    I live in the USA and never heard of HEED. I love the crash bar so looked them up and ordered a set for my F800GS. 4 days later I had them. It's crazy it only took 4 days to go from Poland to South Dakota. Took off my SW-Motech and installed the HEED. Thanks for posting this.

      Those are great crashbars, I liked them so much I installed them on my Africa Twin as well 👍

    Awesome video!! Here in Brazil some of the accessories are not cheap, especially the exhaust. Anyways, I was wondering how you tune your suspension - I know that the F800 stock suspension is not that tunable but still we can turn it hard or soft and add some pre-load. Thanks and keep up with the great videos!

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  3 роки тому +1

      I just cranked the pre-load up on the rear and that's it. The suspension are not that great

      The suspension is definitely a weak point of this bike, well done 😀👍

    Great video Albe. Just one doubt whats the purpose of the self made bar on the handle bar?

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Augustin, it reinforces and stiffens the handlebars a little, but I put it there mainly because I like the way it looks 👍

    Hi there Albe. Nice setup. You didn't add a rear suspension reinforcement for off road ? I've read on forum that this is the major flaw off the F800GS : Rear shock bolt may bend if you bottom up suspension on heavy off road use (in worse case the frame itself).

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  3 роки тому

      I haven’t upgraded the suspensions yet, I just cranked up the preload and yes the F800GS suspension is the bike weak link

    May I know the brand and product name of your steering damper ? And I am using Rox bar raiser. Can I use the damper together with this bar raiser ? I heard that you said the damper also raises a bit of steering bar position...

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  3 роки тому

      Hi Eric, mine it’s a Scotts damper valved for off-road and the bracket does raise the bars. You can take a look at the installation video ua-cam.com/video/1tOb90szCbc/v-deo.html

    Hello, Just purchased a new to me 2017 F 800 GS Trophy edition. Your videos helped me make this decision. I have a quick question for you. My engine temp is displayed on the instrument panel. When my bike idles for a few minutes the engine temp gets as high as 220 degrees. The fan comes on and the temperature goes back down to 185. While riding the engine temperature sits at 184-186. Are these normal engine temperature ranges for this bike. The outside air temp was 82 degrees when I took these measurements.

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  3 роки тому +1

      Hi C fish, I’ve never payed attention to the actual number, my temperature stays around 3 to 4 bars, usually 4 in traffic and 3 on the open road.
      If you are not getting the warning light you should be ok, but there are a few things I would do since the bike is used. 1 check the coolant level. 2 make sure the water pump is running (you should be able to hear it going with a mechanic stethoscope or a long screw driver with the handle against your ear)

      Thanks Albe. Love your videos. Lol my father taught me that trick with a screw driver 50 years ago. I’ve checked it all. Everything is where it should be. Thank you for the reply. Looking forward to more videos. Do you still have your f 800?

      Looking forward to that video. There’s a group of us riding from North Carolina to the arctic circle summer of 2022. I bought this bike just for this trip. Got tired of waiting for the Tenere 700 to make it to the dealers. Definitely want to see your touring setup. Safe riding.

    I have had mine for 3 years. It is too heavy rough dirt roads and not workable at all on rough roads. The new 850 is going the wrong way. We don't need more power and heavier, we need to hold the line on power and make the bikes lighter and EASIER TO SERVICE.

      @@AlbesADV best design ever. Why do you think the Dakar bikes are built like that? Low down centre of gravity, it's been tried and tested over and over to withstand the most harshest conditions and impacts. It works.

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  3 роки тому +3

      I’m pretty sure it does, but since I’m not competing, I’ll take something that performs a little less but won’t bother me every time I look at it

      @@AlbesADV you are so fuckin' right man! Hate that 790 adv R super low tank. Great looking bike by the way. Ps/ Do you think it is possible to eliminate the low front fender from your bike, in order to make it look more off roady?

    • @AlbesADV
      @AlbesADV  3 роки тому +1

      @andresmg7 hi Andresmg7, yes, I’ve seen F800s without the front fender, but if you get in mud it’s going to get in every little nook and cranny up in there, I would maybe lift it up an inch or 2 or cut the tip off on the part that extends forward of the forks. 😀👍
