Good to see you! I truly understand about the health anxiety. I am a retired RN and I know enough to get myself concerned about everything! But I have to remind myself that God is in control of my life, He already has a plan for me. So like you, I do my best to trust him. It’s not always easy and it’s not always easy to pray about it. But He holds us in his hands and if we trust him He gives us peace. I’ll keep you in my prayers 🙏🥰
So well said! Me too -a retired RN and also struggle with that…do I see a pattern here? LOL! Thankful too for knitting and hope God smiles as we enjoy making things 😊
Praying for you! I'm watching this in June so hopefully you were able to sort everything out since January, and you are enjoying your summer now in good health. Sometimes it is a long time coming, unfortunately. But God knows your needs, and you are never outside of his tender care. It's always good to step back from social media and connect more fully with Him.❤🙏🧶

When covid first reared its ugly head, I was drawn to Isaiah 41:10. "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." God is aware of our tendency to fear and He cares about every fear we acknowledge and face. God also encourages us not to fear so that we will trust in His presence and know that He is listening and working on our behalf. I pray that you feel His presence in your life and grants you peace in your health struggles. God bless, Amber.
I have knit 4 sweaters in the time I've left a pieced sweater waiting to be mattress stitched!! 😂 so don't feel bad. I have a huge mental block.

It was so good to hear from you. I have been praying for you that all was well and you’d get back to us when you could, and, voila, here you are. As usual, you have inspired me with both the knitting, but, more importantly, your spiritual journey. I, too, am dealing with health issues and it wears me out trying to find a doctor that will listen. BUT, God is listening and always by my side and I needed to hear your reminder that it’s God that I need to just trust in because He’s always faithful. Plus, I like your take on less Instagram because I can control my exposure less than UA-cam. Bless you, Amber, and I’ll be praying for you.

Wow, Amber, that blanket is going to be so beautiful! At your recommendation, I made the H Iris Wrap. Used an old Advent calendar, and I LOVE how it turned out! Will be praying for your heart issues - you are a wise woman of God to pursue Him over social media as you process all that's happening. I pray that he will being peace and grace to your struggle, as well as healing to you body! Sending hugs!

Quick thing on anxiety and cardiac issues. Irregular heart rate or rather can cause anxiety in its own right. I only learnt this when my cardiologist said "I bet you have anxiety right?" Anxiety can be a symptom of cardiac things and from personal experience once you are on treatment it really helps. God is good and is with you always. Sending prayers and hugs. 😊
As I sit listening to your life update, I totally understand the anxiety. I too am going through a struggle and have found Psalm 46 to speak to me. Ive read it several times a day and also have to kind of shut outside "noise" out to keep from focusing on God. Be still and know that I am God is what I am learning. I'll be putting you on my prayer list.

Great to see you back and getting over that dreadful virus. I'm desperate to have some sunshine days - just been very wet and windy in the Highlands after the snow. To bring some colour in I've signed up for a monthly subscription in the UK called the floral project. Each month you get seeds and sew them online with Nicola from the project with the idea that you will have beds of flowers throughout the spring and summer to fill up vases inside. Looking forward to having that colour around. Look after yourself and enjoy the walks :)

In my experience crocheting is not faster if you are using a 3.0 and fingering weight in a sweater pattern! Seems slower to me than knitting. I crocheted the candy scarf too, and love it for snow shoeing and hiking in the woods to keep face warm, and it was fast, but a lot of spaces, large stitches and hook. Thank you for recommending it. Very enjoyable crochet.

So good to see you again .glad you are better..I had a similar cardiologist..made me cry..I’ll never go back to him.just had another minor surgery with the best ever female surgeon who actually called two times to see how I am..hope you find a doctor like that! ..thanks for sharing!!❤
Sending prayers your way! In the winter (and all the time), I love drinking rosemary water. It's just my homegrown rosemary put in a tea holder and plopped in a nice big cup of boiled water. It's wonderful! It has really helped my sinuses. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
Amber, amazing podcast - thank you! I am 75 and have always had health anxiety. I’ve always had generalized anxiety and agoraphobia in particular. Although at the height of my suffering I didn’t even know what was wrong and actually had shock treatments for it. You are such a delight to watch. I will be praying for your inner peace during this difficult time - there are so many that really care about you. You are blessed!❤

Hi Amber,I am also a retired registered nurse and 2 and half years ago I had a near death experience when I had 2 different heart arythumias happening at the same time Atrial fibrillation on the left side and atrial flutter on the right side of my heart after stabilising me I had an ablation on the right side and medication for the AF the December just gone went to the cardiologist for routine check and ended up in hospital having cardioversion done I am doing well now and remaining in normal rhythm.So I know how you are feeling and send all my love and best wishes for speedy recovery.I live Queensland Australia and the weather has not been kind it is extremely hot here and I living in air conditioning 24 hours a day.So God bless and keep you safe ❤️😘💐🧶
Praying for you! Totally get the health anxiety- right now dealing with it for my daughter. Seizures are breaking through the meds and we have a scheduled hospital monitoring stay in the next month. Praying that they catch something on the EEG- they're tricky and frustrating.

Thank you Amber for another inspiring podcast. I recently finished the Sonder. It is a very good knit, although I did find the yoke quite ‘slim’ fitting. This however was likely due to the wool/hemp combo fibre which I used. 😊

Your Euphorbia shawl is amazing. All your projects are amazing! I would have loved an advent from Brazos!! Amber, I will be praying for you and your health concerns. It is times like these that we really begin to grasp the deep concept of faith. Not being able to see the end or the how, but being confident that the Lord will be with us and never leave us for eternity.

Amber you’re in my prayers. I too suffer from terrible anxiety and the anxiety attacks are terrifying when they happen so I totally sympathize with your situation. Your faith will see you through! You’re doing the right thing in making your health a priority and letting go of the outside noise. I have found sensory overload makes my anxiety worse so I try to limit my time there when I’m feeling anxious. Keep praying and giving your worries to the Lord.
On another note, you mentioned Cozy Color Works in your video and I wanted you to know that yes they are still dyeing. I love their yarn and make sure to make them my first stop at their booth every year at Rhinebeck. Sandy and her staff are so friendly and accommodating! Be well 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Yay for knitting gifts throughout the year - I do that and have a gift basket to throw finished items into with a tag attached that says who it's to (so that I don't forget!). The headband you knit for your daughter is ethereal, so lovely. Regarding the Vertices Unite and your daughter, Mom to the rescue!!! It's so wonderful when our loved ones really love and appreciate and use something we've made with love with our hands. Just the best feeling!! I'm 100% with you on really wanting that burst of color in winter. So excited that we'll be Sonder twins!!!!!!! Amber, I am so glad to hear you are finally conquering that awful illness. It's just the pits to have an infection or virus that seems to hang on. I will pray for God's comfort and healing presence as you go through this trial with your health. As you said, God is always faithful and some days we just have to tell ourselves that His grace is enough to get us through the day. We are so blessed to have a relaxing craft that we can concentrate on to give our minds a rest from the anxiety that can plague us when we face difficulties. I'm excited to see your new projects. I am trying to finish up some things from 2023. I have promised myself that I will not start anything new until I have finished a few things (doesn't stop me from dreaming of new things lol). Take care.
