It is always so encouraging to find Christian knitters who openly share their faith in their videos! Thank you! I'm very excited to watch some of your previous videos while I wait for your next one. Psalm 139:5 became one of my favorite verses when going through a very rough time. It says, "You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me."
I love the colorful Felix pullover - it looks so happy! I’m grateful to hear an update, Amber, and I’ll continue to pray for you and everyone involved as you walk through this ❤
The verse you quoted helped me through many tough times. Will be keeping you in prayer for both the medical staff working with you and for your peace and health.
Amber a lovely podcast the Vertices Shawl coming along. The new cast on sweater looks great and the Maryanna Sweater is Lovely. Sock knitting which you do do well. I will pray for a good outcome with your health issues. Take care ❤😊
Amber, you'll be okay ❤ I have mitral valve prolapse and I had atrial fibrillation when I was 36. For me it was mostly due to being a highly sensitive person and suffering from chronic stress, anxiety. Then add being on steroids for another condition and dealing with my husband having a micro-stroke and a workload at my job on top of it all and you have a recipe for disaster 😏 I'm on betablockers now and slowly but surely everything is getting back to normal. The worst thing you can do is to keep worrying - that's why you have crafting, to take your mind off of things 😊 Everything is going to be ok!
Hi Amber, as a retired nurse who is experiencing some unexpected health concerns, I can totally relate to how you are feeling. Our medical back ground can help us understand but also can be a hinderance. I love 'digging my own grave', how true that our minds think that way. But the positive is we know how to advocate for ourselves and have the confidence to question the doctors and be an equal partner in our health decisions. Wishing you well as you find the answers and a medical plan that works for you. Love the table runner idea and extra fingerless mitts. I have never knit a Felix but it looks like the Flax which I find to be a great all round sweater. Take care.
Immediately when I started your podcast I was like „is that really RICO yarn in the background?!“ and it was!! I am working for the company who designed the yarn and I love that it managed to come all the way from Germany to the US 😊 idk things like that make me happy
Thank you so much for showing the Make it Tweed yarn. Just ordered 3 skeins. I too bought the knit picks Heatherly yarn (color is Sweet Bing) to make the Traveler by Andrea Mowry. Unfortunately the more I knit on it, the more I realize it’s just not doing it for me. The Heatherly with the multi-colored make it tweed will make a great raglan! Regarding your health issues, have faith that God squeezes, but He doesn’t crush. There are lessons in everything. Trust and go forward in courage. You don’t want to manifest your fears.
I love watching your vlogs, think I will need to make a Felix sweater. 😊 Thank you for updating your health concerns, praying for the best news and answers to your questions and concerns. It is so important to be knowledgeable and advocate for what results you need. Sending well wishes and continued prayers for healing.
Hi Amber! Your color choices for the shawl are beautiful and the Felix color combo is stunning-love it! Maybe you can make a Felix cardigan in the gray-just a thought 😉 😊 best of luck with your visit-sending love, good thoughts and prayers your way!❤
Hello . Loved your podcast. Using "Make it tweed "yarn is brilliant . Thank you for the idea. I ll pray for your health condition. Wooly hugs from Istanbul❤
I'm on a beta blocker to rest my heart. I had a stroke a couple of years ago one my carotid artery on my right side is completely blocked my left carotid artery is where my stint is. God has brought me through it. God will lead you to the right doctor and the right treatment for your body
Thank you so much for your encouragement! You are absolutely right, and I am so thankful for the assurance of God's sovereignty and knowing that He goes before me.
Prayers will continue dear Amber 😊 Psalm 91 has become my constant. When I reach an anxious state due to health reasons and events beyond my control, I recite this Psalm out loud.
Hey Amber ❤ just popping in here to say one of my children has had a lot of medical news/tests/diagnoses lately and it has been so hard. Lots of layers. Gried and gratitude, questions and so much anxiety, and just weariness in the navigating it all. So I resonate with what you're sharing. Also I was diagnosed with Wolff Parkinson White in college and immediately had heart surgery. It was successful in correcting the arrhythmia and I haven't had a problem with it since. Heart stuff feels very vulnerable though, and it has made me always very tuned in to any heart activity. I'm sorry you're in this place and hoping you have answers to all of those questions soon, and a whole lot of peace too! May God guard your heart and mind with His perfect peace.❤
Hello Amber I envision you sitting in the waiting room this morning finishing-up your socks, and then leaving the doctor's office with a plan and some peace after a thorough appointment full of solid information and much-needed answers. Lifting you up in prayer. I love the Scriptures you quoted. Wow! Love that basket full of Peruvian Highland wool goodness. Having extra fingerless gloves for guests is a LOVELY idea. That pattern is so gorgeous and only 200g!! Take care and look forward to your next upload.
I love your Felix Amber and am so happy that you decided no to frog the colourwork sweater! Sending prayers your way and wanted to thank you for sharing 💗
Girl…Lily is gonna claim that sweater 😂 it’s sweet! I’ve been curious about the ‘make it tweed’ and I love it! I have 2 friends one female & the other male with heart issues and both are treated with medication and both are highly active people. Defects from birth but didn’t notice until older. Leave it to God (but take gentle care) 🫶🏼
Amber, I just wanted to let you know that as soon as I saw this video where you are talking about the Make It Tweed yarn, I knew I just had to get some! I didn’t even wait for your video to end! Lol. I just went straight to the Etsy shop you mentioned, and ordered some straightaway. In the same color way that you have. I think it looks beautiful. Your sweater is looking, so nice. I ordered mine to put into a temperature blanket that I’m making. The blanket already has tweed in it, but it wasn’t looking quite “tweedy” enough. I think this is going to help and just be excellent. So I thank you so much for the idea. I’ve never heard of the Make It Tweed yarn before. Also, I am praying for you and your health situation. I am praying that all turns out as well as it can for you. You’re such a lovely lady and I enjoy watching your videos. I too am a registered nurse. So I know exactly what you’re talking about when you say that your mind can just run away with you with all of the worst case scenarios. Anyway, I just want to let you know that I’m thinking about you and praying for you and that I wanted to thank you again for the idea of the Make It Tweed yarn. Well wishes and hugs. ❤️
Hi Amber, don't worry about going on a beta blocker. I have been on atenolol since I was thirteen. It has helped control my arrhythmia . Have have had two aortic replacements. I have Marfan's syndrome, it affects the elasticity in my muscles and the heart is a pretty large one. The good thing is that it's known about. You and your specialist can talk through your options. You understand what they are talking about; with your nursing experience, more so than most people. Between you both you can plan your best path. I had really bad arrhythmia a couple of years ago. They took me to the day case theatre, put my under slight sedation. Apparently I was awake throughout the procedure. I have no memory of it. I woke up in the recopperation area and asked for some food and a drink. I was sent home the same day. They poked a tiny tube, from my right hip to my heart, I had two electric signals working against each other. They burnt a tiny section of my heart wall through this tube and that fixed the problem. I have been fine since. They keep an eye on me in clinic, once a year. I really hope you have a positive experience, it sounds like you get on with your clinician ok. You have your faith to support you and your lovely family as well. I hope that this gets resolved for you soon. I am sending you positive vibes as I am not religious. 💕💕🤗
I am so sorry for your health scares. I have major anxiety so I understand that, it's so hard to tell yourself to not overly stress, especially when it concerns your health or your family.
Hi Amber it’s so nice to see you, every time you upload a new episode I feel like I get to see my friend. If you don’t mind crocheting bubbles when ever you are knitting and encounter bubbles 😂you can use a crochet hook and crochet them instead of knitting and they are definitely easier to make and look much better.
Amber, your podcasts cost me money every time I watch you! Joined the blanket yarn club, today just ordered the make it tweed yarn! Thinking of you and praying for your anxiety as you walk this heart journey ❤
Hi. Great cast episode. I have AFIb and have worn monitors, had a heart ablation, and take a med every night now. The Lord has our plan. He puts the right people in our life to take care of us.
Another inspiring episode for me. A couple of things I want to add to my knitting agenda. I am feeling your health anxiety because I suffer as well. However, I’m 76 now so my health is much more tenuous. I’ve had missed beats all my life and have been to many cardiologists about them. They tell me that everyone has them to some degree but I am ultra-sensitive to feeling them and to worrying about them. Since I’ve made it to 76 through a VERY hard stressful life, I guess my heart is okay. Although I did make an appointment with a new cardiologist just to be engaged with one if I need it. I am on a beta blocker and it has helped the missed beats.Let’s pray for each other🙏❤️❤️
I love your podcast. I also love opal yarn for socks. You might enjoy the Anna knits podcast. She is from Germany and is a champion advocate for opal yarns. She also makes a lot of blankets , socks and scarves/cowls, very personable and faith motivated.
Amber, I’m so like you when it comes to what’s “trendy”. I was even irritated at my husband for buying an Instant Pot because I really don’t like having tons of kitchen gadgets. But it’s wonderful! Especially in the summer time when you want a hot meal, but don’t want to heat up the house (I usually set my Instant Pot to cook in the garage 😱😅). Huzzah for Team Instant Pot 😄
My husband had similar problems with his heart several years ago and he came through and will soon be celebrating his 76th birthday. Keeping trusting Amber, God has you in the palm of His hand. I definitely think you should knit your kerchief in a bright colour, when you held your Maryanna jumper up your face just lit up! Did you enjoy knitting the Felix cardigan? I’d like to make one. Thankyou for sharing all your makes with us. Take care and God bless. Xx
Amber, it’s great that you have a medical background because Google is a very scary place! Praying for a good outcome of all of your tests. Thank you for such a great podcast. Your knits are beautiful and those gift tags are so pretty! Take care. 💙🩵💜🌸🌻🌷🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
My mom has one of those rare heart arrhythmias, she has like a different electric configuration. She takes medication and has a bracelet with the name of the syndrome just in case. I recommend that for you, it’s easier for others to understand what’s happening in case of emergency once you have your diagnostic . Sending good vibes and healing thoughts. Your kerchief is adorable, I need one right now! Lots of hugs! Ahh I forgot! I adore my Instant pot! Lots of good meals come from that precious pot!
❤good morning Amber 🎉🎉🎉 Glad ur getting some results for ur 💜 heart!!! Takes time !!!! Thinking of you!! Glad to be with you this morning !!!! 💕 Elaine 💜🧦🏠
I love seeing your Vertices Unite and seeing how your colors come together. To me. That is the most fun thing about knitting. I have that shawl on my list to most definitely knit soon.
I want to make a Felix sweater too, I made a cardigan last time when you were making one out of the same yarn you used, and I loved it. It was so easy to make, and the yarn was so affordable. I can relate to some of what you were saying at the end of the podcast, I am a retired Labor and Delivery nurse and I research a lot, sometimes making myself more uncomfortable than what I need to be. God is in control, prayer and reading my bible truly are a blessing and comfort. Take care, and thank you for your podcast.
STILL haven't started a "vertices unite", even though I want to, I think the garter stitch is holding me back, I get REALLY tired of just knitting back & forth, but I have no problem with knitting in the round. (yeah, I know, strange. 😉). I think the "mini" vertices is stinkin'cute!! I'd make it JUST because its cute. OMG someone that actually says matryoshka correctly!! Pretty sure its due to your son, but its refreshing. 🥰 Its right up there like when someone says "chai tea", my brain short-circuits a little because I hear "tea tea"...chai IS tea!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂 Ah, pet peeves. I love LOVE that "tweed additive"!!! It's amazing how it added to the sweater!! Its been in the low 70°'s here in central California, I know much of the state has been inundated with storms, but they seem to split & pass my area... Still wishing you the best for your health, things work out. I agree, don't Google!!! Yeah, worst case scenario!!
I love my Instapot also. I got one as a gift years back, and at first my reaction was "What am I going to do with this?" Well, I decided to try a recipe and now I use it all the time. My original one recently broke and when we couldn't fix it, I bought a new one. I hope you get the info you are seeking about your heart disorder. I am a retired RN and know how my mind goes all over the place when I am not sure what is going on with a health issue. Sending positive vibes your way!
I love the make it Tweedy yarn you showed. In fact, I went right away and bought two skeins of it. I have the new Bermy basic 24 by Beth McDonald Stone in my library and I would like to knit it together with a fingering weight and with the Tweedy yarn you recommended. So thank you Amber, I always learn something from you.
Love watching your vlogs, Amber. Praying for you as you deal with your health issues. I love the Felix pullover & cardigan. I’ve made one of each using Berrocco Mercado yarn & ordered gray yarn to make another pullover. You inspired me to add the multicolor yarn that you used when I go to make the Felix pullover again. I did place an order for the other yarn to have when I want to start knitting it. Right now I’m knitting Tin Can Knits Harvest cardigan as part of a class at my LYS. My knitting is slower right now because I’m dealing with trigger finger issues 😢. Thanks again for sharing what you are or completed.
Love your Felix pullover!! I just finished my first cardigan and just got my yarn to knit the pullover. I’m learning that I can knit more than one thing at a time. 😂 I do hope and pray you are feeling better. My husband went through something similar back in the fall and it was very scary. He has now adjusted to his beta blocker and is feeling better now.
I am making vertices unite at the moment also. I have to say I am on section 3 and it is a slog. Cannot wait till I’m done but all in all I’ve enjoyed it very much and definitely want the product. Your colors are beautiful. I love the embroidered tags
I will be praying for you Amber! Psalm 139 is my favorite comfort psalm. It's such a great reminder of what you said about the Lord laying out every moment of our lives even before the foundation of the earth. ❤
Hi Amber, I also have three children, the youngest of whom is a homeschooled senior graduating this year, May 18. A bittersweet time, my homeschooling days are almost over. I’ll be praying for your health anxiety. My husband had his aortic valve and part of his aorta replaced 12 years ago. He goes into Afib once in a while, so I’m familiar with the heart stuff. He’ll need another surgery at some point. Anyway it can all be very unnerving but you are right that God is in control, He has you in the palm of His hand.
I used to have arrythmias, but they pretty much stopped once I finished grad school lol, mine were clearly stress induced. As a Christian it can be hard to accept needing to take medication for various ailments, but it's important to remember that God has provided them for us to use responsibly. I had to accept that taking anxiety medication was not because I was a failure as a Christian, but that my body just needed help to function properly, just like people taking insulin or cholesterol medications!
Amber, your new Felix sweater with the "make it tweed" made ME want to do the exact same thing! I absolutely LOVE your color combo. My one question, you are making it short sleeved, right? I will definitely want mine to be short sleeved, since we are getting into Spring weather and I need short sleeved tops. I am praying for your health. I didn't know you were dealing with that. Hugs and healing.
Hi - I recently found your podcast and I'm enjoying it! I wanted to let you know that you are not alone with your anxiety or heart issues. I also have several heart issues (including mitral valve prolapse) and anxiety about my health, and I understand how scary it can be to not know what's going on. I hope you get answers soon so that you'll be able to be less anxious.
That googling about medical problems can be such a slippery slope - I can relate to the fine line of wanting info and working yourself into a frenzy. Best wishes for you, take care!
🙏🙏🙏 Sharing your health information here guarantees so many prayers being lifted for you🙏🙏 I want to add that I've used my instant pot consistently for several years and it's an appliance I would replace if it broke. I used a small stovetop pressure cooker before that, mostly for cooking dried beans, so I knew it would be a useful tool. FYI, I recently checked out the Milk Street Instant Pot cookbook from the library and loved so many of the recipes that I decided to buy a copy. The recipes are mostly simple + healthy. Good luck w/your upcoming appointments ❤
Hi Barb! Yes, I will definitely replace my Instant Pot should it ever stop working. I also have experience using a stovetop pressure cooker which I only use when canning certain foods. The Instant Pot is sooooo much easier! It's been a game changer for me. Thanks for the cookbook suggestion. I will look that up!
I’m curious about 9” circular needles. Did I see you using them for socks? Have you talked about them? Do you have favorite brand? Do you knit continental? I have large hands, seems like it would be hard to hold. Thank you for your help! Laura
Hi Amber. I also homeschooled my 2 children. They graduated 2 years ago from the U of A. With them being gone, I have gotten back into knitting, crocheting, etc. I enjoyed watching your video and will subscribe to follow you. Have a great week.
Amber, good luck with your health issues! Given that you are a homeschooler, I just have to mention this one nit. "Casted" is not a word. "Cast" is already past tense. All the best!
18 months ago I had to wear a halter monitor for a few days. My heart had stopped beating for 4.7 seconds…a pacemaker was the answer. After it was all installed and adjusted I felt great. They go in through the groin and up through an artery; a very easy surgery.
Hi Barb! I'm glad that you got relief for your heart issue. I think I will feel better once I get these next two appointments done and have talked to both doctors. Thank you for sharing with me.
I love your podcast and am sending prayers for your health. Also I too just cast on the Felix! I’m using Berroco vintage in the color macaron and fiberspates cumulus in the color fig
I would be interested to learn which brand and model of instapot because when I considered buying one I was confused by the different versions. And I too am not a fad fan but definitely in the market for something useful.
Was just listening to your podcast I have the same problem with the arrhythmia I do take a beta blocker and I am on blood thinners for a long time , heart disease is in my family, I know what you mean with googling my daughter is a nurse telling me to stop that it does cause anxiety, I wish you well love your shows.
Hello! I talk about that more in my podcast episode I just posted today, but I basically just like the fabric I get with the US 9 needle. It's a bit too loose and open with the size 10.
I’ll be keeping you and your heart in my morning prayers! “ Come to Me , all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew :11:28❤️
I also love that verse. I love that entire Psalm, actually. Thank you. ❤️
I got the Summer Camp Kerchief Pattern. It looks great on you and will be awesome for spring and fall.
I love the colorful Felix pullover - it looks so happy! I’m grateful to hear an update, Amber, and I’ll continue to pray for you and everyone involved as you walk through this ❤

Thank you so much, Kate. ❤️
I used my instant pot to speed up the homemade vanilla processing.
benign pvc's here, had them all my life still scary to feel and deal with... dizzy here too but anxiety is the culprit, PTSD, anxiety blah blah blah
You should do the green and white until decrease and then do the 2 other colors with blue.

Your kerchief is adorable, I need one right now! Lots of hugs! Ahh I forgot! I adore my Instant pot! Lots of good meals come from that precious pot!
❤good morning Amber 🎉🎉🎉
Glad ur getting some results for ur 💜 heart!!!
Takes time !!!!
Thinking of you!!

Praying for you. I get not wanting to take meds. Praying that God's peace and presence are truly evident as you meet with doctors and make decisions.
Continued prayers for your complete healing Amber. God loves you.🙏🙏🙏💕💕💕
I love seeing your Vertices Unite and seeing how your colors come together.
I’m so glad I founded your channel 👌💝🙏
That Helix looks like sand with little beach pebbles. I love it. ❤
It’s actually the Felix sweater 😊
Thank you, Emily. It's one of my comfort verses, for sure.
I really enjoy your episodes. Thank you for sharing your health update. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Happy Creating!
Thank you, Angela! ❤️
Sending prayers for a speedy recovery
Lol I was saying, "It's a ranunculus!" just as you were saying, "It's not a ranunculus." Continuing to keep you in my prayers.
❤❤❤
🙏🙏🙏 Sharing your health information here guarantees so many prayers being lifted for you🙏🙏
I want to add that I've used my instant pot consistently for several years and it's an appliance I would replace if it broke.
Praying for you Amber! Praying especially for peace and trust in our good Lord and Savior!
Enjoyed your video you take care.😊
I’m curious about 9” circular needles. Did I see you using them for socks? Have you talked about them? Do you have favorite brand? Do you knit continental? I have large hands, seems like it would be hard to hold. Thank you for your help! Laura
I totally guessed Felix! The yarn combo is super cute! I hope it helps calm you! Blessings Amber!
Haha! I figured at least someone would guess correctly!
Hi Amber. I also homeschooled my 2 children. They graduated 2 years ago from the U of A. With them being gone, I have gotten back into knitting, crocheting, etc. I enjoyed watching your video and will subscribe to follow you. Have a great week.
Hi Terry! Thank you!
I picked up some of that make it tweed in a bulk box with other yarns used. I had no idea what to use it for! I'm so glad you mentioned it!
Oh yay! I'm glad you found some inspiration for that yarn! It's so fun!
Good luck ! ❤
Thank you!!
I love your podcast and am sending prayers for your health. Also I too just cast on the Felix! I’m using Berroco vintage in the color macaron and fiberspates cumulus in the color fig
Thank you, Kim! Your Felix sounds like it is going to be amazing!
I would be interested to learn which brand and model of instapot because when I considered buying one I was confused by the different versions. And I too am not a fad fan but definitely in the market for something useful.
Hello! I have the Instant Pot Ultra in the 6qt. size. I don't know if that model is still manufactured. I think it may be several years old.
Googling is such a horrible idea, and I know that and yet I succumb at times and do it anyway!
Im curious as to why your went down a needle size? I am sort of new at this sweater knitting. Thanks!
Did you find that you needed the same amount of tweed as the wool?
Hello, yes, you would need the same yardage for both yarns.
How are you making your homemade vanilla extract? I tried it with vodka it’s not working out so well and it’s been soaking for three years. 😂
Hello. I use vodka. Maybe you're not using enough vanilla beans?
