I mean sure he's an absolute beast when it comes to blast beats and fast shit but we have no idea if he's any good at more complex slower stuff like polyrhythms, odd time signatures and if he grooves well or not. Because I don't think someone should be an s tier just based on their speed. But sure, if speed and accuracy was the only point then he would for sure be somewhere up there

Elayna Terrell He’s definitely one of my favorites. I think he’s a really underrated vocalist overall.
I can definitely agree with that. I never got to see him live but I know people who have and said he's amazing.
Funny story: When I was in gym in high school they were playing shitty pop out of the sound system. I took the teachers keys and got in. I put in a JFAC album on and watched as the preppy chicks cringed. 🤣 It was hysterical. I hid the teachers keys and locked the door so they couldn't stop it.
He's better than every vocalist on this list.

He's more of a A tier. He has insane range, power, versatility and creativeness. But I'm not a fan of the toilet sounding lows and is hard to understand. That's just my opinion

Oli at the bottom and his vocals are my favorite ever on Count your Blessings. Idk why, I just like his sound on that one a lot and have never heard anything that as good to my hear, but maybe its just nostalgia.
Even nowadays his vocals have definitely developed into a more refined sound. He isn’t S but he’s definitely a high B. His lows and highs are crazy

Will Ramos might be S tier now. We'll see with the future stuff. Alex Terrible, great vocalist, but even with Demolisher, I think he's still A tier. Comparing Alex Terrible vs Ben Duerr or Dickie Allen, he's not quite to par. Also, Greg Gilbert is F tier now

@@Legions_666 There's been some pretty serious allegations against him regarding the treatment of women and possibly underage girls. Take it all with a pinch of salt though as he's not been charged, he has unfortunately been kicked out of Lorna Shore though.
He wasn't fired from Lorna for the allegations alone. There were previous problems with him and the bandmates and the all the sexual/abuse shit was just the straw that broke the camels back.
rewatching this 2 years later i want them to remake it there’s so much new stuff that has come out from all these bands that deserves recognition

p.s. I'm not necessarily a fan of all of these vocalists but I would've been curious to hear you guys drop some insights about some of them

Jonny Davy is one of the best metal vocalist of his generation imo, he sounds like a beast, and he improved a lot in the latest JFAC albums

Also, i was expecting an honourable mention for 2 fellow OG vocalists Johnny Davey (JFAC) and Anthony Gunnells (TTEOTD) but hey can't have it all lol.
Even though I am not really familiar with most of these vocalists, as I am still very new to deathcore, it is still always fun to hear you go into podcaster mode about a topic you are passionate about. Of course you are going to miss some vocalists and have to leave some out. You can't review every deathcore vocalist that has ever been. That would be insanity and no one would watch a video that long. 😂 Nice to see you are reading the comments and taking them to heart and making that edit to the list. Also LOVE the little extra you threw into the end of the edit. That made it all worth it for me. Great job per usual. 💕❤💕
I'm getting more into it too. I've been really into Slaughter to Prevail, Thy Art is Murder, and I Declare War. Check them out, in addition to Whitechapel and Shadow of Intent.
THANK YOU for Darius I kept eyeballing the pictures looking for him, losing hope as they were all getting revealed. When you came in with the forgotten ones and he was first I was like "BOOM HELL YEAH" haha. He's high in all the criteria but most of all the clarity of words. You can hear every single one first listen, even live :)

Other than (not actually objectively critiquing CJ McCreery and putting him on a proper tier), I can agree with most of them. S tiers all definitely are worth their spot, and everything else pretty much makes sense to me. I would have enjoyed hearing Sean from 'Neverbloom' era of Make Them Suffer, and Mitch Lucker.
Attis thank you! I tried to keep the criteria to active vocalists hence why no OG representation and I would say now with Make Them Suffer they’ve changed to metalcore as opposed to the neverbloom and lord of woe days. If we do a metalcore tier list he will def be there! Thank you for the feedback!

Really glad to see Dane's rank. To The Grave is one of my favorite deathcore bands right now. There's just something about them that seems so dynamic and engaging. Apparently they're working on a 3rd record and I couldn't be more stoked.

From what I've heard from these bands, I'd definetely agree. And props for boosting Kyle Anderson and Dan Watson. Just saw those two guys on tour with Rings of Saturn and both of them sounded gnarly.

I know a few of them are not that active anymore, ex members of active bands or dead (R.I.P. Robert Horn & Mitch Lucker) but all of them were/are fucking unique and awesome at what they're doing/they did. They diserve to be part of a Tier list. If I were to make a vocalist tier list for any scream genre, then I would definitely put Austin in my s tier, he is probably my favorite vocalist of all time, his range is fantastic, and to me he sounds basically the exact same live and on record, and his lyrical ability is amazing. And I can relate to the things he talks about as well, much love from texas austin!

Good song, but he still isn’t S tier. S Tier is for people who can do Highs, Lows and Mids all really well, and also throw in extra unique styles/sounds in the mix too. Alex is very 1 Dimensional. He has some of the best lows in the entire world, but his highs are mediocre, and he sticks to the 1 style 99% of the time

Oceano vocalist is a monster. Saw him live in the middle of a heat wave in Arizona and he came on stage with that windbreaker jacket and kept it on whole set. His vocals were impeccable and the bassist gave me his pick.
I'm friends with Ian, and was actually in a band with him. such a good dude....has tremendous talent and could def do more, but he's def holding back I think.

Ian from rings of Saturn is from a town very close to me. Before he got in rings of Saturn he was in a band called souls of Aries. They were good in my opinion. But what made them even better was Ian’s vocals. The first time my band centralia opened for souls of Aries, they blew me away. I always enjoyed playing shows with those guys.
