- 639 "A New World of Fun: Action Soldiers of the World" Here they are, all six of the SOTW figures. Note that the 'foreign' sculpt of the head is only used for the German and Russian figures, not the others. The British uniforms appear to be the 'wooly' type and the brown boots are all tall. The Brits and Aussies don't have their stripes yet either. The faded color is a shame, as we would love to better see the color of the body on the Japanese soldier.

About time they gave Joe someone to fight! Most of these were geared towards WWII, but one could use the Russian infantryman as a foe and have some pretty good imaginary early Cold War play action!
I had the German Soldier ,my sister had the Russians Soldier.. we had a great time and you had to get out and use your mind and imagination....if we could only go back to those days.
My sister had the German guy...called him Hans...boyfriend of her Francie whom she called Fraulein Francie 😂

Kneon Knight Indeed. But in my personal opinion, I think instead of the French resistance fighter we could have gotten an Italian infantryman.
Kneon Knight No, there uniforms were practical. You see what I’m talking about is from the link the one sitting on the box but with a green uniform, the ww2 Italian helmet and a beretta sub machine gun, witch was one of the best sub machine guns of ww2. They should’ve gone specifically for the Berreta as pretty much everything else in there arsenal sucked. There helmets however were a pretty good design.

@@watchman0062 Hasbro could do this: The British Commando, The Russian Infantryman and a Chinese Nationalist Soldier for the Allies while the German Stormtrooper, The Japanese Imperial Soldier and Italian Infantryman for the Axis.

We really do need more Nazi GI Joes nowadays. Back when GI Joe action figures were educational and toy makers had balls.
Yes but sadly in today's radical cancel culture society they would be all over that item.
Two to three of these figures are bad guys, witch makes sense because gi joe has to fight someone.

@@joeblaster8770 it's because G.I. joe and Action man were meant for you to decide who they are and use your own imagination, with these toys you are not forced to fight one side, it's up to you to decide
g.i. joe originally wasn't ment to have enemy's but I don't think Hasbro really knew what was coming when they made two of the three axis and a russin
