@@zeetta 😁 Thanks Zeetta, I'm still loving mine. It's so much better than the old corded one I was using previously 😁. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Thank you so much. Where can I see how to calibrate de distance to place the laser? Great videos
Hi Jose, i don't think i cover that in this video. But I do show you how in my latest video on the Alpha MK2 :- ua-cam.com/video/tZjhcpjRoW0/v-deo.htmlsi=kEL9fFD-mtTX5-l8 At about 41 minutes in, the principle is the same. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching 😁👍

@leecornwall8381 😆😆 Thanks Lee. I don't think enough people would have a clue who I am 😆😆. But thanks anyway 😁. And thanks very much for watching 😁👍
👍👍great review and video mate and endless possibilities, I’ve joined your club Frank 😂 cheers Rob
@WeekendShedHead 😁 Thanks Rob, yes, I now have 40 Watt laser envy because of you 😆😆😆. Thanks for watching mate 😁 👍
Excellent video - thank you. You’ve made me want to buy one!
😁 Thanks Mark. I'm glad i got it. It definitely gives you that added level of security. I still use mine every day 😁. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
A question Frank: do you use your Disklok at all times - even a quick trip to the shops? Lots of cars are stolen off driveways, so overnight use of the Disklok makes sense. But is it a bit big, heavy, and cumbersome for short shopping trips? Incidentally, made a point of checking lots of cars parked at my local supermarket; didn’t see a single Disklok! Lots of Stoplocks, but no Diskloks.
Hi Mark, I mainly only use mine over night on my driveway. It's not really suited for use when your just popping in to the shops. Having said that, it takes me less than 15 seconds to fit it when I do. So in theory I could use it all the time. Hope that helps 😁👍
Yes, thank you, Frank. I’m considering a Disklok for overnight use on the drive and a Stoplock for shopping trips! (Could be costly! 😂)
A other interesting video Frank. Keep them coming, Cheers
@alastairwallis9499 😁 Thanks Alastair, hopefully more on the way.... as soon as I can get back out in the workshop 😆. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
All my woodwork I am making with WoodPrix. Google and try it.
So you cannot use mobile phone unless the driver is installed on the pc? Is that so?
@@holybebermudez8657 hi Holybe. You should be able to connect the DIY kit directly to the Algolaser app. As long as your mobile device is connected to your WiFi and the DIY kit is powered up (the app will search for devices). Hope that helps. Thanks for watching 😁👍
That is a great cabinet Frank! Nice one!
@JiggsysShed 😁 Thanks Jiggsy. I now have an extension kit for my latest laser... I hope the cabinet is wide enough 😆😆. Thanks for watching mate 😁 👍
@frankslittleworkshop 🤣🤣 always the problem. We purpose build something and then we add more
@JiggsysShed 😁 In theory it should fit, as I did make it to fit the extension kit for my older laser.... but my new one is slightly longer. Fingers crossed it still fits 🤞
Hi Frank, I have just bought a load of various blades made by Pegasus from Axminster direct they were a bargain and free postage just thought I would let you know.
@janicemurray7655 😁 Thanks Janice. Always good to know of reliable places to get consumables from. And I think Axminster are one of the good ones 😁. Thanks for watching 😁 👍.
My wife used these plans from WoodPrix and she's very satisfied.
Whilst I'm not in the market for a laser, I am grateful for the fact that I can keep up with the technology thanks to very detailed videos like this. Thanks Frank.
@benjaqsonworkshop9974 😁 Thanks Ben. It's always good to know what is out there. For the kind of things I do in my workshop, a laser is another tool that allows me to do some interesting stuff 😁. Thanks for watching Ben 😁👍
If you check the spec of this laser it's 5 - 20 Watts optical power so, not actually a 20W laser at all. That's why it look slow!
🤔 Sorry Richard, I don't understand the comment ?
👍Another good step by step tutorial. Stay warm and dry if you can.👍
@cportage556 😁 Thanks Chris. Sorry it's a bit long. But I hope it was informative 😁. There's not much "Warm and dry" available at the moment, but I'll try my best 😆😆. Thanks for watching mate 😁👍
Hi Frank, A new laser from Algolaser, Looks a good one and pretty straight forward to set up A 20 watt laser is this a good improvement on your other laser. By the look of this laser the is less burn on the wood and looks a lot clear. Very impressive you must be happy with it. As always a great video, catch you soon Take care😁👍
@shaun30-3-mg9zs 😁 Hi Shaun. Hope you are well 😁. The actual laser is four times the power of either of my other lasers, so that's a massive improvement. And the frame is much more sturdy, so less flex. I can't wait to start some bigger projects on it. As always, thanks for watching mate 😁👍
I will.watch in the morning got to be up at 5_30am👍
@rodharris2915 😆😆 Sorry Rod 😆. It's a bit of an epic video. You may have to consume it in bite size pieces 😆😆. Or just leave it running in the background, it will help you sleep 😆😆. Thanks mate 😁👍
Good demo Frank, have to get rid of your mannerism OK.🙊we all have them👍🏻
@thomaspurvey 😁 I'm sure my "OK" mannerisms will disappear on the day that I'm not exceptionally nervous in front of a camera. Saying OK stops me from stuttering or just freezing up. So I guess I'm stuck with it for now 😆. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
@@frankslittleworkshop I know that feeling only too well Frank your delivery worked for me I've just bought one today, Many Thanks 👍
I have one of these. Is the spool mechanism supposed to rattle? I'm thinking it has a problem and I should return it. The thing also keeps stopping every few seconds under load.
@cathyashwood1494 🤔 Hi Cathy, I suggest you return it as soon as possible. It shouldn't rattle or cut out. If you have only just got it you should be able to return it either to the store where you purchased it, or directly back to Stanley. My one is still going strong with no rattles or cutting out. Good luck with your return. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
@@frankslittleworkshop thanks so much Frank, I talked to Stanley and I rang the supplier today. They're going to send it to their agent and give me a replacement so I am very happy about that!! Would be lost without it :) ... great video too, very informative!
@cathyashwood1494 😁 Excellent. Well done. All we need now is a bit of sunshine to make the grass grow 🤣🤣. Thanks Cathy 😁👍
@@frankslittleworkshop thanks again Frank. I've just been down to the shop and they reneged on their promise and said they have to send it away. Talked about 'if there's any cost to me' which is outrageous as it's got a 3 year warranty. It could be weeks before a resolve. Not happy today, but we'll see.
@cathyashwood1494 🤔 That sounds a bit off ☹️. I'm not an expert but as far as I'm concerned there shouldn't be any cost to you. Please let me know the outcome. I hope it works out OK. Sorry your experience hasn't been as good as mine ☹️
Yeh Useful Thanks
@osmildmay 😁 Thanks Oliver, and thanks for watching 😁 👍
Shame there is no height adjustment on that jig so no good if i wanted to use it to joining 38mm timber as the holes would be too close to the edge and not centred
If I had a quid for every time you said "okay" I would be able to afford an AC400. A very informative video which told me everything that I wanted to know before purchasing one, my issue is that I can't mount it as intended because my shed/workshop celling is too low so thinking of wall mounting on it's side but I've no idea if that would be good. Thanks for the video.
@Crazy_Dave 😁 Hi Dave. I know what you mean about lack of space ☹️. I know it's not recommended, but they can be mounted on the side (as long as you don't obstruct the inlet or outlet). I seem to remember "Badger workshop" (here on UA-cam) had he's one mounted on its side. Possibly have a look at his videos. I'll see if I can find a link 😁. Thanks for watching Dave 😁👍

The lid with all the drill bits on fell of after just one opening.
🤔 That's a surprise. I would send it back if I were you 🤔. I've been using mine for 5 years and it's still perfect. If the case is faulty you should be entitled to a refund or an exchange if it was the first time you opened it. Let me know how you get on with your return. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
Thanks for the video. I have a similar issue which I narrowed down to the X axis. However, I assumed that the drive belt is the cause and have ordered replacement belts. The equipment is only eight months old and I only use it as a hobby so not overworked at all. I shall try it out with the new belts. If it has not solved the problem, I intend to contact support. Thanks once again
@jollyjack1234 😁 Thanks Mel. Hopefully the belts will resolve the issue. But I must admit I have never had any real problems with belts on these open frame machines. Let me know how you get on. Thanks very much for watching 😁👍

🤔 Sorry Alistair but I have no idea how much clearance is on a paddle shift vehicle. I can only suggest you contact Diskloc directly. Thanks 😁
Hi ! i've seen in some other videos this particular Temtop is a very well performing for its price device BUT highly probable to fail with time ! is yours still working properly after 2 years ? thank you !
@funkiEst 😁 Hi funkiest, the quick answer to your question is "yes" it is still working perfectly 😁. I leave it on continually in the workshop so it is always displaying. I give it a clean regularly with a small soft brush or a gentle blow with air just to keep it dust free. It's still working great after all this time... hope that helps. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
@@frankslittleworkshop It definitely helps ! that's great to know because the price difference is not small with its performance range competitors... i will seriously take in consideration ! i think it's comercialized under different chinese brands... i'm also considering the amazon one which is much more expensive actually but... maybe second hand... the main reason is the amazon can also detect CO and here wer are having a neighbour heating/combustion filtering serious problem... THANKS A LOT and keep that monitor alive ! haha
Really excellent! Yes, agreed, now that someone has come up with the idea we can all improve it such as with a stop at the back to prevent the sled from traveling further than where the blade just touches the fence. An adjustable stop would also allow one to cut band saw boxes or inside cuts by stopping the cut before the fence. Very useful and extremely well narrated and presented. Thank you for the idea. Subscribed!
@colinmcdonald7591 😁 Thank you very much Colin 😁. I 100% agree, a back stop is really needed. This one has suffered quite a few battle scars now so I think a Mk2 version is needed. Thanks so much for watching 😁👍
Yep, there is little point building this sort of stuff except for the fun. So if you need it now, or have other things you'd rather be making, just buy they damn thing :) Worth the watch for the last 10 seconds of floofy cuteness :D
😆 Thanks James. I'm glad I didn't build it from scratch now. As they are getting bigger, the "Floofy cuteness" has been replaced by a manic "Feline frenzy" , everything in the house is getting destroyed by the little besties 😆😆. Thanks for watching James 😁👍

@handyjim 😁 It is a good thing indeed Jim 😁. And apparently it makes me a professional 😆😆. Thanks for watching mate 😁 👍
Hi Frank, Just the thing you need in the workshop, better than having extension cables all over the workbench and a tripping hazard on the floor. 15 metres is a good length for most workshops better than 15 ft on the instructions. looks solid and well built and a good retraction on the cable, Great video catch you soon Take care
@shaun30-3-mg9zs 😁 Thanks Shaun. I have enough trouble with tripping over stuff in the workshop, so I'm trying to keep the floor as clear as possible... and this works a treat. I'm glad it wasn't 15 feet... that would have been a bit useless 😆. Thanks for watching mate 😁 👍
Looks like a good purchase there frank👍.thankfully I can keep my wallet closed for this one lol I only have a 18x10 shed and 8 double sockets dotted around thanks for sharing though 👍👍
@@rodharris2915 😆 I'm sure you could make use of one Rod. My workshop is not as wide as yours and only about three feet longer. But this will make my life just that little bit easier 😁. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Hey Frank......they are fab.....I have one in each workshop...... They are just so useful.....I much prefer them to normal cable reels but they seem to be heftry in price still....... I have run everything from a mixer to a welder on it......fab..... thanks as always for the videos and content.
@adam-qf2vz 😁 Thanks Adam. I am tempted to get another one for my shed so I can pull it out in to the garden, but as you say, they can be a bit pricey. But I will get my moneys worth out of this one in the workshop. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Looks like a nice bit of kit, personally I would do a continuity test on the earth bond to make sure it's actually connected
@xlfive 😃 That's actually good advice Gaz. I'll check that out tomorrow (just to be on the safe side). Thanks for watching mate 😁👍
looks a sturdy well made bit of kit. the square looks like a single electric socket that has been blanked off?
@rasmo243 😁 Thanks mate. Yep, it feels like it's got quite a bit of life in it. It feels like it's more than sturdy enough to take all that I can throw at it. I think the square is an old header from where the old garage door was. I think I previously went across to the opposite wall. Where the square is was previously an outside wall, so not likely an electrical outlet. Thanks for watching as always 😁👍
Omg this was brilliant I have just got this scroll saw read the instructions but your video was by far more informative you should send this to Clarke's and they should add link of your video to instructions thank you so much I feel more confident to use the scroll saw xxx
@janicemurray7655 😁 Thank you so much Janice for your kind words ☺️. I'm just glad you found it of some help. I don't suppose Clarke's even know I exist, so I don't think they would be interested in any of my videos. But as long as my videos help people get the most out of their tools, then I'm a happy chappy 😁. Thanks so much for watching Janice 😁 👍
Thanks👍
3HP is fine on a 13A supply. It`s just the initial inrush of current that might be a bit high. 3HP is about 2250W and a 13A supply should be okay up to about 4800W. So you should be well in. If it blows a fuse on start up then you can get slow blow 13A fuses.
@limpet9 😁 Hi Limpet, it has been OK on the 13A (I haven't used it much recently). But I will eventually get a 16A socket installed. Until then I am avoiding any heavy use and always ensure other current hungry devices on the same ring are off (heaters etc). So I am always mindful of the current draw 😁. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
Well done!
@scott-jc5nd 😁 Thanks Scott 😁. Thanks very much for watching 😁👍
Ooh it's so tempting. I really don't think I could put it anywhere that wouldn't make it more awkward than it is just now without re-siting the compressor. But that 10mts would reach all four car tyres... Thanks for showing it.
😁 Thanks Ben. It works great in my workshop. But I know what you mean. It may not be suited for every workshop. Thanks for watching Ben 😁👍

Just found your channel. Very good video. A few questions... Is this brushless and does it have all-metal gearing? And where did you get the OPM range of 800-20000 from? As the Toolstation listing says 8000-12000. Many thanks.
@@NigeWheeler 😃 Hi Nige, welcome to my channel 😁. Yes, all of the V20 cases have carry handles. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
Hi Frank. Thank you for your very quick response. I did actually find out this information separately and edited my question to ask different things. Sorry that the original question still got through to you. My edited question was: "A few questions... Is this brushless and does it have all-metal gearing? And where did you get the OPM range of 800-20000 from? As the Toolstation listing says 8000-12000. Many thanks."
I have this model. My mud guard can't go in all the way so it usually falls off when i knock it, otherwise, a nice trimmer.
@porkbone42 🤔 That's a bit strange. If it is a defect then you are entitled to return or exchange it (if you have only had it a short while). I know it's hassle sending it back but it may be worth a try. Mine is still the best strimmer I have owned so I'm more than happy with it 😁. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
I have the same hose Frank the 15m version and i can reach everywhere 😂 in both rooms and the outside 😂 i think its perfect.
@karlpopewoodcraft 😁 Thanks Karl, it's looking good so far. I was going to get the 15m, but in reality, I wouldn't use it. But I do have another hose (another 10 meters) with the same fittings. So if I need it I'll just connect the two. But for in the workshop this is perfect 😁. Thanks for watching mate 😁👍.
Hi Frank, Looks a decent air line, good demonstration and fitting it. This is one thing I've been pondering on do I or don't I. Brilliant for spaying , blowing dust away or topping up air in your tyer's. As always a great video, catch you soon Take care
@shaun30-3-mg9zs 😁 Thanks Shaun. I would recommend getting one (especially in a workshop my size). The last thing you need is to be tripping over airlines. When it retracts it well out of the way 😁. Thanks for watching mate 👍

Very nice Frank.. great review and demo , I definitely need a retractable, will save me loads of time and space !! It’s going on the never ending list 😂 cheers mate
@WeekendShedHead 😁 Thanks Rob. Keep an eye out in Aldi.... my old one was a workzone one which lasted me about 6 years. It was fantastic for the money. If I didn't need one quickly I would have waited for them to be back in store. You never know "Parkside" may do one soon 😆. Thanks for watching mate 😁👍
@@frankslittleworkshopWill do 😃 cheers mate
Hey Frank....thanks for the video..... the only issue I have with these small line retractable hoses is that they restrict the air flow...... But for blowing off and tyre inflating they are ok...... I had a similar line which I had for general use and to connect to my sandblaster...... so it really restricted the operation......changed for a larger flow line.........you have a decent compressor so it seems a shame to use such a small line? Thanks for the content and of course your time producing these excellent videos!
@adam-qf2vz 😃 Hi Adam, your 100% correct. For heavy consumption tools, the air flow restriction would be an issue. For general workshop use (for me) this is just perfect because it's handy. If I need more flow I will just use the other hose that I have connected as it is a slightly larger bore 😁. Thanks for your comment, and thanks for watching 😁 👍
