My late husband would urinate into a large bucket outside the back door and spray the contents on our lawn the spring. He said it contained enough nitrogen to last the season thru. Downside was the old goat would sometimes step into the wretched, rancid liquid when he got up to pee in the middle of the night forgetting to turn the patio light on! My goodness he would come right back into bed smelling like an old wet diaper! ! ! !
It could, especially if you have a spreading cultivar that you need to fill in some bare spots. But wait until the twmps in your area come up and the plant is actively growing.
As the lawn comes out of dormancy? Yes. Also, if it's green and growing there isn't a huge need to worry about the soil. We're trying to grow a plant. If the plant looks good, we're chillin. Obviously, there is an endless list of things you can do. The point of this video is to try and cut through an endless sea of terrible advice across every social media platform that says you can't have a nice lawn unless you do these 100 things. Just isn't true.
Yes. And, if you're at a point where it feels like that, then I'd say you're at a point where verticutting or dethatching would actually be beneficial. I'll probably do it again next year.
I have to agree with this video. Nature will do what is has always done without needing to push it. Marketing of all these products including chemicals, equipment and procedures is big business and after a long Winter and slow sales its time to pay the bills lol

Finally tilled, sand/soil, and seeded my future putting green. Thank you so much for the help along the way.
Love to hear it. Best of luck.
Just 2 70 degree days here but i have to agree nothing is best , freshly renovated lawn in the fall seems like it needs some though..

Good points there!
Thank you.
Hello everyone! Installed putting green last year, live south of Erin Hills Wisconsin any recommended post emergent for I have weeds this early May.
Spectracide with the yellow cap. I have a video talking about killing weeds in new seed and comparing the two spectracide products.
So true👍🏼🏴
I got my soil test recently and my lawn was low on potassium, sulfur and no iron at all. My ph is high also. So i just mow it and water it🤔

I have KBG and I’ve been mowing lower and lower, in effort to try to not have that spongy weird top layer, know what I mean?
