What's crazy is, this was the last time the Raiders have beaten Washington at home. True story. They have won in DC in 1992, 1995, and 2005 but lost at home in 1998, 2009, 2013, and 2021.
@@rickstalentedtongue910 What are you even talking about? This is not made up stuff I'm talking about. They started to suck under Al Davis. This is fact, not fiction. It's not disrespect to Al either. It's FACT.
I don't know if it's me but the football field seems smaller back then, I watch a lot of older football games and even the worst defense rated in the league is nothing compared to the worst defense nowadays unfortunately it's been the Raiders. feel like the DB's play off a lot nowadays, watching the old games and they talk about tough quarterbacks nowadays the hits they take, love the old games at least when the quarterback runs there's not a flag always like nowadays 🍻
If we didn't start he season with Shan-a rat at coach we would have made the playoffs with Shell. AL Davis took chances on some crazy coaches, "rat", Kiffen, Turner, Mike White, Joe Bugel....what a list. I missed Madden, Flores. Shell was okay and Gruden 1 was good...we'll see on Gruden 2, Shell 2 was insanely gruesome to watch.
the game you're referring to is the 1993 season finale and I have it up on my twitter acct (@RaiderClassics). Simply request a follow and once I approve it, you'll be able to watch it.
Man… If only Darrell Green was playing this game… we would have had one of the best speed showdowns ever. Lol! Could Green have caught Bo on that run… 🤔🤔
Thanks for upload this game, Raider Classics. Keep with the great work. Do you have the 1983 week 16 Chargers-Raiders game & if so can you please upload it when you have time?
Sure man. Glad u like the channel. Unfortunately I don't, but I got a few connects who might have it. I'll ask them. Most of my connects don't know how to transfer the games from DVD to digital so they'll send me the discs and then I send it back. The recent KC games I posted was from one of my subscribers who sent me the games on discs and I transferred them.
@@RaiderClassics Ok. If they have the game, can you please transfer it from DVD to digital and upload it to your UA-cam channel when you have time? Maybe, but I did liked Steve Beuerlein and Jeff Hostetler and if Todd Marinovich had kept his nose clean then maybe, he had talent. Bad luck, bad decisions who knows. It all started with the so called Stabler's replacement Mark Wilson, geeshe Jim Plunkett saved us for a while. As far as stacked talent absolutely we had that.
1:19:17 how did they NOT call Bo for illegal procedure??? His hand is on the ground and he picks it up and starts left... crazy... and Charles mann had ZERO chance in the open field... LOL
It's no different than any man in motion. WR's used to line up in a 3 pt stance and then go in motion...as long as they're not moving forward past the line of scrimmage, it's legal. No difference than ghost motion you see on the fake reverses.
Al Davis RUINED this teams chances first with Marc Wilson (TRASH) and then with Schroeder (HOT GARBAGE). He WASTED all those great defenses with his need for a deep passer... Wilson had STD's (scared to deaths) and Schroeder was just terrible... and this is all the fault of one person... Al Davis!!! He could definitely find defensive, OL and skill position talent... but when it came to QB's he was HORRIBLE... lest we not forget Jamarcus Russell!!! sheesh...
doclew28 And with garbage QB’s(Wilson/Schroeder)Al compounded the problem by not just playing conservative and leaning on Allen/Jackson and our great defense’s year after year of course not..and by not just sticking with Beurlein who was a 4th round that we’re paying peanuts at first for good production..his fascination with Schroeder also cost us an All-Pro LT in Jim Lachey!🤦🏻♂️ Regardless Al would see to it that not only those sh**y QB’s played..but that they also put the the friggin ball up 30+ times a game most of the time no matter the opponent or even the situation within games as if they were Marino or Elway..the friggin irony was we had better all-around TEAMS than those QB’s had! We didn’t NEED to play that way to win! After 83 Plunkett was broken..he needed to be protected..the offense should’ve been conservative to keep him on the field..needed to be turned over to Allen/Christiansen and that great defense..instead we were still taking 7-8 step drops and trying to not only force the ball down the field vertically as usual..but also spread the offense around! Again we had the best tailback/Tight-end combo in the league and a top 5 defense every year! We didn’t NEED to do any of that s**t!
@@scottbuono2507 correct!!! I love watching these old games from my high school years. But it pisses me off at the same time. Al TRIED to get Elway. But he also PASSED on Marino AND Aaron Rogers... he picked Fabian friggin Wachington over Rogers!!! Grrrrrrr...🤬🤬🤬
Al was really never good at picking QB's. He loved Lamonica....didn't want to start Stabler because he didn't like his arm...Madden made the decision to start Snake. There's a laundry list of drafted QBs he missed on. But Al hit on about everything else.
Chris Gibson Don’t forget guy’s Ron Wolf left after the 1990 season(which should’ve never been allowed to happen)how the f**k do you let a guy that’s stood side by side with you for 25 years helping you build at that time one of the most successful franchises in pro sports as your head of personnel and then just let him leave as if he was just another employee and go rebuild the friggin Green Bay Packers?? Did we have good teams after 90? My opinion talented but never complete again until Gruden came in 98..bottom line is once AL knew that Wolf was serious about leaving he should’ve been named GM and AL should’ve of course still had a hand in personnel but ultimately his main function should’ve been as owner..to watch Wolf leave and go pull the Packers out of irrelevance and help take them to 2 Super Bowls was tough to take
I don't hear anything wrong with what he's saying. He sounds like a "player's" announcer. "Worst" for me was OJ on MNF with his poor, poor grammer and mispronounciations And next is Collingsworth, who always had me yelling at him through the TV to SHUT UP!, please just shut up Cowardsworth. [Self Edit] I remember now! Jiggets was a player on one of Harvard's last good teams, along with Pat McNally.
Any Bo game is cool with me! Thanks very much!
Drove down to LA to watch this one! Bo, Jerry Robinson, and the Redskins carousel of QBs.
Tracy Rocker had a total lack of hustle on the first drive. He was supposed to replace Butz but just didn’t want to play
Steve Smith rest in peace was a good runner in this
Bo still the best back ive ever seen. A freak, according to teammates
I have to agree but only after I mention Earl Campbell as worthy of comparison

If only Green hadn’t been injured for this one. Would have been interesting if Darrell could have hawked Bo down on that 73 yard Touchdown run.
Was at this game in 89 me Cl nutt, Taco, Satin, and Tasha we played horribly. But we had fun great memory!!
