- On this episode of Wisdom and the Woods we are testing out a 4hp 4 stroke Tohatsu on my 1236 v nose flat bottom Jon boat with stabilizers. Jon boat stabilizers have made a world of difference in the usability of this boat, but the focus is on the 4hp Tohatsu today.

Good afternoon I'm new here I see you have extra flotation on your boat if you don't mind I have a question or two I have a 14 32 pond hopper I need to add some flotation for stability I want my wife to fish with me but she is scared of the boat the rating tag says 550 total capacity and in need it to be able to carry a payload of apx. 1000lbs any ideas would be greatly appreciated thanks for sharing how did you do your flotation looks good like the finished product
Thank you for supporting the channel. If you search “Cheap Easy Jon Boat Stabilizers” on UA-cam, you will see a video in the feed with my boat in the thumbnail. I explain how I did mine in that video. Unfortunately it was before I started doing videos so there is no visual step by step. I am considering buying another old narrow Jon boat and adding stabilizers to it showing the steps I used. I will say that you can add twice the floatation I added (or more) if needed. I truly appreciate your interaction.
