For me the one thing you left off your list is, the view from the cockpit window. I never get tired of it, mountains, forests, city or coasts whatever it’s still great!

Garrett, love your channel and subscribed. I'm a former Chicago based FA. I miss the camaraderie with my co-workers, both fellow FA's and cockpit crew. On one of my last trips, I was working in the back on the 737. Before boarding my colleague and I were getting the galley ready and stocking the carts. The Captain came back and introduced himself and the three of us chatted for a few minutes. It happened to be his last trip before retirement. He was so professional and classy. Miss those days.
In 141 program at KLEX, love the airport.

I think our ability to diversify is an amazing benefit. Much to the ire of both my aviation and agriculture friends, I always say "I have the best two part time jobs that exist." They are both very hard jobs that require much more than the standard effort, but the way they time out, it's possible to do both.

Would you recommend training with a local flight school that offers 141 or joining a cadet program out of state with piedmont?

I was wondering what the best major us carrier is that cares about pilots because I'm going to be a pilot in like 5ish years and want to know what airline treats their pilots the best and you dont have to worry about being furloughed if you have been there for a couple of years

You can check that webiste to see salaries and other benefits.
Within the US, with something like covid, demand for travel is very low which means the airlines dont need the amount of workers they once had because that will create too much cost for a low travelling and working capacity. Any airline you work for you are likely to be furloughed in these situations. However They will start furloughing those who have lower seniority, which are those persons who have not been in the company for too long. So seniority is a very good thing to hold as he said!

Hey I was wondering when you do a day or 2 trip do you have multiple pairs of shirts/pants or do you have to do laundry at an overnight?
He washes his shirt at the hotel sink, first thing, wrings it dry with the hotel issue towel and then hangs it on the fan for good measure. Hygiene is key.

You are definitely able to choose the airline you want to work for! As it relates to your airplane choice, you can choose based on priority list of what you want but sometimes due to circumstances they might have to assign you to one.
They assign your base and type based on need

I want to be an airline pilot. The problem is the cost of the flight training. I know there is Part 141 flight training programs available but they are super expensive. Above 80,000 dollars is quite a lot. It will take me a long time to make the budget and pay for that. I would love to know alternatives to this.
I don’t know much about it so forgive me if my explanation is a bit off, but you might want to consider joining the Air Force or the Air National Guard (basically part-time military), before eventually transitioning to a commercial airline company. That way, the military can cover the cost of your education/loans and you’ll have something to fall back on when you’re forced to retire from a commercial company when you’re 60. I’d imagine it’s much easier to land a job working for the military or the government if you’re ex-military, even if you’re past the mandatory retirement age for active-duty military members. It’s certainly worth looking into.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that you could get a pension as well if you stay in the military long enough!

Seniority is everything. Everything is seniority....No deadheading after my job..Not into flying into Washington National.. Also wonder everyday why did San Diego build that parking garage so close..People need to understand show up late you are costing the crew money..
