Oh I love that I just found this! I started using the cards in the 1980's. My rock bottom moment was horrible. And in front of strangers. My MIL was coming to stay for a couple of weeks and let us know pretty much last minute. We had a small house then and boy did we stash and dash that day. I had the brilliant idea to stash alll the extra boxes of crap, kids large plastic toys, extra laundry, etc in the horse trailer. We totally forgot about it until I needed to pick up a new horse a few months later. I always put away my trailer after using it all hosed out and clean so it didn't occur to me to open it. Imagine my horror when I opened it at this very rich and beautiful horse farm and all that crap was stashed in there! I had to drive the hour home and come back. It was a massive wake up call. And notice we missed none of those things for at least 3 months. That night I went to a bookstore and found the Sidetracked Home Executives. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
SHE Sisters, My Mother loved you two! She would always call me when you were on TV, and tell me to watch. When Mom passed away, my 25-year-old daughter and I moved into the family home, which still had all of my parent's belongings in it. (A 1910, two-story house with attic and full basement.) As you can imagine, I haven't been able to let go of any of their things. Today I had a discussion with my daughter and told her that she needs to be more organized. Then, I told her about you. I thought about Moms SHE coffee mug that she bought when the two of you first started. I dug into a tightly packed cupboard in the kitchen, and in the very back, I found three of your coffee mugs! I gave one to my daughter and said, "Here's a hug from Grandma, and some encouragement from the SHE sisters." She went online and found one of your books. (She is a reader, like her Grandma!) So, you've blessed three generations of my family with encouragement and laughter. Thank you! P.S. I'm going to read your book too... : )
@@KathyRobertsTidyTutorbig hugs ❤ Pam seemed even lovlier in person than in the books! I am sorry you had to lose her ❤ I rediscovered my card box (from 2014-ish when my kids were 4 and 1) in a 'stash' bag last month in my older son's cupboard 🫣 I then decluttered part of my craft cupboard on a whim at the weekend...and found the S.H.E book in amongst my pile of knitting books!?!? I had searched everywhere and thought I must have stupidly donated it! It was obviously a sign!! Was so sad to go to Pam's website and read her 'bonus son's message 😢 but I am reinstating the cards in her honour! 🎉 Pam and Peggy presented us the gift of hope and clarity - lives well lived!! x
We were going to continue on with those, but just a short time after she had a medical issue with her heart. She is all well now thank God. We will do more things together in the future. I just talked to her a few days ago. :)
@@noelc2 I am a fan as well after reading their first book in the late 70’s I searched and searched the internet a few months ago searching about Peggy after I found Pam, I found a small paragraph ( don’t know how old it was) that stated Peggy has MS and it broke my heart ❤️ ( my brother has MS ) I wish both sisters the very best ❤️
Yep, I still have my card file box full of cards. You changed my home and my life. Thanks, Pam.
I love her too Jeanne. So very much :) Thanks for taking the time to comment.
So happy to have found this interview. Loved the Sidetracked Home Executives. Really helped me years ago! I was looking for that book again

I love Pam! Out of all the books, aren’t you so glad you chose that one?!
Oh my gosh yes, I was flipping through procrastination and organizational books, flipped through theirs and the humor and index cards hooked me.
I love this video so much. Watching y'all have the most ADD conversation ever (and understanding it completely) has made my day. 😂
