Thank you for your professionalism. I am a retired controller from ZDC where I worked for 35 years. My son now is becoming a pilot in the USAF and my daughter a controller. Aviation life is the best!
Flight student crew where you at? Give a like if you're about to start flight school.
if I had enough money😕
Did you ever finish flight school and if so just you go up to commercial private or CFI ?
What’s it really like to be an airline pilot? I can tell you, because I was one. Many early starts and late finishes. Regular testing, checking and medicals. Hours of boredom, immobile in a confined space with someone you hardly know or may never have met, interspersed with moments of terror every now when something fails. Poor diet. Job insecurity. Missing many family events. Unstable rostering with last minute changes. Flying in horrendous weather when you would rather not. Terms and conditions much worse than they were 10-15 years ago. Lack of respect from management, passengers and most of all airport security. I could go on ......
Would you not recommend being a pilot?
@@kasengrucholski2240No that’s why there is a shortage, if you’ll be a pilot just be a truck driver lol
Buddy you literally became a pilot for the wrong reasons it seems. The negativity surrounding you is horrendous. Nothing positive, only negatives I read there.
Arthur...Sorry my friend but you must have had a bad experience as an airline pilot (maybe a subpar carrier). I just retired as a Captain for United Airlines (and retired USAF fighter pilot) and I can say that it is a fantastic job. Does it have its shortcomings, just like any job...yes. BUT, the average captain is paid over $300k per year plus retirement and benefits (First Officer making over &100k in their second year). Lots of great experiences world wide, fun place to see, interesting people to meet, and every day is different. Arthur, you accentuate the negative when you should be uplifting the positive. Not many people can make 200,000 to 500,000 per year EVERY year for a great job, and you whine about a few inconveniences. Sad.
To all the young people seeing this...go to your local airport and get a few introductory flying lessons to see if this is right for you. You will become obsessed.
@@hearle1196 Thank you for highlighting the benefits to this career! As a student pilot myself in my first year of flight training, I’m still learning the shortcomings of this career (of which there are many, like most jobs), and it’s refreshing to see something from an experienced captain like yourself who can provide a valuable piece of advice to people about the beauty of an aviation career.
When i become a man im gonna be a pilot nice speech
This guy walks on water too 😉
Great speech
This is a great satire piece!
Wish your children successful careers.
thank you for the great video sir!!! very very inspirational!
Arthur T nailed it, this is the capt that F/O’s book off sick because of. Lol, dude, I mean, captain my captain, hang up the uniform and enjoy retirement.
Well said captain
Awesome
Whatever you sale I will by great presentation
Bro said VELLAWG
being pilot is expensive
Ha ha...If you spend $100,000 in a year getting your ratings, you will pay that off in less than 5 years of being a pilot. AND...you will make a high 6 figure salary, plus 401K retirement for the rest of your life. A first year first officer for United on a 737 or Airbus makes almost $100k. I just retired as a United Captain and cannot recommend more highly a young person getting into the pilot profession. Great job with lots of pay and benefits.
So does any professional career ,, doctor or lawyer is triple that ,, or even undergraduate degree now is that much or more in some colleges ,,, welcome to USA 🇺🇸 the land Of crimes and debts 😂
6 years and he’s flying a wide body? Hmmm
What a silly piece of satire. Just for those whp aren't sure and (I could see there's few you in the comments) the reality isn't at all like the way he's describing. I'm in the middle of flight school and I know exactly how it is.
How is it?
Lol the guy who doesn’t have a lick of experience is speaking
