UPDATE: my unit had some wierd issue with the chip overheating? And burning through the box. I think these units might have some QC issues as some reviews for other CarPlay units are similar. At a loss on what to do as it was over $800 and it’s gone within a year or so :(
Got this unit a few months ago , had such a hard time with install due to my ignorance I didn’t watch the fuse section at the end.
Months on, works amazing with absolutely no issues and the car is 10x more modern and makes everything much more easy when driving.

I have one of these units installed on my 2012 e92, works great other than the audio. It keeps skipping when listening to music via apple car play, works fine with the radio. The head unit audio is directly connected to the oem aux input. Xtrons has been little to no help with this issue, wounding if anyone else has had this issue
Hey!! My idrive doesn’t turn on at all, it flashes a blank screen then shuts back off. Will this still work?

Hi, how do use it for wireless carlay?
Just installed a box like this and now the idrive unit doesn’t power on at all. Have gone back to factory quad lock and still nothing. Which fuses would I need to check?

I cannot for the life of me get the screen to turn on, the iDrive knob spins like crazy and doesn't seem responsive, but I can't tell, because the screen isn't on...
I hate how the video doesn't show me where to plug the wires into on the Module.
Also you're cutting away when you put thing back in? Did you not plug the extra cables out of the OEM radio unit back in?
I bought from Bavarian Automotive, it's the same unit and same wiring. They even link this damn video as their installer guide... but lack to give actual written guides, even a PDF...
My ccc module does not work flashing screen no music Navi and so on absolutely nothing can I replace it with this module if so where are you located for installation
How did your switch box fit behind your screen? Did you cut anything out behind the screen?

I installed one of these, but the CCC screen resolution is too low. Should go for the one with hi res screen replacement.
Yeah but with this investment you could’ve bought directly the android radio with a new screen
Does the CarPlay affect music quality for better? And does it have a different eq mix then the oem radio?
Thats the reason why i dont do it bro, im afraid of the quality goes away of the music

Hi! I have just upgraded my iPhone from a 6S to a 13… and the Bluetooth with my e90 320D BMW (2008?) is dodgy. It is slow to connect, drops out. And then sometimes it works perfectly. Is this the fix? Is this the right module? Where are you? Do you do installs?

Right after a lot of messing about I’ve got my unit running, however when in carplay I cannot select anything with my scroll wheel, all I can do is scroll and hit menu to go back. Any ideas on how to solve this?

There's an android update but you need to check your MCU version etc. There should be some videos on how to update the firmware version

I have a 2007 328i e92 the CCC Head Unit is not working the Idrive screen is black and have no sound from, CD player not working. Would this android upgrade would work or have to have the head unit fix first, and my other question is where do I get this unit

Yep same setup (just check the video for the genuine iDrive system, if it looks then same then yes)

Yep rear cam aftermarket. If car has OEM Camera it will function as normal. F30 will be CIC or NBT. I can tell you if you send me a photo of the screen :)

@@rcast3763 this is 325i and he’s had heaps of trouble with it haha but as you can see it’s also been neglected. Go with an F30 or above if you can :)

Sure can
actually you can't on CarPlay, it's an Apple limitation unfortunately and to get around it you must jailbreak your iPhone and do nasty stuff I wouldn't do to my phone, same on Android Auto
