“Sunny D Of Yogurt!”- Greatest rap lyric of all time!
I can confirm this, as someone who has consumed a danimals. It's gross.
I have no idea of what that means...
My question is where the hell is mr bungle
SUNSHINE FLESH LIGHT the most modern form of art
Not gonna lie Jared has some really underrated jokes
Avant garbage
I loved that Danimals rap at the beginning
When
No idea why these guys don't just quit the UA-cam thing and start their rap group.
Goal #1
Be on this list.
I believe in you Justin
With Tallah, that goal is definitely in sight
The biker helmets and pantyhose bits are from Maximum the Hormone. Awesome Japanese band
That was my favorite clip. When the audience is sooo into the music and get the band.... Almost becoming one with the art... love.
One of my absolute favourite bands. They blend everything, metal, punk, disco, pop & it works beautiful. A-L-I-E-N is a recommendation for a listen.
Maximum the Hormone its so good!
They're really cool. Not sure if it's true or not, but I heard they also have to sell lottery tickets to their shows because they're so popular in Japan that they decided the only fair way to decide who got to their shows was through a lottery, as opposed to people just being the first to order the tickets.
@@pockydoobles1767 Just watched the video to that about 5 times in a row and still have NO clue as to what in the world is going on.. .. So much... awesome
Thanks for the self-harm alert. I really appreciate that one.
Dickey Dines > studying for a math test that is in 2 days
Your math test's on a sunday?
Same man college os a bitch
@@kiddobo3458 i live in a country where our school day off is saturday, so yeah.
@@yonikup2865 Where are you from? Cause we have a school day off on Saturdays in Israel too
@@notmozart8866 im from israel lol 😅
That DIR EN GREY clip is from 2007, which is when Kyo used to do self harm at almost every show. After 2008, he's only done it a handful of times since.
I did what?
@@kissushoto you did 911
@@kissushoto 😂
They aren't even the only band that's done self-harm. Shining (not the jazz-metal one, the depressive black metal one) regularly self-harms. Dead from Mayhem used to self-harm too, and admitted to getting off on seeing the reaction of the crowd. He likened it to a kind of psychological experiment. He was curious to see how different crowds reacted to seeing blood. He'd also bury his stage clothes a week before a show to make them grave-like. And used to huff a bag with a dead crow in it to create a grave high (yeah, Dead was a weird dude. IIRC, he was deeply clinically depressed, and mildly psychotic and had delusions that he was some kind of zombie-like creature with black ichor instead of blood in his veins. His suicide note also simply read, "Please forgive the mess.")
As for the band, current singer Attila has been known to dress like a mummy from time to time, and I think they still line the stage with razor wire and pig heads mounted on pikes, which they toss into the crowd
@@princealigorna7468 Annnnnd you know all of this because...?
"What kind of weird porn is this?" Well looks like someone saw their 'obscure' video xd
Thank you for the self harm warning, some people on UA-cam don’t think about that stuff, I appreciate it
I appreciate it too. Before I new what you were referencing I thought you might have been joking about enduring cringe as self harm
Dir en grey and Maximum the Hormone in the same vid? Props to the Dickster
Obviously a Jrock Fan
Kyo from Dir En Grey is absurd live. Hands down, the best live performance I have seen. Lucky enough to have seen them 3 times. He used to do the cutting more back in the down until it caused too much scar tissue in his mouth; doesn't do it anymore.
I’ve been told that in Japan they wear motorcycle helmets and pantyhose in order to avoid being identified and detained by police. Because if the police suspect there was drug use at a show, they will use footage and photos from the show to attempt to identify individuals who were present. Or something along those lines. But that’s just what I’ve heard.
Edit:syntax
Otis Escobedo i think its just a specific band thing cuz i live in japan and go to concerts every weekend and havent seen this before
I think it's just because maximum the hormone is a crazy fucking band and so are their fans.
I wear pantyhose on my head every day from 5pm-8pm and no band has ever played in front of me but EVERY FUCKING TIME I throw on my biker helmet... my uncle slips his hand up my shorts. I mean, my uncle is Japanese but no, not a normal thing.
@@michielvansteenhoven7255 you saw that vid too huh?

The video of "Sorry, you're not a winner" by Enter Shikari is the sickest live preformance ever
such a good live band that are seriously underrated outside of Europe. So so good
@@danielmorgan104dm It's such a shame. I love them but live in America. I really wish they'd come here way more often.
Danny Devito: I sleep
Danny Dorrito: I sleep
Danimal Devito: *WOKE*
5:43 THATS MAXIMUM THE HORMONE they're a sick japanese metal band
Have not heard them in ages!!!! immediately listened to a bunch of their songs after seeing this haha.
Hell yeah ALIEN is so funny
holy shit i was at that Chariot show, never expected to see that clip ever again though haha
In 2009, our youth group went to a music festival with the chariot and it was absolute bonkers. At the end, kc wolf (that dude that was throwing his guitar up in the air) spent a good amount of time violently smashing his guitar off the stage. Best Christian music festival ever. Norma Jean, as I lay dying, the chariot, and haste the day all in one weekend
I love how the fan is like no I'm not done with you yet and goes up and wrestles The guy on stage!
You know how you guys did that special where it was every DickeyDines video beginning in one video....I'd love to see one that's like the last 5 seconds of every DickeyDines videos compiled for a special or something! Some of the way you guys end up videos are so funny, especially the Dining with Dickey
This is a great idea
Would that first band be considered "art-core" since they're playing in an art gallery?
prolly, got some powerviolence vibes from it.
I think I would classify it as post-alternative progressive gallerycore
nah it’s guerilla toss, good shit
Seems more like Noise Rock.
Literally typing “listens to iwrestledabearonce” Jared-listens to iwrestledabearonce once Me-*God?*
Maximum The Hormon made the best Anime opening ever... WHAT´S UP PEOPLE?!
And the theme for Frieza from dragon ball Z Reserection of f film
Yeah? well Dir En Grey did the end credits for Saw 3D.
Long Live the Chariot!!!!!! BTW I met them at a show, one member said it was a fan that broke the pear bowl and they got blamed. It's in Perth Australia.
Context for the Dir en Grey clip:
The song they're performing is The Final which is about suicide.
Ransu X The concert was at Wacken 2007 the Family Values your. I'm sure.
@@cesarestrada3619 *2006, also during the performance of "the IIID Empire" in the same show, he dumps ice water on himself, preforms even after slipping on the ground, and destroys the front platform and throws it in the direction of the drummer
david Lewis Oooo never seen that happen. Where he throws ice at Shinya.
@@cesarestrada3619 no, he pours ice water on himself, he throws the platform that vocalists use to stand on back at Shinya
david Lewis oooooo.
We need a full version of that Danimals rap immediately!
haha, A co-worker just sent me the link to this video because he knows I'm into metal and there was actually quite a lot performance art stuff in here (it's weird). Quick thing about helmets etc:
The Japanese music industry functions a bit different then the ones overseas. Most Japanese bands take the biggest part of their income from fanclub fees and they sometimes do special concerts for fanclub members. I know of one where the theme was "come in a bathing suit" and people do it, because everyone who comes is a Fanclub member and is therefore inclined to follow the instructions (these things probably wouldn't work with concerts that are open to everyone, even in Japan).
Btw, Kyo's self harm had a lot of performance art as well. Ever watched Marina Abramovic?
During the time I didn't know about the connection to theatric arts, instead I compared it Billy Idol and Marilyn Manson who did similar things on stage. It's a way of communication. If you don't want to hear something you can shut down your senses so far that it passes you by or you just don't think about what you've heard. It doesn't NEED to touch you. Words can easily be made meaningless (even more so when they are transmitted in a different language). But in order to avoid seeing something we need to actively close our eyes. We need to decide consciously that we don't want to witness something and even then the knowledge that it happened in front of you remains inside you.
That's why we can shut down the news so easily and hear about terrible events but still faint seeing blood in real life (in extreme cases of course.) To make suffering visible it takes an act of suffering. (or at least that's the theory behind it, which I am inclined to believe to a certain extend)
But in Dir en grey's case things went a bit out of hand when foreign audiences came to see this exact thing and then questioned it's "realness". To prove them wrong and satisfy the masses he at least went further then originally planned. So it's a good thing self harm didn't make it into the narrative of further albums.
You guys are awesome. I was hungover as shit last week and spent around 6 hours watching your videos after I found your channel. 3 hours in I broke back into my hardcore inner man and ordered a through the eyes of the dead album. I’ve been listening to the same bury your dead and thrown down and Norman jean album for ten years. ( still fucking heavy by the way) Thanks dude. It really means a lot.
I love you guys so much. You make me laugh so much, especially Austin. I love your guys channel, and I love metal. XD right now, that's all I listen to. I subbed and liked. Keep up the great content!!!
I should be at school, but im sick watching ur vids while playing guitar, Thanks for making me feel better!
Daniel Saladbar same,,
Enjoy those days
This is my favorite video you guys have made in a while 👍
Good footage. A lot of fun. ...but honestly I don't think the bands are that weird...there's a lot stranger bands out there. Thanks.
Totally, especially bands like Mac Sabbath and The Residents being quite weird
And Okilly Dokilly.
@@Ravensikkness barely weird, just a bunch of dudes dressed as ned flanders, with bad music.
@@jackisbak69 it's fair to say weird is a matter of personal perspective. To some that band might be weird, just because it isn't weird to you doesn't mean it isn't weird xD
Weirdest band I've seen is Autopsy Report of a Drowning Shrimp.
I love Austin's shirt! And great vid! :D
No matter how many of these I watch, I still can’t get over them using the Banjo Kazooie title screen music and sounds. I rarely ever realize it’s there until a quiet moment and then I’m flashed back to my teen years
8:38 "HENTAAAAAAIIII"

Loved it! You could probably find some weirder shit. Believe me it gets so much weirder.
"Oh, it's 'art.'" *Smirks*
That Chariot show was in Perth, Western Australia, after those two shows they came back to Australia a few years later to do Soundwave festival and their set got cut in half in Perth again.
LINKS, WE NEED LINKS DICKEY!!
okay so the first band i believe is Guerilla Toss. and that clip reeeeally doesnt do them justice. i just saw their live set about a week ago and it was one of the best shows ive seen in a very long time. check out their latest album called "twisted crystal". its fucking insane.
man, I love this channel.
Austin’s “seizure” at the end of the video was funny as shit🤣🤣😭😭
I loved the last clip. I couldn't stop sayin' "Oh my god !" every five seconds.
I want to see Grant Kirkhope live playing the banjo Kazooie ost
Today got out so much things, a new trivium cover, an of virtue song, an thy art is murder song, an imminence song, your video,... such a great day xD
friday too
Ink & Dagger. Sean McCabe's, who was a bit of a punk/hardcore legend in the Philly area, vampire themed punk/noise band. They were incredible. Used to rise up out of coffins, wear fangs, and, have fake blood dripping from their mouths. Also, Eric Wareheim from Tim & Eric played bass for them for a while. Their first EP was titled "Drive This 7" Wooden Stake Through My Philadelphia Heart".
Maximum the hormone is the name of that Japanese band that you guys were talking about. If you haven’t heard of them they were the ones who did the song for “death note”
That's a perfect analogy! Covers self in spaghettio's, "Nature is a construct we don't deserve!" Lmao, nailed it!
That burly noise dude is called "Custodian" I think. I saw him at the art house near me. One of the few times I had to actually cover my ears. The most intense harsh noise I've ever heard.
saw skindred the other day and their show was very entertaining but weird.
the frontman was hilarious and numerous times they stopped in the middle of a song and played samples of old reggie songs, a tupac song and the imperial march from star wars of all things.
it was a really good show
DUUUUUUUDE I THOUGHT MAXIMUM THE HORMONE WHEN I SAW THE THUMBNAIL! I cant believe it was actually in the video XD
I first heard The Chariot in early 2003. They put on the best and wildest shows I've ever see
LONG LIVE
I love this type of reaction stuff from you guys! Always hilarious XD
I was really hoping The Chariot would be in here. I saw them in 2012 or 2013 in Orlando when they opened for For Today, and they absolutely stole the show. I had never heard them before that show and walked out a big fan. They went SO fucking hard it was amazing
Great episode👍
It was a good little collection, but i think Ryoskue Kiyasu (sete star sept) should also be listed here :)
I didn't want this to stop!!
Here in Yuma Az we use to have band play at this cool little coffee cupcake shop reminded me of that charity show
"MensVreters" from South africa is up there too! A Gorey/weird ass Afrikaans metal/hiphop duo! Should definitely be featured the next vid like this ;)
That The Chariot video is LEGENDARY
LONG LIVE
OMG I want to see Maximum the Hormone live so bad.
Always appreciate Banjo-Kazooie music in the background.
Steak Sauce Mustache is a pretty crazy band to watch live. Theyre not like, cringe-crazy, but it's definitely fun. Taylor, the lead vocalist, is super active on stage, and has done a lot of weird stuff, like performing in a garbage can, and eating cigarettes. All the bois in that band are absolute mad lads.
You guys should do a part 2 with bands from Extreme Obscene! SxCxAxT and Cote D'aver are amazing bands that are also very weird lol
The Maximum The Hormone clips were from gag shows they did: For one show only people wearing motorcycle helmets could watch; another show only pairs of people wearing pantyhose on their heads could watch (if the pantyhose ripped & you had no spares then you had to leave); another show was limited to people wearing anime cosplay, etc. They weren't from the same show, but a series of shows.
dude that frog metal at 9:35 was awesome
That metal zone pedal is plugged into a contact mic. It picks up vibrations and turns it into sound. Common in noise music
Colton Hamilton who is the artist?
@@lukemcfarland2690band is "Bucket of Piss"
I think it's bad that I knew the band at the beginning.
Like, from just seeing them in the corner.
I literally saw the set up of the band and thought 'Oh yeah, Guerilla Toss, I love those guys."
You guys have to see the video of Azazel playing live :D Drunk Finnish black metal band. Vocalist’s pants are hanging super low, he pours beer all over himself and guitarist falls off stage lol
I will never get sick of that video
dude bucket of piss insane i cant believe u guys put that guy in the video lmaoo this video is good bro
and fucking maximum the hormone too these are actually cool bands
THE CHARIOT
LONG LIVE
Thanks for bringing Maximum the Hormone on it. I was sure they were here
Jared: thats it?
Austin:you wanted more?
Yup, definetly needed some Obscene Extreme Fest clips and Mr.Bungle
Japan has a lot of crazy bands.
Also the dude hitting the pan is literally me jamming with my bros in the garage.
I’m weird.
That first one reminded me of melt banana/endon.
Dir En Grey was actually the first show I went to, they're awesome live. I can't remember Kyo cutting himself or anything though
Captain! Where can I find Austin's Alien t-shirt?
There was this 2 piece band from Colorado called "French kettle station" And they played in a small record store in my home town, the singer played a weird sound effect keyboard and a 22 inch crash cut into a cross and he would walk into the crowd and do some weird funky dancing, the drummer had a pancake bass drum, a china, 2 floor toms, and the other half of his drums was an electric kit,
Sad to see there wasnt a live performance of "Goat's Ass Trumpet"
3am at Denny’s is the best live performance ever
Damn I only started listening to The Chariot about 3 months ago because they were similar to Every Time I Die, I gotta get more invested now man I never realised they were that awesome
That chicken guy was just a gold client of CLUCKING BELL 🐔 🔔
You never know how expensive bowls can be.
Kind of surprised Letlive wasn't in this. Jason did some crazy stuff live
the band says good night everybody and packs up after the chicken is finished
That the chariot video was them at a bakery and then they played at a Fran’s house and jumped on the roof. Such a dope band and a dope fan.
You guys should check out one of mike Patton’s side projects called fantomos. It’s like cartoons and death metal mixed with grindcore. Check out the directors cut live performance.
Hey! What about links? Can't find who the first band are and where to find them. Help please!)
I so saw and met dir en grey back in 2004 on a rockstar festival was the weirdest opening act I ever had seen. But amazing at the same time sort of fell in love with them for a bit.
I'm starting to think that rotisserie chicken video isn't out there anymore.
There's a noise conference in Miami every year, and it's basically all these videos
That Chariot video in Australia is the best live show i have ever seen!
Can you add the links for the full shows?
I saw Leonard Nimoy live. That was pretty weird.
OMG IT'S MAXIMUM THE HORMONE AT 5:48!!!!!! BRO YOU GOTTA REACT TO THEIR SONGS CAUSE IT'S DOPE AF!
Maximum the Hormone are fucking AWESOME!
Gr8 vid love yall
Eating a peanut butter jelly sandwich is art because not everybody can

That metal thing with the thicc boi is defiantly from a restaurant. Next time you go to any subway or Chipotle look at where they put your food.
