Wow. The end of an era lol. Thanks for the great content and looking forward to seeing your new bike. Santa Cruz? I upgraded a lot on my Jeffsy so i will keep it for a while but my eyes are always open for new rides.
come on man give yourself more credit your not bad and have made a lot of progression on the last almost 2 years. I bought my jeffsy at the same time you did and for very similar reasons, although i had significant prior bike experience, the value of the jeffsy base at the time had such a gravitation pull it was inevitable and it served its purpose but i have also moved on (Izzo blazo) and miss the jeffsy but it is fondly remembered. cant wait to see the new bike, im guessing its A carbon and either a ripmo since you mentioned very similar to the jeffsy, or maybe even just a carbon jeffsy like a core4 ? either way im sure it will be great and looking forward to following your progress on a better bike, the izzo has certainly made significant improvement to my strava times but ultimately the joy and stoke levels are basically the same.
I live in maine and have contemplated buying my first full squish! The jeffsy capra or stumpjumper. Still not sure but maybe ill just order one and be happy lol
@@joshuarichardz6010 all good bikes! Capra might be a bit overkill for most trails in Maine (but depends where you live), but honestly I bet you'd be happy with any of them
It could have been I was definitely there that week although I don't recall if it was Thurs or Fri. Whichever day it was I did have to leave after lunch to go pick my daughter up though, so it seems likely! Hoping to get up there again soon, maybe next weekend.
What trail / loop was that at Bradbury? I’ve been a few times and have been exploring the trails on the other side of Rt. 9 (Ginn, Fox, Ragan, etc.). I live nearby and just got into mtn biking again thanks in part to your channel. I really appreciate all the effort you have put into making this content!
This is Ginn, although in this video I do take a quick detour down a side trail that I don't think has a name, it was just an access road or something. But Ginn was the first real trail that I ever rode so I thought it would be good to come back and do it again for this video. Also that's awesome! I've been thinking of trying to put together a group of folks to ride together at Bradbury on a regular basis to try to improve our skills, actually. Kind of like an enduro team although I don't think we'd actually do much racing and there probably would be a variety of skill levels. I haven't actually taken any steps but it's an idea I've been kicking around in my head, let me know if you think it sounds interesting!
@@CharlieWentOutside It’s funny how different everything looks on video. I really enjoy that trail, especially the technical section with the exposed granite. Some challenging climbs there. It would be nice to meet up. I am certainly not as advanced or in shape, but would enjoy doing some riding with others to improve my skills. Human interaction is at a premium these days as well so that won’t hurt either!
@@filteq- yeah, it's crazy how flat and textureless the gopro makes some things look. (And yeah, those climbs are TOUGH. The biggest slab one I think I've only cleaned once or twice...I usually ride it in the other direction so I get to go down those!)
@@CharlieWentOutside That’s what I have been doing as well. I have sessioned a few of those when climbing up and have only been able to do that real tricky one a couple of times though.
Wasn't me, I was at Bradbury today. I thought about going to Apatite actually, but I know it stays wet for a while after the rain so I figured it'd probably still be a bit wet today. How was it?
@@andyiscool141 glad you didn't get hurt, there are definitely some scary looking rock rolls there! I have done a couple of them and almost crashed on one. I need to go back this year and see if I have the guts to try any more of them...
@@DavidFoundCo well yeah, I get notifications, and YT algorithm promotes vids with creator engagement. So cheers for helping share this video with more people!
Already got it - that's next week's video! I do have one photo of it on Instagram that's backlit so it's tough to see, but it might be possible to guess from that if you're really curious to know now 😂

Ooh, the Izzo is actually one of the ones I was looking at too. Sick looking bike and seems like it'd be great for the trails around here as well.

Pretty sure I saw you at Mt Abram Friday before last. I was hoping to say hi, but maybe you left after lunch. Oh well. I enjoy your videos.

Really it has nothing to do with you, you're perfect. I wouldn't change anything about you, I'm just getting a much hotter girlfriend.

My grandma who rides bikes can go faster on those descends. Nothing wrong with that jeffsy, skills usually come first before fancier bikes :)
