@27:00 Daniel talks about educate people so "they can do it themself, I don't want people to have to hold someone hand".
That's exactly what happened to me. Long ago I bought bodybyring and I never followed the program, but never I conidered this wasted money, I was always happy I got it because of all it teached me. I also bought Calimove mobility program and the same happened, I rarely follow the plan by the dot but not a second I was disapointed with my purchase.
Now I read some books on the topic, create my own routines, I seldomly watch any youtube fitness video but I'm really happy I did. FitnessFAQs and Calimove did exactly that : showed me the way and educated me to smart training.

I love this channel thanks for the video. I basically started doing calisthenics because your videos. Last month I've torn my biceps doing back lever on the gymnastic rings. I've done the surgery to repair it and the recovery is going well. After watching this video I kind of realised that I only suffer this injury because I was over training.

  • @oaschbeidl

I'm enjoying these behind the scenes talks!
Both your channels are among the best on UA-cam when it comes to bodyweight fitness and the effort you put into every video really shows and pays off! I really like the approach Alex mentioned about venturing out into different branches of fitness and healthy lifestyle in general and taking what works for you from every practice. I've been doing the same, getting information and workouts/practices from yoga, weight lifting, bodyweight fitness/calisthenics, different breathwork techniques, intermittent fasting, etc. and I combine all the things that work for me from each one into my own personal routine. Seeing great progress from this approach and your channels among a couple others have been a tremendous help in figuring things out! So thanks for your great work!

@@mariap.894 true, having a pain free back is about moving your body in various positions, though. So the best would have been if he shifted his position during the interview. Using comfortable seats is what prevents you to listen to your body. When using uncomfortable sitting devices you automatically want to move your body, because you can't stand sitting in the same position for too long. On the other hand he surely does have the strength and mobility to allow himself being in such a bad sitting position for some time.

yea now im so happy and even more motivated after hearing this bcs I am exactly that type but just want to reach a plenty of moves-goals, he said exactly how I work, eating clean is like peace of cake, I am training for 3 and half months ,yesterday I had my first cheat day and in those 105 days, and had like 4,5 cheat meals during those 105 days but i do not think on pizza panckace hamburger and so , for me cheat meal is one peace of cake after lunch and that cake is made of almonds walnuts some eggs without heavy creams, chocolate, pudding so its cool :), and I only eat it because I need to show some love to my mom bcs she enjoys so much preparing cakes so she feels bad when I say I wont taste it,cause dont want a single bite even tho they are all healthy and amazing, for whole her life she is eating and doing all those healthy cakes but still no thanks, buy cant say that :(
I dont remember last time when I ate something like hamburger pizza and so on, literally all what i am eating is : nuts seeds oats, peanut butter, cheese ,ham, meat, all types from chicken to whatever, fish, eggs, rice quinoa, some salat, and I drink only water yogurt and some milk, soup, maybe i took 2 or 3 glasses of some juice in these three months, while other people have not cheat meal but cheat day and once a week,I do it once a month(maybe) I just cant understand how can they let themselves have that much shit taken into their body just like that, for example I eat some cranberries from market I dont know are they sweetend or not ,and I think Oh,fak is that cheat meal, then another guy says ,one pizza slice nothung special this isnt cheat meal, lol

LOL - after around 6 months of lurking around and two weeks into the 'workout at home' program, I get to associate the voice with the man :)
It might seem strange but watching El performing and hearing the voice-over makes it seem (at least to me) they're two different people.
Tomorrow I'll have my next workout (yes, I slipped one day, it should be Wed I know), looking forward to the new feeling ;-)
P.S. Daniel, thanks for your morning mobility routine, I'm loving to hate it, as you say, day in day out :-D

I love it, calisthenics movement and fitnessfaqs thank you for this video. I'm struggling with my diet and the worst think for me is the rest day 😂. I want to be honest, i don't know how to listen to my body.
Sometimes i go hard i fell tired but i also fell like i have done nothing and i used to go every day hard but it is not good. THIS IS MY ADVICE FOR PEOPLE ( I have made slow progress just because my diet it wasn't clean, haven't listened to my body, haven't had a programme to follow in long term, rushed the skills progression and i have injured my shoulder doing the full front lever raise and i wasn't able to hold even 3 seconds of straddle front lever, didn't work on my mobility, skipping the worm up and there are more.
I think i have learned a lot from calisthenics movement and fitnessfaqs, gabo saturno and the are more amazing people who are doing the good content and they don't do video just to get money from UA-cam like ( Chris heria)
Thenx was good at the beginning but now they just do it for business and don't really focus on teaching others anymore, i have nothing bad with osvaldo lugones i really respect him and he is an amazing person. Once again thank you fitnessfaqs and calisthenics movement.

20:45 Fair point Daniel, but I think what you miss from both yours and CM's videos is that no one gets to really experience the authentic people behind the scenes. Don't get me wrong, it's fantastic educational content, but it's a lot harder to connect with people who are only about information, there are no real insights into your lives. Sometimes people want to see the personality on show! Although granted, this video is a nice break from that and actually shows us a lot about our friend El Eggs.

Always good to watch the two channels that got so many of us into calisthenics! Amazing content.
Alex mentioned at some point the Golfer's Elbow injury, I am currently dealing with it and it is extremely annoying and not so easy to recover from, I'd like to know if anyone have this injury and how to overcome it, so I can be back in the bars soon! Thanks
