Dude, this video is awesome!! Super informative, well-edited, multiple camera angles, good lighting, good sound. I learned a lot in just a few minutes. Thank you very much!!!
Thank you Marcelo, I'm slowly getting better at this 😀👍
Great video, lots of good pointers, do you have a video explaining the riding set ups? Or tips there of?
Very good explanation and interesting detail adjustments.
Very good advice Albes
Great tips thanks for your video
The later F800GSs (mine's '17) have a Torx T30 pinch bolt on the shift lever. It has to be removed completely before the lever will slide off the shaft. Thanks for the videos!
Love this because I am looking at this bike as my next bike. Thanks so much. Liked and subbed. I have never been able to ride can BMW on my channel so I will come here for tips. For now =]
thx my friend never thought of the handlebar trick - no need to buy risers - thx
It is precise. Thanks.
Very useful information .... Many thanks from older rider in Australia ....
+Graham Spink any time mate
Thank you, Albe. Your video is much appreciated.
No problem Kevin 😀👍
Just adjusted my gear lever, that helps a lot, and was very easy, thx for the tip, hope you get around with playing with the 800 some time soon again, must be hard with the bikes you have to make the time, but I do enjoy your 800 vids
Yeah, between my day job, the maintenance videos, try to ride all of them and the family, not much time left to just go play around with the 800.
Thanks Albe! 😀
New subscriber. Great pointers! Thanks!
+Shawn Lalonde thanks for subscribing 👍🏼
I've put mirror extenders on my 800, the OEM mirror gave a lovely view of my shoulders, but not much else! The extenders lift the mirrors up by about 10 mm and outboard by about 25mm, doesn't sound a lot but they work surprisingly well!
+Paul Snape right now I'm looking into the RAM mirrors, infinite adjustability and customization
great vids!
Great video mate, cheers!
Thanks Ollie
Nice man! should do one of the F700GS ;)
I need to get my hands on one first
good advise...bravo
Grazie!!!
good way to be comfortable for riding... especially spending less money!
Awesome video how can you adjust suspensions sag on bmw gs f800 adventure 2017 please.
You need someone to help you measure the distance between the tail and the ground with you on and off the bike, the difference is the sag, I don't know the exact sag amount but you can find out on Google and then adjust the rear shock to achieve that value
Awesome!
Hi Albe. What about to make a video about suspension tune with/out spending money? I just find my suspension too hard at the moment and I'm looking for all ways to make it softer
Hi Dmitry Nordic , you can try to adjust the preload on the rear suspension, but unfortunately the front forks have no adjustment, the only thing you can do it's either change the springs inside, or have them re-valved. I would love to make a suspension video, but the parts are so expensive that right now I just can't, I'm going to try to contact some of the suspension companies and see if I can get a set of forks to make a video with, fingers crossed.
Hi! very good tips! Thanks! I wonder if you know which low seat is more comfortable Touratech or original? or any suggestions?
Thank you, I'm not sure, I haven't used either, so I can't really comment on it.
Hi Albe! Thanks for this great video. I’m 5ft 7in and would like to upgrade the stock handlebars. What handlebars are you using on your bike?
Hi Mototista, I'm still using the OEM
Hey Albe. Great video. I couldn't help but notice a 2nd rear tire in the background. Looked like for the F800. Did you get a 2nd set of wheels to swap tires out with? Just curious.
+Jorge Rocha yes, as a matter of fact in my next video I'm revamping those wheels, new brake disks, abs ring, cleaning, checking the spokes etc.
That is the good idea
Thanks Albe good video's. Where did you get your crash bars? Are they Wild at heart brand? or other. What did you pay if you don't mind. Thanks.
+Ed DeBolt I got them on eBay, they are Heed's crashbars, I believe I paid around $250 for it. There is a link in the description. I'm shooting a video long term review of all those accessories, stay tuned and thanks for watching.
Fantastic video; thumbs up Albe. Any way to lower the bike?
+SquidRides thank you!
Albe's Adv ww
SquidRides the bike has a suspension adjuster on the side that can raise and lower the bike up to two and a half inches
Albe ....thanx .... what do you think of that front fender....... I've seen a few action vids where a wrist sized stick has kicked up... wedging between tire and fend launching rider ..... almost.....over handlebars..dead stop..... get rid of it entirely.... move up the forks...... some kind of aftermarket......???
There is an aftermarket that moves the fender up a few inches, but if you want to go extreme you can adapt a motocross fender , it's not hard, I didn't do it because most of my riding was in the desert
Have you done a video, about making the suspension fitting your weight??
No, Not much you can adjust other than the preload in the back, to adjust for weight you either have to replace the springs or the viscosity of the oil in the forks, either way it gets expensive.
Hi Albe, quick question for you. I am considering this bike but am planning a trip through latin america. Do you know if it is possible to get this bike to operate on low octane fuel? I know through some parts of South and Central America it will be difficult to find high octane fuel.
I'm pretty sure it is, the guys at BMW told me it'll run on almost anything, when I was looking to buy it, I've ran it on 87 octane before and it did just fine. To be certain take a look at the owner's manual if you have a chance, I don't have mine handy right now
i am interested,but how my highest 165...its ok ?
Hello ! I also own f800gs with lower seat but find it quite hard which causes butt pain for long ride... I was looking for a seat cushion and saw your bike has something like cushion ha ha.. Can u tell me what brand and where I can buy or if u can recommend better one then please tell me.. Thanks
It's an Airhawk pillow, you can check it out on this video ua-cam.com/video/yToZajMFpJE/v-deo.html
I hope this helps
Hi Albe, do you have any video How to Adjust the Rear Shock Absorber on a Motorcycle F800GS?
+Jorge Perez no, not yet at least
Well we are going to wait for your good lessons, note that I can not find in youtube an exact explanation regarding our F800GS on this subject, I will be very grateful, thank you
thx on the gear shift to
+chris b spread the word 👍🏼
I wish you would have talked about the real shock adjustment.
Thanks. Any suggestions on buffeting/turbulence while riding?
The best would be a touring windscreen, the little x-creen does it for me, but I still get some turbulence.
I always feel like I am sliding forward on my 2014 F800 GSA. is there any way obvious cause for this? Thanks
I'm not sure, but maybe the seat skin lost its grip over the years or maybe the front suspension is starting to sag making the bike lean forward like a sports bike....can't really tell without looking at the bike 🤔
Albe's Adv Thanks. Seat seems good. I’ll check front suspension.
is this bike the GSA or GS?
Just the regular GS
which crasher you were using in this video
Hi Shahid, what do you mean by "Crasher"???
Albe's Adv i meant crash guard
apologies for typo
Not a problem 👍, the crash bars are "Heed", you should be able to find them on Ebay and there should be a link in the description.
@@AlbesADV hey just bought F800 used to do adjustments on my XT660R throttle position sensor. can we do the same on BMW F800 GS
It's a good bike for a 6ft6 rider?
I believe it is
I am 6’8” and it seems to fit me just fine so I can’t imagine a person this bike would be bad for, unless you’re really short and can’t reach the ground.
I am really struggling to adjust my rear suspension! This thing is not moving clockwise!I DONT KNOW WHAT to do
Are you talking about tge preload knob? Maybe is all the way open already 🤔
@@AlbesADV yea the knob for rear suspension adjustment! It's just not turning!Trying to go left and nothing!Trying to go clockwise and still nothing!Kit is not working and I'm thinking that I need a special tool or something?I don't know...
No special tool should be needed, there is a key under the seat, forward in front of the fuel pump, it's black and helps with turning the knob. But if the knob doesn't rotate smoothly it might be jammed
Such a useful tutorial, i'll use your advices for my f800! Thank you and come check my channel if you want :)
Ma allora dillo che parli italiano. Bella la f800 in arancione. 😀👍
@@AlbesADV Top lo avevo intuito fossi italiano ma parli benissimo english 👍👍
Grazie Alex

Sorry Bud, removing peg rubbers does not give you half an inch extra!
anyone in Vegas that want to go -ridding
BORAT brother ?
Yeahhh, well. Honestly a whole lot of talking with pretty little info. Lets be honest here- You probably click this video, because you can't sufficiently reach the ground as a result of vertical deficits of your body. Well I did. And no remedy was provided here. At least none "without spending money", thus I'm calling click bait on this one. I mean, who wouldn't think of undoing the controls and putting them back on.
