i'm a indigenous Native American from the Navajo/Diné tribe, & indigenous lands are in danger of being taken & destroyed everyday around the world.
in fact, 90% of indigenous lands are located in or near a uranium mine or uranium mill.
people don't know about these issues because the greedy corporates that run these operations pay a lot of money to keep these things quite. some even pay money for squads to force indigenous people off their lands, or even kill them.
in the United States & Canada, many colonial & racist people make it their mission to ensure indigenous Native Americans do not get their land back. a lot of them say: "we conquered the land & it's people (indigenous Native Americans), so they belong to us."
i also believe indigenous Native American females & 2-spirits (transgenders) are also being kidnapped & killed more times than any female & transgender in any ethnic group. human trafficking & child abduction rings are also looking for indigenous Native Americans, both males & females, because our "one-of-a-kind" genetic traits are considered rare, & we can be sold for a lot of money for those traits. i think statistics even said that 1 in 3 indigenous Native American females are bound to get stalked & almost kidnapped in their lifetime.
an organization known as the Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, & 2-Spirits (MMIW & MMIWG2S); are currently fighting for the recognition of thousands of Native females who went missing in & around Native American reservations & reserves.
there is also a highway in Washington & Oregon areas (US) where a lot of indigenous Native American females were found dead. in fact, there were so many, that it is known today as "the Highway of Tears".
& yes, all these are real issues going on. & there are more worse issues that other tribes deal with, too. it's just no one talks about it. when we do try to include ourselves in civil rights, most times we get ignored or we get pushed away. that's why many indigenous tribes choose to deal with our problems on our own, rather than try to get recognition.
& these issues happen in every indigenous community in the Americas (North, Central, & South America). we all deal with extreme poverty (many people are currently living in homes with no electricity & no running water or plumbing in the US, Canada, & Mexico), & cultural extinction (many indigenous cultures & languages are going extinct because of greedy companies taking our lands, & because cities & society is growing & expanding). many immigrants who come to the US & Canada face a lot of discrimination & racism when it comes to not knowing the English language, but not many people know that indigenous Native Americans were & are still forced to learn the English language (keep in mind there over 600 tribes in the US alone, & we all have our own cultures & languages), & we did a good job teaching our children to take advantage of the English language. but in the process of trying to survive in these countries, many indigenous people lose their cultures & languages.
if you want to make a difference, PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES.
we've been fighting since 1492, & we are still fighting. 💯💯

The song is about the mass destruction and deforestation of the rainforest, largely as a result of intentional man made forest fires.

To answer the question about fires starting naturally, lightning can start them sometimes, wind could blow over a stone and it could make a spark etc. Those fires however, were manmade and accelerated by the mass deforestation taking place in the amazon rainforest. The tribal people in the video are indigenous to the amazon.

So basically gojira have started a charity fund or something of the sort to help with the amazon's state and this song brings awareness to that cause. i havent fully looked into it this is just what i have gathered :)

The scene with the banner is a protest in Brazil against the destruction of the Amazon rainforest. Direct result of factory farming and overstepping of humans leading to global warming. 😫
