only reactors who properly spot all the that make them so much more than your typical band. The emotional swells in their songs and content can be impressive! Mario is the worlds best drummer so its overall a perfect package. Earned a subscriber. Id enjoy if you did Clone, Remembrance, Space Time or anytbing from the Terra Incognita album. It shows what they were capable of even at the age of 20. Mario back then was just as extreme if not even more experimental! Lots of new interest in Gojira so they'd potentially earn quite a few more views now.
Bonne réaction Andy. Interesting thoughts and analysis. Fun thought that you had about them looking serious in the picture. They're very interesting guys to hear on itws, humble, kind, smart.
Glad you enjoyed it! I've actually researched more into them since filming this, and they're doing this whole album as part of a drive to help save the Amazon rainforest. What absolute legends they are!
@@AndySharpMusic20 Oui. They've been involved with good causes for a long time, decades. With sea shepherd for instance. Many songs about the planet, the environment but lots of interesting songs too about the meaning of life, some esoteric knowledge, life lessons. Joseph Duplantier is vegan and fights a lot against animal cruelty. The amazing song Silvera has references to that. Their song Amazonia is pretty awesome. The music video is nice and dark, tragic. The music video of The Chant from the new album is about Tibetans, what's done to them by the ccp. The new album is a call to action, many songs like Into the storm with a positive message, courage, résilience, overcoming fear, leap of faith, going away from the comfort zone to create opportunities, for good things to happen. Finding many keys, forces from within. As other comments said, they're a mind blowing band live, one of the best. So many insane live performances. Many are on youtube.
That's really fascinating to learn, thank you for sharing all that! They're a band I certainly admire for the work they're doing as well as their music. I have been lucky enough to see them live once and they blew me away!

They really are one of a kind.
Agreed- Joe has an amazing voice. As someone who loves metal but doesn’t love the heavier growls, he walks the line perfectly.
Absolutely. He's unbelievably talented!
Really inventive song! The drumming pattern is beyond me..
It's crazy isn't it! I don't know how they do it
