I wish there were a way that I could send words to Forward Kwenda personally, telling him that the music his voice, fingers and heart steward make my life more worth living and remind me of the way that I'm not alone, that my life is held up and made possible by my ancestors, by the ancient ground and water, even though I don't speak the language he sings in. Here in the USA, many of us are talking about how we are in the midst of a Cold Civil war, a battle which is more spiritual than physical (at least for the time being). I also agree that even if the Cold Civil War becomes an actual armed conflict, that conflict will ultimately still be a spiritual war.
