How Tatiana makes your list but Amy Winehouse doesn’t I’ll never understand
I always forget how young you guys really are.
Jared: "Chester Bennington from Lincoln Park who introduced me to heavier Rock in high school"
Me: Linkin Park came out when I was 35 😢😭😢😭😢
wait, not that it's that important but I'm just curious, LP were originally formed in 95 or 96 I think, are you talking about then or when they released Hybrid Theory in 2000? Either way, respect to you old timer, I was about 14 when I first heard of Linkin Park and I was already into hard stuff like Metallica and Iron Maiden, but just getting into Slipknot and shit. And here I was starting to feel old at this point :D

Chester Bennington 🤘🏽😎 Fly High and Rest Easy 🙏🏼 we miss and love you brother!
Fucking this ^
@@ashton6479 what?
*has no idea who Austin is talking about*
*knows everyone from Jared's list*
Potluck5 linkin park and deftones are respectively my #1 and #2 bands, but i really have to disagree with putting chino over chester in terms of vocals
I really like linkin park and deftones but I dunno that Chester or Chino should be making any top 5 "best" lists. 😅
Well, Austin is a vocalist and Jared is a guitarist so it kind of makes sense.
Austin gotta be quirky and pick bands that no one knows
@@alexlogan124 I think it's a nice balance to have. On the one hand you've got Jared who will list the people your kind of expect in these sorts of lists (the over-popular yet obviously objectively talented people), and on the other hand you've got Dickey shedding light on underground, heavily talented people who never see the limelight but deserve extra exposure.
Myles Kennedy-Alter Bridge
Spencer Sotelo-Periphery
Chester Bennington-Linkin Park
No particular order
I almost always forget about Alter Bridge but yeah! that vocalist has a crazy range.
Spencer has a fucking insane range

5. Deryck Whibley
4. Billie Joe Armstrong
3. Chester Bennington
2. Corey Taylor
1. M Shadows
I would not call M Shadows the most talented singer. But the most enjoyable one!
Billie, Corey, and Chester were all in my list, but with Chester a bit higher, and Corey a bit lower
Billie Joe Armstrong....?
M shadows pretty much invented hyper distortion as the method is like a growl but it is a scream
wow, ive never gottem more than 10 likes on a comment before. Thanks
5:M. Shadows
4:Rob Halford

Pratik Mitra uh, yeah. I think he’s great! It’s so hard to do his style because he was self taught.
Homer Simpson his style isn’t hard it’s literally just not being able to sing majority of ppl can do that
Josh97 he’s got a specific tone that’s hard to emulate.
1 Maynard James Keenan (tool)
2 Maynard James Keenan (a perfect circle)
3 Maynard James Keenan (puscifer)

Favorites for me in no particular order
1. Chino Moreno, emotion in every song and just so incredibly unique
2. Joni Mitchell, her voice is angelic, soft yet strong and a beautiful writer
3. Chester Bennington, had such a pained way of singing, from soft and gentle to gritty and loud
4. Eddie Vedder, perfect blend of soul and rock with his D E E P baritone croon
5. Hayley Williams, RANGE, versatility and consistent power in every part of her range
Fair to Midland was sooooo dope. One of my favorites for sure. Really happy anytime someone loves that band. Darroh is a legend.
1.Chester Bennington
2.Sam Carter
3.Chino Moreno
4.Kurt Travis
5.Jonny Craig/Tilian Pearson
this is the best top 5, Chester is the best one
Sam Carter, thats my man
oh shit Kurt above Jonny and Tilian? Happiness is my favourite DGD album but i'd say Jonny and Tilian are better singers
I don't see anyone beating Jonny on anyone's list.
Honestly surprised at how barely anyone mentions mike patton… he does everything from Italian opera, to nightmarish howling, to hip hop and more. not to mention his over 6 octaves of range
Thank you finally someone who knows what a good vocalist sounds like!!! Mike Patton rulez
I came here to say Patton. Legendary
For this generation a more obscure 90s reference...like it
Mike Patton is amazing. FNM is such an underrated band. It's too bad those guys could never get along well enough to stay together.
Has everyone forgotten about Mike Patton?? He's such a fantastic vocalist, I'd say he should be #1.
Exactly!
1. Mikael Åkerfeldt.
2. Devin Townsend.
3. Phil Anselmo (In his prime).
4. Maynard James Keenan/Mikael Stanne.
5. Corey Taylor/Dan Swanö.
Nice mikael
I’d put Devin above Mikael. But we have a very similar taste in singers it seems.
I respect your opinion, though it's just a matter of personal preference.
Devin does have a far better vocal range than Mikael; however, its Mikael beautiful clean vocals and his growls/grunts (in his prime, obviously; he kind of lost his finesse) that give him the edge over Devin in my opinion.
@@praveenshukla1172 When it comes to death vocals Mikael is indeed hard to match, and his clean vocals are very beautiful. But so are Devin's, and he has an amazing operatic quality to his voice. They are both amazing in their own right.
@@vernitico, couldn't agree more.
1.Freddie Mercury- Queen
2. Myles Kennedy-Alter Bridge
3. Howard Jones-Killswitch Engage/Light The Torch
4. Jonny Hawkins-Nothing More
5. M Shadows-Avenged Sevenfold

2: Howard Jones | Killswitch Engage
3: Winston McCall | Parkway Drive
4: Phillip Labonte | All That Remains
5: Chester Bennington | Linkin Park
That number one tho
at last, i finally saw Howard Jones in the comments
Can confirm that Ben is a great vocalist. Saw BB in 2010 and it was a killer show.
Darroh Sudderth is an insane vocalist, great pick.
1) Corey Taylor (Slipknot)
2) Corey Taylor (Stone Sour)
3) #8 (Slipknot)
Yes
they definitely have a unique & beautiful sound, but more screamers less singers.
Too bad that their music is shit

Matt Heafy
Aaradicatiøn I didn't notice that, shit
OMG Tatiana is the fucking singer
James hetfeild. Enough said with just that, but I'll give more.
His voice is instantly recognizable, and he has so many different things that make him distinguishable. He doesnt have the greatest range, especially now a days, but the way he implements his voice into all of metallicas music, it is amazing what he does. Truly a legend.
So glad to see Darroh getting some love
I'll list more than 3. In no particular order:
-Devin Townsend (Solo, Strapping Young Lad, Devin Townsend Band, Devin Townsend Project, etc.)
-Maynard James Keenan (Tool, A Perfect Circle)
-Daniel Tompkins (Tesseract)
-Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth, Bloodbath)
-Ihsahn (Solo, Emperor)
-Dan Swanö (Solo, Edge of Sanity)
1. Chester Bennington
2. Myles Kennedy
3. Benjamin Burnley
4. Brendon Urie
5. Taka Moriuchi
@Cyn Kastor was actually gonna put Spencer Charnas on number 5 but then i remembered Taka, him and One Ok Rock is basically the Chester Bennington and Linkin park of Japan, Spencer can take number 6 for me but this is a top 5 list lol
Respect for putting Taka on your list.
I was expecting the vocalist from Mr. Bungle to be on here. Great lists!
Devin Townsend - DTB, DTP, SYL
Steven Wilson - Porcupine Tree
Mikael Åkerfeldt - Opeth
Peter Steele - Type O Negative
Rob Halford - Judas Priest
Steve Walsh - Kansas
Many of the vocalists on Austin's list really sounded similar to me, you can tell how much he loves metalcore and even though I don't listen to that anymore, I respect that. I grew up on that genre, with great singers like Brian Fair of Shadows Fall, Matt Heafy of Trivium, Howard Jones of Killswitch Engage, etc. And respect to Jared for mentioning Freddy, obviously one of the greatest vocalists that ever lived.
Amazing picks. Devin is my favorite vocalist and Wilson, Halford, and Akerfeldt are easily in my top 10
Great picks
Especially Peter Steele
Opeth is one of the best EVER! Mikael can write/sing anything!!
Ben Burnley
Chester Bennington
Taka Moriuchi
Chris Cornell
Layne Staley
Taka is actually insane... whether you like their new poppy sound or the old days of One OK Rock no-one can ever take the fact that Taka is one of the worlds most talented singers away from them!
Ville Valo of HIM has the most honeylike, almost velvety voice I've personally ever heard. His voice is so smooth and deep and sultry. He also does these amazing falsettos that give me chills every time.
Darroh Sudderth would have to be on my list as well-- great to hear that name again!

No Anthony Green?? I'm so glad you mentioned Darroh, tho! So underrated!
Don't know how I would rate him, but Claudio Sanchez from Coheed And Cambria is amazing.
Hell yeah!!!!!
YES!!!!
Ya I enjoy Claudio Sanchez
I didn't listen to Coheed before this album.. Haven't listened to them after this album either.. Don't know why, don't ask... But. No World for Tomorrow blew my fucking mind... I absolutely adored that album pretty much from start to finish. KILLER album.. Even though the only Coheed song I could name you not on that album is Welcome home.. Or wait is that Sanitarium... Coming home? No its welcome home, right? You're going home.. You're running free.. I know that's on No world for Tomorrow so maybe it doesn't have to do with home.. Damnit I almost said sanitarium. Maybe I can't name a Coheed song not on No World for Tomorrow.. Shit. Either way though.. Fucking excellent album.
Yes! That was my pick though im 3 years late on this video but he is hands down one of the best imo!

@@FOFballer It's my list man, there are lots and lots of amazing singers out there buy these are the 5 that just popped into my head. If you don't agree, make your own list ;)
Liking this only for matt bellamy
Claudio Sanchez! He can do it all. I’ve listened to Coheed and Cambria since their inception, and how much he has grown is beautiful. He can sound from soft or hard, low and whispery to whaling runs and the uniqueness of him is irreplaceable. He has insane range with the control to match.. i cant go on enough about Claudio. He is also a great guitarist as well. Also in some of the songs that are big story tellers, he has this amazing way of enunciating certain syllables then go right back into it. Amazing live and in my opinion, underrated band.. in any genre. And im a metal head at heart, music drives me in general but Coheed and Claudio are absolutely one my top favorites.
Howard Jones is one of my favorites. Nothing needed to be said there.🤘🏻
And as much as this will pain some.. Maynard!
Though i could go on and on as there are so many amazing singers, and agree with Jareds picks heavily, but those are the 3 that stood out to me immediately.
I freaking love Ben's voice. It's so good and consistent. When he sings u know it's him.
3: Freddie Mercury of Queen
2: Maynard James Keenan of Tool and A Perfect Circle
1: Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog
So the squeaky Metalcore boys are on the list and Spencer Sotelo isn't?!
Greg DjentyGuy why you had to spoil the list. I have officaly lost my faith in dickeydines, for not putting spencer on the list
I hope the DickyDadNoise cast sees this so the can learn from their errors
Dominik Holdas why are you in the comments if you dont want spoilers...
You must be confused did they ask you whose your top 5 or is this their list of THEIR favorite singers.
He's not on here because it's rare to find a video of them live where he's actually good, and he's actually known as a pretty iffy live singer. Just no consistency.

Dimash Kudaibergen - solo artist, the things this man can do with his voice is not human. Absolute legend!
Spencer Charnas - Ice Nine Kills
Claudio Sanchez - Coheed & Cambria
Chino Moreno - Deftones
Pete Loeffler - Chevelle
Jonny Craig - too many bands he got kicked out of, so is mostly solo lol
It's hard to put them in order, but those are definitely favorites
and I know, that's 6 not 5 lol
Some honorable mentions, aside from the obvious that were pointed out in this video
Tyler Carter - also been with multiple bands and does solo stuff, stand out acts being Issues and Woe, Is Me
Jonathan Davis - Korn
Toshi - X Japan
Howard Jones - Former vocalist of Killswitch Engage, now in Light The Torch, formerly known as Devil You Know
There's too damn many good vocalists, how dare you do this to me!!!! xD
