Good morning 👋 You look so much more rested today. ❤ Bet your house smells good after making brownies and simmering soup all day! It's a chili and buns kinda supper day here. Still no more snow 😕
Loved hearing about the baking and when I heard you talk about chocolate brownies I decided to have a chocolate out of a jar of chocolates I received today. Your chicken Soup looks delicious. You have started the shawl. ❤😊
Glad you’re better ……. Get the sick days out of the way before the real holiday arrives. I wanted to THANK YOU for your advice to extend the Sophie Scarf when you get to the maximum increase. I added about four extra inches and it makes a big difference. I’m going for a two-color Sophie next, kind of like the half and half wrap. I’m knitting with a hand dyed autumn colored skein, and half way through I’m going to change to a solid. I think it will look great wrapped or tied. We’ll see.
That chicken soup looks amazing. We don;t really eat that a lot here in the UK but I need to hunt down a recipe and try it. It made me smile when you mentioned Wool Warehouse as I live in the town where it's based and I can actually see the building from my bedroom window!
I bought the book 📚 it arrived today 🎉 I read the beginning and now on to the testing. I am diabetic and the sugars she uses are slower absorbed so they don’t spike the blood sugar like granulated sugar does. It can and will still rise but it shouldn’t be sharp like sugar and quantities eaten are 🔑
So glad you’re feeling better Amber. Thankyou for sharing some of your devotional time, I’m struggling at the moment and I need some encouragement! I knitted the Cosy Autumn socks in Drops Nord and the yarn was very splity, now I’m knitting Twas the Night Before Christmas socks in a different colour way and it’s not splity at all!
LOVE the way those yarns are knitting up in the shawl! So gorgeous...can't wait to see how it unfolds. I make a similar tea for sickness as well. I add fresh thyme into mine to chase away a sinus infection and it really seems to help💚
Good idea about the thyme! I grow thyme in my landscaping so I always have it. I'm going to add it to today's tea as it seems that this cold is settling into my sinuses, unfortunately.
Ack. I accidentally hit thumbs down. I loved this Amber. So cozy. The wrap is going to be amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing it grow. Thank you for being open about anxiety/depression. I'm glad that the cold isn't keeping you down.
I’ll have to check the cookbook out! I swear by The Gluten Free Austrian. Her recipes are always a knock out and don’t taste gluten free at all. Not low in sugar if that’s something that is your preference, but if you want something that even non-gluten free people will do a double take on, her recipes are amazing.
You mentioned the Bakerita cookbook once before and I immediately ordered it for my sister as a Christmas git. She has a daughter who is sensitive to gluten. Her son in law cannot eat dairy. He goes into anaphalactic shock and will land in the hospital. I think my sister will enjoy this book.
I’m having the same problem here with these gray days and early darkness. It’s hard to get inspired to do anything. Glad you’re feeling better. Chicken soup is a definite when you’re under the weather.
@@alovelyyarn is it a Dutch oven? I’m looking for one. Wasn’t sure what type you were using. I really like the look of yours. Has that same vibe as your mug collection 😁
I feel like I have caught your same sickness. I made some of your tea last night and plan to do it again today. What a rough time to be sick.
Oh, I'm sorry that you are sick too, Tina.

wondering if i’ll ever catch up with all the videos that i have saved. amber, your house is so cozy and inviting!

😂I WAS wondering about your sweater!
I just finished my tulip sweater! I used a worsted weight with a 2" ease and it fit me well.
😂- you read my mind, I was about to write my question 😂😂
Your so welcome! I can’t wait to see how the shawl comes out!

I'm glad you found it helpful!
Central Michigan, I have not seen the sun for days😢
Vlogmas is helping, getting lots done on my LOSY hat.
It's so hard not to have sun.
Covid is back here in Toronto with a vengeance. I was very sick last Christmas, not covid but I do jot want a repeat.
Oh, I don't blame you for not wanting to get sick again.

Oh cool!

I hope you enjoy and use it as much as I have!
I love gray over cast days. Wish I could trade my sunny days for yours.
Oh wow! I would definitely trade with you if I could!
I went gluten free after hearing you say it helped your headaches. Thank you so much for talking about it. It has helped me tremendously
That makes me so happy to hear! It was definitely a game changer for me!
❤❤❤
Any chance you can share your chicken (?) soup recipe?
Hello Carol. I'm sorry. I never use a recipe for my soup. I just add what feels right.

@@alovelyyarn I hope it works for you!!
I’m new to sock knitting and your vanilla sock has me addicted!
Thanks
Thank you for watching!

Thank you so much, Dana! ❤️
That chicken soup looks sooo good, you can almost smell it through the screen. Also, digging the smooth jazz Christmas music, very Charlie Brown.
Hi Hailey. It was definitely delicious. I had it again for breakfast this morning. Lol.

I've not heard of her! Thanks for the suggestion!
I relate to your chocolate craving, last week I spontaneously baked a chocolate cake! We also don’t typically keep sweets around.
The brownies did the trick!

Oh, yes, I think she would love this cookbook!!!!

Yes, chicken noodle soup is so soothing. Thank you for watching, Pam. ❤️
My goodness that soup looked amazing! I love all the cosy shots you include in your vlogmas Amber ❤
Thank you!
What kind of pot or Dutch oven was that you were using to make the soup in?
Hello! It is a cast iron pot that is covered in enamel. I've had it for years. It's very well loved!
@@alovelyyarn is it a Dutch oven? I’m looking for one. Wasn’t sure what type you were using. I really like the look of yours. Has that same vibe as your mug collection 😁
@@alovelyyarn hope you are feeling better today!
@TheMoodyRose yes, it would be considered a Dutch Oven.
@@alovelyyarn thank you!! I will be on the look out for one!
Brownies look delicious!
I am glad you are feeling better. Everyone has been sick lately including myself.
I'm feeling a bit more poorly today, unfortunately. Didn't sleep well last night. I'm sorry you are also sick. So many people are.
