BJ Thomas had a beautiful voice. It is music like this that saved lives as it did mine. At the brink of depression, during my early teens and twenties, from the loss of my brother and my best friend, nobody could reach me except these songs. The songs touched my heart and calmed my tormented mind. I often wonder if these artists realize just how precious their music is.

Other great songs include: "Hooked on a Feeling", "Don't Worry Baby", "I Just Can't Help Believing", "Eyes of a New York Woman" and many others, including Country Hits from the Eighties like "Whatever Happened to Old Fashioned Love" and "New Looks from an Old Lover" and several wonderful Christian albums like "Home Where I Belong". So many wonderful hits from this guy!
Another classic artist you should check out is Neil Sedaka, who had many hits in the 60’s and some in the 70’s one song “Breaking up is hard to do” a fast version in the 60’s and a wonderful slow version in the 70’s also in the 70’s “Laughter in the Rain” AWESOME hit!!!!! In the 60’s “Happy Birthday sweet sixteen” “Calendar Girl” “Oh Carol” about when Carol King was his girlfriend.

He was even the first entertainer I searched for on twitter in the early days of the site. He had such a wonderful sense of humour and was always so kind to his fans. He was a guest on a talk show years ago. He spoke of a horrendous childhood. I already liked his singing but after hearing his story I felt such love for him. He overcame so much in his younger life. No wonder his feelings are so believeable in the songs he sang!
