I play the piano. I always had a suspicion that the piano was designed from an African instrument. Here we go along with the kalimba. As a woman of the African diaspora, I look forward to creating music with this beautiful instrument.
piano descends from the harpsichord and organ, as is of western lineage. The mbira came out of I believe southern Africa. Two beautiful but very different musical cultures.
If we can point to a non-European ancestor for the modern piano, (or even Cristofori's ancient pianoforte), the best choice is the Dulcimer of Persian origin. Both are stringed instruments, and they use hammers to strike the strings, which are fixed in an appropriate acoustic box. The Harpsichord, on the other hand, is more related to the Psalter: they don't use hammers, so the strings are plucked with a plectrum.
For those of you replying on how we can't relate this to the western piano - what is extremely obvious is that ideas for instruments like the xylophone were taken from the African Balafon.
any additional info regarding this 'hidden worlds' , why are they hidden?, who are they ?, is there some sort of communication method ?, any evidence ?
Hidden worlds are the worlds were the spirits live after death meaning the heavens its God's curse to hide the worlds from the living people but the wolrds are living as the God lives in shona culture you can understand a lot through those mbira beats they say a lot of things the heavens wish for like peace, happiness, and everjoy of the earth

@@rozam.j9308I'm shocked to discover Westerners are calling it Kalimba. This is extensively a Zimbabwe shona tribe instrument and it is and has always been called Mbira Our ancestors must be rolling in their graves 😢😭😭

It's called Mbira the instrument it's over 1000 years old, and some of the melodies played in alot of the songs on youtube are just as old
Piano is a string instrument. It comes from the bow.
