    I'm glad I saw this. My Foam filters had disintegrated and I could not find replacements. Thank you

    When my Dyson battery died, I remembered Frank showed us how to change it, and no worries. Although these are easy fixes, it helps to know about hidden clips and such. I have a couple cheap pry tool sets which I use for all sorts of things, and I recommend getting one. I didn't know you played guitar.😮 Thanks as always for the video and be well.😁

      😁 Thanks Chris, I think you need to know where all the little clips are, or you end up with with just a pile of broken plastic bits... which ends up costing you more money 😁. I have had a couple of guitars in the past... but gave that up because I was rubbish at it, so now I use the pics for things I can do 🤣. Thanks for watching Chris and a happy new year to you and yours 😁👍

    I love these sort of videos.
    Thank you.
    I didn't know you could get a HEPA filter for the v6.
    Would you say you notice alot of difference?

      @Bikerboy2023Today 😁 Hi Tony, I don't think you honestly "notice" the difference because it's the very very fine particles that the HEPA filter deals with. These are the particles that do the damage "because" you don't notice them. So you have to rely on just knowing the filter is doing its thing. Watch my video on the air quality meter, it may explain it in a bit more detail 😁. Thanks for watching 😁👍

    Great video but... the chances of those 3rd party rear filters really being HEPA grade are slim to sod all. It's probably still worth doing just to make cleaning out the rear filters easier.

      @xRepoUKx 😁 Thanks Repo, your probably right. But it's got to be better than the original foam filter that was in it 😁. Thanks for watching 😁 👍

    Hi Frank, Happy New Year to you. Great vid as always. My Dyson cuts out when it detects that the filter needs cleaned and the instruction book says to wash it and make sure it is completely dry which takes forever, so my solution is to take it out to my workshop and give it a good suck with my henry shop vac and you can put it back on to the machine and carry on with your chores.

      😁 Happy new year to you Tom 😁. I'm lucky that I have a rather good compressor so I can normally give them a good blow out (but my compressor needs some attention at the moment). But I think this HEPA filter is a great upgrade for my V6 😁. Thanks for watching 😁 👍

    The kit I ordered came with some kind of black plastic "deflector" that i think is supposed to sit over the board. I can't seem to get it to fit though. Is it not required...?!

    • @views4070
      @views4070 4 місяці тому

      Ah, ignore that! Repositioned the cables a little and got the deflector to snap in place and then put the cables back on top. Thanks for the video!

      @views4070 😆😆 Excellent 😁. I don't think I even got a deflector in my kit 🤔. It must have been a later addition. Glad you got it sorted. Thanks for watching 😁 👍

    I just inherited a dyson v6 animal from my Mum. It works for about a minute seemingly with good suction, then just cuts out. Do you think it’s the battery. Also, that top little filter just drops out if turned upside down. I wonder what keeps them in usually. Any ideas please?

    • @frankslittleworkshop
      @frankslittleworkshop  3 місяці тому +1

      @deborahraaen3059 😁 Hi Debbie. My one would cut out then on again. But after a battery change it was all good. You could always remove the battery and see if you can check the connections and if you can check the Voltage. I think the top filter is held in place with an o ring. If this is old and perished or missing it will drop out. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching 😁 👍

    Nice to see where those tabs and clips are - broken so many things in the past. Why can't these ace designers show where they are?

    • @frankslittleworkshop
      @frankslittleworkshop  11 місяців тому

      😁As with most things today, the idea is to design them so they are quick to assemble (so production is cheap). And harder to disassemble (if you brake it you need to buy new components.... from the manufacturer). So from the manufacturers perspective its good design, so its up to us consumers to share what knowledge we have to save us all money 😁. Thanks for watching Ben 😁👍
