Dude this makes me want to start hunting the fact that you are alone out there with just you and the lord waiting to harvest that bull just seams cool. Thank you samong for showing us your world
Who knows he’s probably not alone. Probably have a bunch of friends behind the camera. Hmoob ppl hardly hunt alone, especially for 12 days
It will change your life for the better. Peaceful time to reflect, think, relax and enjoy Gods creations
@@klamerjeremyI need to try this in NC
Slow Clap. A sign of a true sportsman. Taking into consideration the survival of the calves and letting them and their Mother live.Thank you for your hard work and willingness to share. Blessings from another hunter.
Bro, the sound from the lion kill was frightening! I’m not too easily scared in the woods, but that would of sent chills down my spine. Again, great content! Awesome videos! Keep them coming!
Sasquatch! 😮
Handguns are your friend 🫡
Ive had bears fight in my backyard that sounded similar to that.... But also at the same time it sounded like a deer being attacked.
That was crazy sounding stuff for sure! Some of the best I have heard.
I would have gathered my stuff and headed back to camp once that sounds howling...
That cougar sound would be really scary!! Your a brave soul.
Mad respect! Glad to see you seeing the big picture. I've seen a lot of your hunting videos and I have to commend you on the work ethic you have and the dedication you put into your videos. You're a class act and a wonderful ambassador for the sport of hunting. Many "hunters" are just what I call "shooters". You my friend are a true hunter. You literally work your butt off and regardless of the result, you show great appreciation for the natural resources and the opportunities made available to you. Your emotions are raw and genuine. Your hunts are always awesome because it's authentic and captures all the highs and lows. Continue to be a wonderful ambassador for the sport, my friend. Keep doing what you do. It's not about the end result, but rather the journey that makes a hunt so enjoyable. You my friend, are bar none, the most legit hunter out there and your videos, they are wonderfully done. No frills and thrills and no dramatic sound effects. You've been able to capture the essence of hunting, something highend production companies fail to do because it lacks authenticity. Please stay safe and make the most of the time you have while you're still young and able. Take care and always remember that you've now become an ambassador for the sport, so carry that burden with pride and always lead by example! Cheers!
You’re a very dedicated and a hard core hunter for sure 💯.
There ya are!!! Missed you!!!!
Been following you for 4 or 5 years now, and I can't believe how you're not way more popular. You've got a compelling way of telling stories man, makes me really excited just hearing you speak to your audience. I really hope more people interact with your stuff 🤙
The way document your hunts is really helpful and inspiring. It’s honest and not pretentious.
Literally clicked play 14 seconds after you posted this. I FEEL LIKE IM THERE WITH YOU. BRING HOME A RACK. SENDING ALL THE GOOD ENERGY. You literally make the best hunting videos of everyone I've seen.
Thank you so much! I appreciate you!
You literally ruined the video.
@@SamongOutdoors Nothing to add, you're literally the best yt hunter. You're already a legend.
I was literally lying latterally watching this after climbing a ladder all day.
@@msavage138world's longest ladder? Or the world's slowest climber? Jk
As a fellow archery hunter myself here in Colorado, nothing beats backcountry solo hunting! Absolutely love it! Great content too!
Yup, been doing it for decades. But now at mid 60’s and some heart issues my wife doesn’t like it anymore. She’s lived with it for 46 years so I guess I owe her that but if relief. It’s killing me though to pass it up,
Great video man and those noises I thought a damn big foot was gonna get ya!!! Awesome job excited to watch the rest. Such well done footage also it’s inspiring
The experiences you have and everything you get to do and teach us from what youve been through is actually astonishing. I always watch your videos and pick up so much more knowledge every time i come back to em. I hope to see you pull something out in the next couple of weeks !!
Respect for busting your hump and putting lots of hours in. Really enjoyed this and it shows what a grind hunting can be. True hunters love that grind. Makes a harvest even more special when hard work pays off. Also, even more respect that you let that mother live so she could ensure the survival of her calves. That’s conservation.
This is so well made. The stillness has tangible tension in every moment you included of staring into the eyes of the elk... Perfection.
Glad I found your channel.
Well done young man! It is a pleasure watching your video way to keep it simple and to the point without a lot of music and hype.
Your attitude towards conservation is much needed. Thumbs 👍!!
i did a solo colorado elk hunt and the thought of knowing that the mountains lions probably looked at me and i never even saw them still gives me goose bumps
Love you’re way of thinking Sam!! Can’t wait for part 2!!! We’ll be waiting!
The quality of this is ridiculous. So much respect for the planning and execution it took for the hunt itself as well as the thoughtful videography and narration. PNW hunting is arduous and taxing, and this guy made it about 1000x harder haha. Excellent job, Samong. It may be coming in pt 2, but as someone who frequently hunts solo, I would love to see more discussion on how you keep yourself safe and plan for emergencies. Thank you!
I cannot wait for part two. I know something real good is about to take place.
Amazing dedication and discipline my friend can't thank you enough for sharing.
I'm jealous! Awesome hunt and fine video skills, well done! Grandpa taught me that "huntin' aint about killin'"....you are a perfect example of a sportsman. How did you sleep knowing that cat was there? Gave me chills, thank you! And when you do finally get him think of all the satisfaction you will get from all the effort.
This is actually insane. Made respect
Part 2 please. Awesome videos, gives some of us great advice and inspiration. Thanks Samong
Amazing and inspiring video Samong!!! Hope that trophy bull comes home with you!!
Thank you! Stay safe! Waiting for part 2!
Great trip so far. I love solo hunting. The mental game is definitely elevated. Anxious for part 2.
The only thing better, than a solo hunt, out in the backcountry, is a hunt with my two sons. You’re a true sportsman my friend. Passing on that cow.
You have nothing to fear Samong god is watching over you and protecting you on your journey. Proud that you did what’s best for the claves and not for you! I’m a Wa resident aswell and our elk herds need all the help
We can give them. Who knows maybe one of those caves is a bull that someday a young hunter has an experience hunting that will stay with him for life
I doubt God will come down and rescue him from any danger.
But his Bow will.
Great share, I love watching guys doing real hunting. Not the farming channels. Super dedication to the sport, animals, photography and clean experience. Now get him !
Awesome video! Hats off to you for sitting patience over that wallow I don't think I could do it. Keep up the hard work and that was another great video like always
Good ethical thoughtful hunting! Good on you brother. Best of luck!
Thanks for sharing and for sparing that cow and its babies, that speaks volumes about your ethics. looking forward to Part 2
Awesome job man! Thanks for the video, you elk game gets better every year!
You are very dedicated! Mad respect! 🫡
One of thee best video I'll ever seen so far!! Great job!! Waiting for part 2!!
Fantastic video. Without a doubt one of the best self-videod hunts I've seen. Great camera work, great editing. I was happy to listen to nothing but silence while you were sitting in the bush. Much more enjoyed that than the music a lot of guys add to their videos. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for a bull to appear with that cow. Good on you - for the reasons you stated - for not killing her.
I hate the sound a deer makes when being attacked by a puma or bear. It’s literally the scariest and spine chilling sound you can ever hear especially out alone in the woods. But great video and even though you’re probably dying inside of desperation, you’re demonstrating what it takes to be a hunter. Mad respect 🫡. For the first time I’m trying out bow hunting next year so I’m preparing myself watching videos as well. Keep them coming 👍
Is that what that was at about 11:00 ish? And he's out there alone, adds another dimension of scary
@@ninjanik2095 yeah those are some of the most frightening sounds ever and even if you know what makes it, it still scares you to your core. But it’s nature 🤷🏽♂️
Sounds more like bobcats when they're angry or mating
@@ninjanik2095 bobcats not a dying deer

I like the way you're organized. That's how I pack too. Great video.
Can’t wait for part 2!!
Outstanding video. I admire how deliberate and purpose driven when you hunt .
But when that cougar went off making some seriously insane vocals, you took that like a champ.
In dark timber with a bow, and an apex predator sounding like it's about to go full on crazy. And I saw you down load your gear and didn't see a pistol, I told my wife he was going to get face to face with something.
A lot of men would have packed up and called it over.
But you are motoring on and staying focused getting Boomer, well done.
I always enjoy watching a true bowhunter! Thank you.
Video just started. I'm so excited to watch.❤
What a cool video and start to an awesome adventure! Thanks for taking us along!
Awesome, can't wait for part 2
One of the best videos I’ve ever seen. Well done !!!
Another awesome video man! Your target bull is a monster!! Can’t wait for part 2!
Thoroughly enjoyed that! A journey is its own reward.
Been here waiting checking every day for an upload! Appreciate you sharing all your journeys
Outstanding effort, story and video!
The preparation and patience is admirable!
You are blessed to have these experiences my friend!
I’ve not hunted out of state or been able to hunt elk. Both hopefully soon. Your video popped up and I really enjoyed it. Very well done and I am soooo hoping part two finds success for ya!
Wow, awesome video. really enjoyed it. looking forward to part 2
Awesome video! Look forward to seeing the next one!
It is wild out there! The sounds of the forest are so foreign to us - thank God for the opportunities to learn about and enjoy His creation. Thanks for bringing us along on your adventure! Your patience helps me understand that many hours may seem unproductive, but to stick with it anyways. Godspeed!
halfway through, so far i love it, very informative. Glad you brought us with!
From Australia: Hi Samong, another great video. I'm not sure that I could handle being by myself for 12 days and at my age I couldn't carry all that weight. Keep up the good work and yes, I'm definitely looking forward to the next episode. Take care and God bless.
Dude makes solid content. Well done
Nice.
Your details are fun, and how you are humbled by the environment is what happens to me.
I hope you get him.
Glad that I coincidently came across your channel, and you impressed me by your motive to catch your dream elk. Wish you best of luck 👍
Cannot wait what’s in store for us! Either way keep it coming no matter what.
Such a great video man i really hope you do another one of these or a series it’s really awesome seeing the mix of bowhunting and bushcraft
love watching all of your videos. Keep them coming.

Awesome video. Thank you
Very happy to have stumbled on this video and your channel! Love the video man!
Excellent videography and drive!!
Goodluck! can't wait to watch part 2.
I've been watching your channel for a few years now, my favorite hunting content by far.
A few years now? Lol you know this guy personally?
@@jayredstone107 why would I need to know him personally to be a fan for a few years? You make no sense chief
I love these videos. Thanks for the content
So intense bro! Can't wait for part 2!
I know how much work you put in for this, especially with the cameras. Good job sticking it out brother!
Great video cannot wait for part 2!!! Wish every hunter is like you
I admit it took me awhile to open this..
Wasn't sure if I was ready.
When that cow revealed herself.. I knew.
This is a great hunt so far. Hoping it turns epic... waiting for part 2
I love the enthusiasm. Keep hittin it hard you'll go far.
Wow! Amazing content!
Damn dude, the anticipation was killing me! I love how you edited this. Felt so raw. I'm glad you kept alot of this in when I'm sure it may have been tempting to cut more. For whatever it's worth, I'm an video editor for my career. Looking forward to part 2!
Love seeing you back in the Bush hunting Samong
Well done brother, keep the hard work up. Cheers! ❤
dude this is amazing quality. great video
That's some quality hunting!

Outstanding young man!
Imagine hearing those mtn lion noises at night in the dark. HECK NO. the fact you stayed so calm lol
I love it man, great video as always. That cougar kill was amazing, I would want to go down and look around for it so bad but be torn between blowing my spot out!
Hope you get em!
