I bought this as my first amp with a Player series Strat... I’m having fun just playing with the amp and the different sounds. I really need to focus and learn how to play the thing! lol
How good did you get in the last two years?
@@jaquillahillahfoodstamps Only good enough to satisfy myself. I’m in my late 50’s with pretty severe injury to my left arm which affects three of my fingers on my left arm when I play right handed.
My natural instinct is to play left handed but the injury prevents me from strumming for any length of time. So I switched to right handed, and it’s a challenge.
One of the best things I did was switch out amps for tube amps. I could t get on with the Mustang amp at all.
Really good amp with a lot of features. I recommend the GTX100 so you can take use of the pedal and looper. The pedal can be used in three ways: presets, FX on/off and looper. It's so versatile and easy to use and program.
You can also purchase them separately as an option. That way you get the best of both worlds if you don’t need all that power.
@AKprime051 The foot switch is $100, which is the difference in cost between the 50 and 100. Anyone considering buying the foot switch might as well cough up the extra money up front and get the more powerful amp for the same overall cost.

Does it have a power soak for low volume playing?
Due to the power amp design it does not need an attenuator.
The Katana requires an attenuator due to the design of the power amp section, the tone is effected by how hard you drive the power section. It's a limitation of the design.
I'd like to see Fender modify the software so the end user can personalize the names of the modeled amps to names that as a corporation they can't assign without risk of legal ramifications.

@@PMTVUK your reviews are fantastic . I'm a fan of the chanel but you really should check out the issues I listed with this amp and I'm not the only one. If you go deeper on forums, a lot of people facing the same problems. It's really a terrible product unless the user is just content in using the built-in presets.
