one of the most interesting and none depressing "fine art" photos I have witnessed, the seagull added spirituality and the nets wind and tide, excellent result.
Those are great images, but I would have loved to see more about how to handle the impact of the weather conditions on the equipment. How to keep the ND and POL filters accessible while protecting the front of the lens from getting fogged by the rain and how to prevent camera shake by the wind better than by barely shielding it with your body.
I've been watching you on UA-cam for about 7 years now and I always enjoy your posts. This is one of my favourites. Absolutely loved the 1/15th on the bridge, one of my favourites of your's ever Mads. Right up there with Knude Lighthouse in the swirling snow for me. Taking photos in bad weather can be so rewarding and you showed it well here, especially around water.
Not a fan of long exposure photography in general, but the color pallet of these photos really enhances their ethereal feel. The “fast” exposure bridge photo is indeed the most gripping one
Most of my professional work these days is social media photo and video drone and 360 for construction companies. But when I get time to do my own photos long exposure landscape Seascape Woodland is where my heart is. I've learned so very much from watching your UA-cam channel. 🎉 This might come to you as a strange question but I noticed the roll bar behind your driver seat and for the life of me I cannot think of what vehicle you are driving.? I don't think we have anything like that here in the United States.
The second picture of the bridge with the waves and the raindrops on the water surface is an absolutely stunner photography and imho one of your best works I've seen so far. Pure drama.
Love, love, love the 1/15 shot of the bridge. Seeing the rain on the sea like that! So good. Your dedication to your art is to be commended. Or referred to a psychologist 🙂
Hi, an excellent video as every time. I like the picture with the bridge with the sharp waves best. And the the landscape shot of the Danish light house. You gave me some ideas for my upcoming trip to Boston, Montreal ,Quebec City and the Acadia national park.
Wow just loved all those images. We have rain forecast for tomorrow so I am going to head out to see what I can get. Thanks for the great inspiration as always Mads
This is one of my favorite videos of you, maybe even the best so far. The places might not be iconic like some others in the world, but they are authentic and especially places I like. I have been there at the Great Belt Bridge and also at the Bellevue Beach taking pictures of the lighthouse, unfortunately a little after the blue hour. The first picture of the fishing net is incredible beautiful. The second of the bridge is awesome too. And the pictures of the lighthouse are outstanding fine art to me. Than you mentioned "Micheal learns to rock". Instantly, I remembered the song "25 minutes" and had to listen to it. So, very good memories came back in my mind. Sorry for the long post, but I am so excited and happy watching this video. Great photos, nice places, awesome music and you, sharing all those things with us. Thank you very much. Mange tak for denne video,
Nice work Mads, really liked the second image of the bridge. That’s not the only lighthouse featured in the band’s videos. Thanks for sharing again. Always interesting.
What a surprise that a Danish knows Micheal Learns to Rock :) I have known many nordic people dont know them only asian people I know that love them... I really enjoy your video... we only knows the final product without knowing how hard to get a single good photo
Thank you for the very useful video clip. The inspirational voiceover combines words and images very well, very inspiring. For a long time, I often misunderstood telephoto lenses, thinking that this lens was only for taking simple distant images, rarely thinking that it brought artistic value. Thank you very much.
I always love your work! I would have liked to see a version of the first image of the nets where the nets were sharp to match the poles and bird. Just a thought! The last bridge shot was spectacular! Thanks for taking me along!
I wanted to give a shoutout for mentioning Michael Learns to Rock. So many online people focus so much on their craft that they'd never mention a band, song, book or movie that they like. It starts to feel like they're robots in their own little world hidden from the rest of pop culture. ps. I prefered the vertical lighthouse :)
Good stuff! I love the adventure spirit, I also often don't end up finding what I went when I go out photoing, but I often find other things I didn't expect. I've been trying to teach myself how to compose and how to look for shots for this kind of long exposure... very much still working on it. Also I have to be goofy and ask the off-topic question... what kind of car is that? :D
Just awesome and inspirational as always! Just curious however, what were your considerations in not masking the top of the frame in the bird & net image vs darkening the sky in the bridge photos?
I'm curious about the rain on your filter during the long exposure. It seems like you kept wiping it off. That was quick enough with the rag and clear without drops long enough to work? Did you do anything special to succeed in keeping the rain off and getting a good shot?
Love this video Mads! Which camera are you using? I have the A7Rv and would like to go out in these conditions but I do worry about the weather sealing at times.
Hello thank you for tutorial videos. I think it's one of our biggest problems. After editing photo on mac pro, i send to iphone and color and luminosity seem different. I dont mention the screen calibration of Mac Pro. Do you have any suggestions on how we can solve this?
Mads...do you have a video showing how to blend two images in PS? I only use LR Classic, and am not familiar with PS, though I do subscribe to LR and PS.
I have one where I do it in Luminar Neo, but that's probably not of much help if you specifically need the commands of Photoshop... Else, I do it quite a lot in my course.
I do a lot of this Photography in my area because I live in a cooler place and I change the editing into that blue tone. Sometimes I really like your images. I shoot similar stars. I'm not a big fan of the three minute exposures but give me a two second exposure one second or sometimes a quarter and you get some really cool Looks
Fantastisk video.
I do not consider this a photograph, it is actually digital art. A photograph is what is originally captured before you start all of the post production work.
The bridge shot with the grainy waves is the best here, I think. By the way, and I'm not aiming this at you, I hate the term 'fine art' with a passion. It sounds so ridiculously pretentious. Blegh.
The second bridge photo is nice and moody, but I have to admit that I don’t have same feelings for the rest. All those long exposeres with out whitened waves gives me nothing. I’d rather see real waves in the photo. I know what they are. That fluffy ”snow” what’s that? Not a real thing. Just my opinion.

Cant believe how amazing that second bridge shot turned out with the faster shutter speed. The rain hitting the water is stunning!!
The second image of the bridge is fantastic! Definitely a wall hanger! 👏
Absolutely a case where the long exposure wasn't having the same feel. You could see the rain and wind, a real story
Thank you so much! I'm also very happy about it!

7:28 - fabulous.
loved your image of the bridge taken at 1/15th - very atmospheric!
The second image of the bridge is my favorite, hands down. Fantastic shot! 😍
Really enjoyed this Mads, especially loved those bridge images and a great example that bad weather does not prevent you from capturing a great image
Love, love, love the 1/15 shot of the bridge. Seeing the rain on the sea like that! So good.

Second image of the bridge is my favorite. You nailed the mood perfectly.
Love long exposure. Good tips.
Liked the long exposure shot of the fishing nets.Still trying to get the knack of lomg exposure.
Wow, high class fine Art. And a tough man fighting with that difficult conditions. Great Movie! Thank you very much!
Wow just loved all those images. We have rain forecast for tomorrow so I am going to head out to see what I can get. Thanks for the great inspiration as always Mads
You are a master of your craft!
Thank you for these beautiful images and showing how you made them!
The fishing net photo's outstanding. I hope you gave the seagull a treat for [posing? The second bridge image; outstanding! Thanks, Mads!
It flew away too fast 😅

Hi Mads, great shots. Fantastic techniques! Bert.
These are beautiful, Mads. I like the bridge photos especially.
Nice work Mads, really liked the second image of the bridge.
That’s not the only lighthouse featured in the band’s videos.
Thanks for sharing again. Always interesting.
Ahh, this gives me some ideas!
Love the net shot
Very nice images. I think the bridge photos might be quite nice in black and white.
Lovely Mads 🔥 I really liked the 3 sets, my favorite being the one with the bridge and birds (faster one).
Oh.. another fan of MLTR! :D So many great songs!
btw, someday and the actor and sleeping child.. and ofc something you should know
Very stunning photos, love your videos

7:49 really awesome photo!
Cool stuff. Love the seagull pic.
All the images are fabulous!
Amazing photos as always. I love to see you doing work here in Denmark, it is very inspiring!
Fantastic images 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 great work in such adverse conditions.
I really like this mood and I try to create it whenever I can but in Italy I have to wait for winter
a greeting
Great video, amazing discipline to photograph in those conditions but very beautiful work as always. Thanks for sharing.
the first photo is amazing! thanks
Love the bird/net photo Mads !! I love that shot at 7:20....way cool !! ok well, as usual, not a bad photo in the bunch !! :)

Inspiring shots as always, thankyou.
Ahh quite lovely thanks Mads. Thanks for sharing your inspiration.
Well done, Mads!
Always some interesting information over here.
Really good video of your process and the shots are just incredible! Thanks for this!
Inspirational video. Thx !
Another great video! Awful weather but the photos are worth it 👍🏼
Great video and photos.
Love the seagull and fishing nets shot ! Nice video ! Despite the weather you pulled off some great shots :)
Stunning! Thank u
Да, отличные фото
Awesome photos 🙌
Woaw, simply woaw!
Good video och a nice song:-D
Excellent work my friend ❤
love the first photo. Does your course cover blending like this? It would be great to see how you do that
Not specifically for a photo like that, but you should be able to easily extrapolate it from the tutorials where I blend and mask :)
Jeg ser altid dine videoer ,jeg elsker også at Fotografere og jeg bor græsted I Danmark

I like it..

How to make front blurry photo
Hi Mads,
How do you keep rainwater on the lens from ruining the photos?
Hi, several different techniques, but check out my video on how to photograph in the rain :)
Love this video Mads! Which camera are you using? I have the A7Rv and would like to go out in these conditions but I do worry about the weather sealing at times.
I have the a7r5 :)
@@MadsPeterIversen After seeing that video I’ll trust it a little bit more. With insurance of course lol.
Thank you.

This was a scary video for me, watching the camera and the lens in the rain, that gave me anxiety lol

none of the photos can beat a seagull on a pole
i don't think that the lighthouse would be blurry in LE
Did you record all of this using Osmo Pocket 3 or other camera?
Everything "vlogging" is the Osmo, everything with a longer focal length is the a7r5 :)
@@MadsPeterIversen thank you

Takker! Ja, der er ret meget at komme efter på sådanne dage 😁
I´m from the Faroes. When MY weather is terrible, you can´t take pictures 😆😆

Too much promo and not so explaining for those who don't know and were hoping to have questions answered. But it was cool.
