Thanks for the review! I've been looking at this specific bike for the past couple months and have been hard pressed to find a good honest review. Now it will just be a matter of waiting for the bike to be in stock....
Of course! That's kinda why I made this review since there really aren't any out there. I was just on YT's site and they have some core 4s if your budget allows...
@@bert3566 I got the 27.5 option so it is 160mm for travel. I can throw it around pretty good. There is some pedal bob especially when you are putting a lot of power in. Otherwise it's awesome
i got a notification in my email 2 weeks ago for the L jeffsy and jumped on it. i probably was 3-4 hrs late checking my email so when i purchased it said it "latest shipped may 16". not ideal BUT i'm glad i was able to purchase one. i'm super excited, not having a mtb in 10+ years. just getting into the sport. i live in FL. im hoping i can get it earlier than that, but i'm in no rush.
@@giffordprice I just realized u and i are similar height and u have an XL. Should i change my Large order (delivery may 16) to an “in stock” XL?! Will the Large be too small for me? Im in between 6’1 and 6’2.
@@giffordprice ok! Im going to contact them to see if i can change my L order to the XL! Thanks so much. I kept telling myself i could manage the large but i forgot yt sizing is smaller! After lookin at other bikes geo its like yt’s XL is probably closer other brands’ size Large..And I know you actually have access to the Yt Mill so I’m sure you have seen the large and xl compared
I have the same exact bike in Large (I'm 5'11"). Bought it in March when they first released it and it's my first FS MTB. Haven't really done anything to it other than a front fender and absolute black 32T oval. So far, I love it and I always look forward to riding. Currently riding on flat pedals but may upgrade to clips in the future. Been riding the SoCal Orange County trails and it's been flawless. Also, keep an eye out on the cable frame plugs up in the front as they tend to pop out after riding. Put a little bike grease on the cables where they make contact with the plugs and it will solve that issue. Have fun and ride safe!
@@giffordprice The oval made a big difference with climbing, especially on technical uphill terrain and punchy climbs. I read the oval benefits flat pedal riders more than if you were using clips and so far so good. I was able to clear a steep hill with the oval ring whereas a week prior I couldn’t with the round ring.
@@russellavendano6221 All depends on how long your legs and arms are. At 5’11”, if you have proportional limbs then a XL might be too big for you. You’ll be able to ride it, but it won’t feel as nimble. Not sure how long you’ve been riding but that was my experience when riding my buddy’s XL bike on the trails.

I'm looking at a Core 2 and am 6'0" would a large fit me? And how is the climbing on this bike. It's a toss up for me right now between this and an Ibis Rimpo AF.
Hey man great video! I’m currently 5ft 11/2 inches tall and curious if I should go for the L or XL. Only 15 so still growing but I’m not sure how this bike fits since I can’t test it. Thanks
Hey, dont claim about the NX derailleur. It is your choice. You get what you pay for. the Core 3 has the GX derailleur and would be the bext choice. the X01 and also XX1 are just weight optimized.
How long did shipping take after you ordered it? I’ve been waiting for it to get back in stock, almost ready to settle for a different bike soon if I can’t get it.
I ordered it March 12 when they were released. It said “ships latest April 25” or something like that and I ended up getting it beginning of April. I also did the local pickup in San Clemente.
Thanks for this review 🤟This is my dream bike even if I don't really have the money to afford it now... Maybe next year 😜 I have a question... I'm 6'1" so I'm right in the middle between L and XL... I know you bought XL, so how does it feel? Maybe L it's a little bit more playful on the jumps and the descends... And another thing of the XL is the Dropper... Maybe 170mm is too much or is it just perfect? From what I understand we are the same height, so based on how you feel with the bike then I will adapt accordingly and decide L or XL 😅 Send it 🤟💪
@@mtbryder741 Go for the XL! Now it may feel a bit big, but if you're still growing (how old are you?), it's the right option... When do you think to buy it?
Hey this might be a dumb question how do you feel hittng more rough downhill focused trails or the bikepark on this ? Do you think the 150 mil Suspension holds up ?
I would feel pretty confident taking it to a bike park. I think if all you are going to be doing are bike park laps then there are better options out there but this will definitely handle it no problem. I am actually planning on taking it up to a couple this summer.
@@josephjones7155 I got it about a year ago and honestly I grew a lot since but when I first got it it honestly fit me pretty good but it felt just a tiny bit big but yea I’d say large
I do like street mtb and focus on the wheelies and jumps, is this a good bike for me, considering there’s a 600 m climb from my house to wherever I wanna go?
This is much more an all mountain bike with more travel front and rear. The spec is also a bit higher than the stump jumper. The stump jumper would be better for calmer trails where as the Jeffsy is a little more capable.
It jumps very well. If your looking to do more stretched out mtb focused jumps then it would be perfect but if your looking to do tighter more bmx style jumps then I think it would be too much bike.
I pre oredered this bike but I am really wandering if I should get the capra instead. Also how you liking the bike and did you ever get the derailer dialed in?
