Alright kids. Do you like Gojira?
Fuck yeah! Their sound is so unique, their songs have so much put in them, and it encourages others to learn about all sorts of different introspective and spiritual topics
Gojira will go down in history as one of the greatest metal bands of all time.
Yes, love them.
The person who suggested these two songs probably wanted you to experience the fullness of the Gojira experience. But it was not typical.
Check out Gojira Oroborous live at Eurockeennes. It’ll give you an idea of their live energy.
And check out Mastodon, Chimes at Midnight. Not a typical song people would ask you to check out by them but it’s just fucking beautiful.
I subscribed, but am expecting more Gojira sir!
Got it 🫡 I really love Blood and Thunder from Mastodon. But this is the only song I really know from them. I think I need to dig deeper into this band. Thank you for your recommendations 🙏
@@killerkingarrr You’re welcome! Gojira is definitely a band that might fit better for you (or anyone) at a certain point and time in life. What truly sets them apart are the themes and lyrics, and their passion and urgency.
I’m in a Mastodon deep dive love affair right now, after resisting them for a long time. I saw them live with Gojira in August and Mastodon blew me away.
Pretty bang on with that statement 🙃
I always start people off with Flying Whales when introducing them to Gojira
gojira is 10x better than most metal bands people react to on YT, listen to their live show on Red rocks, literally any song you pick is gonna be a masterpiece, Only pain, the cell, pray, flying wales...all amazing
Thanks for the recommendation! I'll definitely check out their live show on Red Rocks.
Gojira rules. Saw them live a while back, and they were excellent.
Very much so. Top 10 metal band for me. No one does it quite like they do.
died on a dog reveal, nice reaction my dude
Thanks! Yeah It was 100% unexpected move 😄
welcome to one of the best band of all time..and live no one top them
I saw them live in Cincinnati last year.... they were insanely good.
gojira is my fav band, ty for content, keep it up
ладно, я увидел что ты говоришь на русском xD
Ху ми? Ноооу
I LOVE Gojira. They are one of my favs!
Stranded is DEFINITELY not their best but it's the most palpable LOL.
Gojira is my favorite band. Vacuity is my favorite song, and it will be yours too 😉

I’ll check it out. Thank you ☺️
Thanks for sharing your honest opinion of Gojira! Their older stuff can be harder to listen to and runs hard on the nostalgia vibes. Haven't really listened to much of their newer stuff as I've drifted into trance and techno. Since coming across your videos I've felt the call to go back to metal!!! The beat of Gojira is never the time signature you expect it to be, say it reads initially as a 4/4 for 4 bars then switches to a 6/8 for a couple of bars and then back to a 4/4, it's actual time signature could either be something like a 5/4 or a 7/8. As Jack Black says in School of Rock "Math is a really cool thing"!😂 At the end of the day though to each their own musical preferences regarding mathematical technicality, don't get me wrong though, music that gives set, simple repetitions in a well executed and concise manner can be amazing, all boils down to preference at the end of the day! Thanks for the video man keep up the honesty and great videos!! 🙏🏽♥️
Agreed! Thank you for your comments. It's always something interesting to think about 🙏
And yeah gonna look for more interesting stuff. I'm really enjoying digging into music.
Gojira can be kind of hard to get into. I blew them off for many years because I thought they were just another leftover Korn "nu-metal" band. There is some of that there. But there's also death metal, rock, prog, "math-rock," even some pop influences.
One day I wanted to just listen to something new, and some friends had recommended Gojira. So put the name in UA-cam and decided to try this live show from Hellfest 2013 (I think?). I really thought I would just check a track or two, you know, skip around a bit and see what's up. But no. I watched the entire performance and was pretty awestruck the entire time. The song The Heaviest Matter of the Universe and the part where they drop in to a slow, creepy Morbid Angel bit in Flying Whales sealed the deal. Gojira is NOT leftover Korn. It's more like Meshuggah had a threesome with Sepultura and Morbid Angel while Dream Theater watched and Fear Factory was kicking Fred Durst's ass in the next room....and Devin Townsend is pointing and laughing.
They have a song or album for pretty much everyone. A good selection would be "This Emptiness, From the Sky, The Way of All Flesh, Clone, Space Time, The Axe, The Wilderness.
Lots to choose from! The slowest songs would be Stranded, Low Lands, Shooting Star, The Trails and Born in Winter.
Best live metal band ever, and the Dummer mario releases solos tht you NEED to see! He won metal drummer of the year.
Did you listen properly, or just to snippets? I prefer to get to follow the actual reaction along with the full songs.
Really appreciate your honesty!
I just cut into the parts that I have something to say on or parts that sound the most interesting. Cause I want to avoid any copyright issues and avoid my video being blocked. That would be annoying 🥴 Thank you for your comment!
@@killerkingarrr Ah, OK. Most reactors release videos of full songs though.
@@killerkingarrr It's quite distracting to watch a reaction cut in pieces. People want to listen to the song they love with someone reacting to it, and they usually want it full. You can just pause several times, and there won't be any copyright issues. Just an advice, do as you see fit of course.
@@yetonemorechannel ok I'll keep that in mind. I am just figuring out how to make these kinds of videos. Thank you for your advice
Love Gojira. Favorite song is probably Sphinx? But it's hard to choose.
Would personally like to see you react to Protest the Hero, though they also might not be your thing. Bloodmeat is probably the least pixelated of their stuff on UA-cam. The years have not been kind.
Also, I think you might like Elder if you don't already listen to them. Sanctuary is my favourite tune of theirs.
An amazing and super talented band j would reccomend checking out is Shepherds Reign. They are a Samoan metal band. Good song to start with is Le Manu.
Gojira - Born For One Thing is the song i have in my playlist and repeat it when i can :p
Got it. I'll check it out. Thanks!
Gojira- gift of guilt live brixton academy. Life changing live performance
nice 3 INCHES OF BLOOD reference !
Thanks. They are cool, I like high vocals
Yo bro, check out Ice-T's metal band BodyCount. Talk shit, get shot or There goes the neibourhood. Both bangers.
Cheers from Canada eh
Thanks 🙏 Cheers!
,it's awesome because Gojira is awesome , but i would suggest to go back in time , and listen their ealier more technical stuff first to have an idea of where they come from , songs here are from the first albums to the last , here is an ultimate playlist so you don't have to search xd

I feel an extra happiness when I see such videos like this. Because it tells us that we are all different. I love Gojira precisely because of what you dislike about them. What you dig for rhythm and tact is endlessly boring to me. I grew up into metal from the 70s-80s-90s, but I don't listen to it at all today. Maybe I sometimes listen to some prog rock from the 70s. Am super happy for bands like Gojira to exist today and give me so much music joy.
That's interesting, for real. I'm glad we all can find something that fits our tastes. And Im really curious to explore the world of music. So that's nice that I finally checked Gojira. 😁
Hi man! I would recommend a banda from argentina (My country) it's called Carajo. The name of the song is sácate la mierda. Or You can choose libres. Both are great songs. Have a good day!! ☺️☺️☺️
¡Hola! Thank you for your recommendation!
Love them flying whales
Gojira is absolute in top of metal imo, thing you should know about them is, they care a LOT about the climate changes, and got several lyrics with this concept, the drummer won many awards, and is a big thing in this band some call him the best drummer in metal, and he is surely up there, i also think its important for the band to get the message in the songs out, and last Gojira got some very catchy riffs going.
Have you heard Sevendust before? I recommend their song "Denial", i think it's their most popular.
Fit for an autopsy
A band that mixes the gojira sound with grooves and breakdowns on some of their songs.
Songs for you to check out:
Black mammoth
Far from heaven
Swing the axe
Sea of tragic beasts
Thank you 🙏
@@killerkingarrr
After listenning to Gojira a lot, they wont "surprise" you with their tempo changes and randomly timed noises so when they manage to catch you off guard, it becomes the highlight of the song and makes the songs relistennable, until you figure out all their quirks. For most people this is the appeal to them, but if it doesn't do it for you, that's fine, we are different. There are insanely popular bands I can't understand why people like (for example: Slipknot)
Did anyone else think that was Layne Stayley in the thumbnail?

Do some black metal.
For real. What band could you recommend?
@@killerkingarrr Leviathan - The Tenth Sub Level of Suicide would be a good one.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you don't approve of prog. :) To each his own. I love this band, though.
Agreed 😊
Готов поспорить, что тебя @SEKTASEINA подначил
На Годжиру? Нет, из комментов рекомендация.
