I think of excercises (pseudo pushups, etc.) as tools, and skills (planche, human flag, etc.) as products. Some tools are faster than others, but there's always multiple ways to achieve the end goal.
So I was interested in trying out the 4 week plan to see if I subscribe to the full program. In the mean time till I do the post prehab workout can I do my regular work outs?
@gymnasticsmethod your philosophy, technique and detailed explanations are some of the best online! Adam, you have added so much to my life and fitness. Thank you!!

@@DSPNWtoCali Honestly I find the gymnastic approach far more interesting than most programs that will only focus on statics elements of calisthenics. And maybe there's one program than fits my expectations, it's Simon Ata's program, that's around half the price of GM. Got any other names to recommend ? I'm all ears 🔥
I've been doing Gymnastic Bodies for like a year and half now, and I'm convinced it's the ultimate form of conditioning. My body looks amazing now...sure, I might be bigger if I did bodybuilding or powerlifting instead, but I'm big enough for me, I like this kind of physique, and more importantly, I love having such total body control and mobility. And what is especially important, I realize as I'm now 40, is that it's a gradual disciplined approach that builds you up over time, strengthening and protecting your joints and connective tissues.
Your comment encouraged me to check them out; problem is only three days into the seven day trial the website went down and hasn't been up for three days now. Not sure if you are experiencing this too.
You may get bigger with power lifting but it's a trade off with what your doing you have a balance of strength, control and flexibility. Imo this is much better for overall fitness and not necessarily about how your body looks and more about pushing what your body can do
I really appreciate your introducing me to Adam. While I will never be a gymnast at my age or achieve the calisthenics skills the young guys desire, Adam's basic exercise videos offer new options for my home workouts. You and he both join me at home when I'm working out. Thank you.
Between you the two of you, we’ve run out of excuses to be ignorant about the best workouts, techniques, and meaningful progression. Appreciate everything you do for the rest of us.
2 of my favorite youtubers that have helped me in my fitness journey. Thank u Dan for this podcast with Adam. I've learnt so much from u both. Keep up the great work gentlemen. Mad luv from Aotearoa NZ
I got SO much out of this episode! 👏 👏 👏 Thank you, Daniel & Adam, for the quality education! I was so inspired from just the clips of Adam doing the exercises w/ such beautiful, clean form. I’m a 47-yr-old female, and I can attest that it’s never too late to either start or restart a movement regimen. When I developed fibromyalgia several years ago, I didn’t know if I’d ever be able to regain my strength, mobility, energy, etc., but since I wasn’t dead yet, I knew that I had nothing to lose by trying-I couldn’t settle for a life where I’d be so limited and handicapped by my own inaction.I used my tenacity & resilience to keep on keeping on, and the investment into my wellness has returned dividends-we are ALWAYS worth our own time & energy! 💯 In some ways, I’m stronger & more balanced in my build than before, thanks to the calisthenics channels I follow on UA-cam. I just didn’t have the knowledge before to do better. Thanks again for such an inspiring & empowering platform for people from around the globe to benefit from! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It’s interesting seeing Daniel listening to responses and trying to digest them! There are moments where he might disagree or maybe want clarification but he just allows that space and time for the people he interviews
Gymnastics Method has one of the best best calisthenics channels on YT, so underrated. his production value is top notch, as well as his information. Loving this podcast!
The information here that is given is priceless for anyone, at any level, in any sport. It’s all about the fundamentals being performed structurally, being patient and results will come! Thanks 🔥💪🏻
Great talk. I'm 44 I do almost no bent arm Calisthenics. It's almost all strait arm skills ,Planche , Flags , Levers ,Press HS all compression skills , Maltese ,cross ect..... I only do a tad of bent arm on recovery days and lite progression. Buty carry over to bent arm skills is pretty good.
Thank you! Very informative! Finally, a detailed explanation of the difference between body weight training/calisthenics and advanced gymnastics exercises/techniques
Great interview. A few months back a friend asked me how I do the same "stretches" (she meant base calisthenics) ever day week after week. I tried to explain that I think about it as the base for the rest of my life. It makes me feel good, starts the day right, but it's also what makes it possible to hike, bike, rock climb, etc
I really enjoyed listening to this! Regular and systematic mechanical tension must be the secret to the rings gymnast physique. Training front lever and planche personally has resulted in specific adaptation and muscle growth (back, shoulders and serratus). Love the advice on building a solid foundation.
you both are very humble about your extensive experience & knowledge. thanks to both of you for sharing! hopefully, you will have another conversation to enlighten us all!! Cheers
Just absolutely fascinating stuff - a goldmine of information. I'll be honest inthat I don't really give podcasts their due as, basically, I don't have an hour for them but I'll look out for them in the future. I keep coming back to this phrase of: 'the short cut; is knowing what is needed to be done'. So much good sense in that one sentence. Shocking that you have just 400 likes and there are people dry-scooping on IG with 2.5 mil followers. Beggars belief... 🙄
No waaay!!! :D Daniel, this is a fucking dream come true and it emerged absolutelly out of nowhere. :D Adam´s chanel is absolutelly fantastic and I´m extremely glad you to decided to make this collab
Great colob guys Adams channel is great and it's definitely nice to get proper information. Only a handful of channels I watch in relation to fitness due to specific goals
Gymnastics has very specific exercises and movements with established rules and criteria for judging every movement and highly developed training routines to achieve each outcome. It is highly regulated and correographed, so can't really be compared to calestenics which will probably never achieve this level of regulation. I feel that many gymnastics movements are more for display than calesthenics. They're often very dynamic and obviously designed to be watched while with calestenics, it seems like a good part of it is "feat of strengh" - static movements like the human flag, front or back lever, planch, etc. They are more approachable though still quite difficult so satisfying to achieve.
I used to follow most gym rats and body builders here until I found and tried gymnastics and calisthenics method (body weight, a pull-up rack, and a couple of dumbells). Really effective for skinny-fat hardgainers like me to gaining muscle, improving posture, while staying lean (haven't really improved my flexibility though).
This is a pretty common parallette routine. gotta keep that butt lifted during the tuck if your on the ground. Fantastic exercise for control under load.
Interesting video ! I discovered Adam's channel few days ago and I watched a good amount of his content. I've been doing street workout for 5 years and i still learn things about the gymnastic ways ! What about nutrition? I wonder what a gymnast nutrition plan look like, because gymnast are really lean and ripped. Also, they don't seem to do a lot of cardio?
Yooo! My 2 top fitness youtubers out there together, great podcast man. If you could manage to create a podcast session with The Kneesovertoesguy, that would be truly amazing as well, a lot of unique information about bulletproofing and similar
Training like a gymnast is The best way for me, I have been coached by a pro gymnast for 9 months, and Still coaching me now, and I have been training in my home which is not so big, I progressed inmensely in every skill and got so much muscular, and when I go to train to a park people who dont know about calisthenics ask me if I am a gymnast and alos high level calisthenics athletes ask me the same, Because of my moves and my techniques, So I think taking gymnastics training method and adapt it to your goals is the best way to go.
Could you please make a video about forearm pain after doing different planche progressions, called periostitis? There's no videos about this problem in english and it's very common.

I’ve learned so much watching Adam’s videos over the past 4 months, I took the plunge and joined his Gymnastics Method program. Starting with prehab.
Is it worth the price ? Thinking about joining it cause it truly looks like quality teaching, yet I feel it's a bit overpriced...
