Can you give the details on your stove and tent? This kind of hunting looks like an awesome way to do some backcountry hunting in the East. Plenty of places from GA to Maine to give it a go along the Appalachians and find one of them old mountain bucks.
Awesome video! We used to kayak/canoe down the Flint River in Middle Ga for 2-3 days and camped out on the river as we found good spots. I would love to do a hunting trip like this. Where did you get your stove? That sure would come in handy!
Great video, such a pure and satisfying way to hunt. Most people have no idea the difficulty involved especially in the big woods of the Eastern US. Really enjoyed watching this. Well done!
Those glasses are actually prototypes from a brand called Revision and I helped them develop them. They don't exist for consumers. I would suggest looking at options from Oakley or Wiley X.
@@DamonBungardThanks for the answer back. and of course they are unavailable. lol That's the luck I have. Wiley X was what I was going to until I saw yours. Now I have eyeglass envy. Thanks for the great videos. I really like you and Clay's bow hunting vids.
been looking forward to doing something exactly like this in PA this year. one question for you is, how far away are you camping from your "favorite rock"? i dont want to be soo far away from my stand that i am getting sweated up in the morning, but also dont want to me so close that it affects the deer. any advise is appreciated! congrats on a successful hunt!!
I hunt the same terrain in northeast bama. I got the 03 outfitters ground effects hunting seat. Packs up small and it's perfect for this type of hunting in these mountains. Check it out.
yeah, kind of a bummer, but it was raining so hard when it all went down not sure what would have been visible anyways. Still thought it was worth showing the rest.

The tent is a Seek Outside Cimmaron tent with their titanium stove
That is a trophy TN public land deer. Nice job. Loving this video. I love this style of hunting the mountains
thank you, I appreciate that. they don't give you credit for 'style points' in the record books, but style certainly matters to me
Great Hunt and Great video. Thanks for sharing!!
Very nice. Solitude and deer hunting. Great combo. Thanks for sharing.
Great video. Love seeing someone document some backcountry hunting in the east. Don’t have to travel west to have fun.
Anyone use estrous urine by their stand during the rut?? Pro or con?

the stove and tent are made by Seek Outside
I really like this video. It’s different seeing someone setting up camp for whitetail 🤙🏻
My favorite way to hunt. Nice set up you got there. Nice buck, too
Man.. amazing hunt. Thank you for posting this. Love the setup. Headed to the mountains for a three day hunt next weekend myself.

Looked like a great hunt, Damon!!! Nice buck!

If you you havent done a pack dump, gear video, that would be a good one. I want to try this style in GWNF Virginia.

Thats real deer huntin , well done.

Awesome deer 🦌
Congratulations on a successful hunt👍👍
Thanks 👍
Great video, as always. Wish you'd do even more.
Working on it!
What’s the name of your tent and stove that’s pretty cool!
It's the Seek Outside Cimmaron and their titanium wood stove
Adventure without an airplane ride. I like it. Only thing missing is some snow.
Can yo please tell me the brand of prescription glasses you are wearing? I live in west Texas and am constantly getting eye poked by cedar branches.

my camp was within 300 yards of that rock. Give it a try and hope you have a great hunt.
Great video. Very informative. You may have inspired me to try this style of hunting. How far is your camp from your hunting spot?
thanks, and I hope you do try it one day and have a nice hunt. I was probably hunting only 500 yards from my tent.

What backpack do you have for hauling whitetail ?
I use a few, from Exo Mountain Gear, or I like the Mystery Ranch Metcalf 50 (alnk.to/cb3gWcj)
That looks fun. It would’ve been cool to see the killshot.

Cumberland?
50 yards and the pb over exspanded so much it couldnt pass through?
