After watching your progress for the last couple years I think I'm finally going to pull the trigger and create my own back yard golf green. I hope your recovery goes well and that you can still put out some content, even if it's not in the yard.
Sevin SL and 3336f. Please note sevin is only allowed to be used for spot treatment in a residential lawn. So, pick your favorite spot and just treat that.
Sorry you'll be out, and I bet the knee will be much better soon. In the meantime, here's a fun discussion starter for you: For context, I'm in Idaho Falls which is zone 5a and I have a kgb lawn also. I mow at .75". I always start pgr when I notice that I'm cutting off more than that on a 2 / week mowing schedule. That was yesterday. At that point, I note the YTD GDD and apply every 225 GDD until the soil temp gets to 70, then it slows down. I've noticed for the last 3 years, my first app has always occurred right around 100 cumulative for the year. In addition, it's also when soil temps are between 50 and 55. It's also when I detchatch in the spring. I wonder if this is "a thing." Side note: I subscribed because you and I have the same turf grass management textbook, although different editions. :)
Have you seen any discoloration at that interval on grass that tall? If not, what rate are you at. Theoretically longer cut would be higher app rate and longer re-app window. Granted 3/4" is still pretty short.
None at all. I’m applying at 1/4 oz / 1000 sq ft or 1oz per full backpack sprayer. Approx 7-8ml/1000 sqft. Forgot to mention, my area has low iron soil, so I also apply iron at 1oz / 1k at the same time. Probably helps any discoloration.
Spectracide with the yellow cap is safe for bent. 2-4-d stand alone would also likely work. Basically just any generic broad leaf herbicide labeled safe for bent.
Honestly, you're probably not going to find one and if you did want a manual I'd probably recommend a Hudson star which is a few grand. Your best bet is going to be just watching marketplace for a used greensmower. I'm honestly not even sure mclane still sells what I had anymore.
Well said and speedy recovery 👍🏻💚🦸🏻
Thank you.
Wishing you a speedy recovery! Lawn will look just fine in the end
Thank you.
Great approach to lawncare! The lawn is looking great.
Thank you.

Yea man. Just give it a shot and see what happens. Thank you and will be doing my best on the content front.
Hopes for speedy recovery and what cocktail did you use for worm castings! They’re testing my patience this year

@@JasonSeiberlich ok awesome thank you, that’s also good to know it’s legal limitations.

Nice.
@@JasonSeiberlich you go lower?
I'm at 5/8", 0.4, and 3/16 on the side yard, fairway, and green respectively.
Hope you have a good recovery. How are you liking the JD mower? In my opinion is amazing and produces a great cut.
Thanks. I love the JD. Were it a 22" it would be my favorite.
I’ve been dreaming of a 260b lately…
@@msilv8335 I love My JD , if another one goes up for sale anywhere around me I will not hesitate to scoop it up asap!
So I’ve got the Penncross Bent grass. What chemicals do I need for getting rid of the clover?

@@jimmymcfarland4184 honestly not sure drilling holes is all that beneficial. If you want to it won't hurt, but definitely not necessary.
hey jason I have been trying to start a putting green and I want to get the manual mclane mower, do you think you can direct me to that? thanks!!
